We absolutely loved our stay of this hotel. We had a suite on the 27th floor. Which gave us access to a club lounge where we enjoyed our margaritas and a lovely spread of dinner food.
The hotel is lovely. The breakfast buffet is quite the spread! Great variety of freshly cooked food of many ethnicities. Nice pool area overlooking the river.
Our absolutely favourite pastime at this hotel was sitting in our room, watching the river traffic. Early morning, late at night it didn’t matter. Always some action. A real window into a different type of life.

I stayed here while attending a conference at the Shangri La. It is about a 15 minute walk, but a quick ride in a taxi or tuktuk. I enjoyed having some distance to retreat between and after meetings.
The Royal Orchid feels like it is a bit out of the foray of the city that truly doesn't sleep. There is only one street coming in and one going out and all suites face the river. Every morning you see the colorful tugboats towing their cargo out and every evening, the river lights up with dinner cruises and energetic music.
There's a convenient shuttle boat to ICONSIAM for shopping and reasonably priced food and local crafts through to iconic global brands like Hermes and Louis Vuitton. You can get a proper Thai massage just up the street and the hotel is conveniently located next to River City, a mall themed around antiques and art.

The hotel is definitely a bit worn in terms of furniture in the rooms; however, the beds are comfortable and clean. Price is right and the location is my favorite of all the riverside hotels being close to Talat Noi/Charoen Khrushchev and Icon. The garden pool is very nice along with the shuttle boat. The room views are stellar as they all face the river

The hotel is in good location to explore the city attractions like the grand palace , Wat Pho , wat Arun and Icon. All can be done using the city boat service .Restaurant wise maybe a bit limited. Hotel is reformed, but well maintained. Staff is attentive, always with a smile. The sea food restaurant , Yatch Club was at a miss, seafood but missing lobster during a weak day dinner.The boat service was very convenient. Breakfast with many options. Noise from dinner cruise boats can be heard from time to time.

The Icon Siam was conveniently close, and the free shuttle boat made it easy to get around. The hotel was clean, and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was excellent, but the dinner buffet was terrible. We entered a little after 8 PM, but they didn’t inform us that the kitchen would close around 9 PM, and the food was not replenished. We paid about $150 for two people, which was very disappointing.

Amazing location by the Chao Phraya. VERY friendly, smiley, helpful staff. Excellent pool next to the river. Sprawling breakfast. Classic 70s lobby. Spacious rooms, yes they are very slightly dated in places but this in no way affects their comfort. A totally relaxing stay. Thanks to all.

Great hotel right across from Siam Mall. The hotel offers free boat shuttle to the mall every 30 minutes. Huge breakfast buffet Selection with so many options. Loved it.

My view on Bangkok is simple - stay along the Chao Praya River. This is my 4th time in Bangkok and I always stay on the river. Now that they have built this amazing Mall across the river from the Sheraton it is a must see and experience. The dining and shopping opportunities at the ICONSIAM mall is fantastic.
The Sheraton is comfortable, clean and well appointed. The 2 pools relaxing and all along the calming riverside. The staff is pleasant and, of course, the boat the hotel has that will transport to and from the ICONSIAM and other spots in the river.
Avoid the crowded, bustling city and stay along the river. Would easily return here to this hotel. Well priced, too.

Had a couple of days to explore Chinatown, Bangkok. Hotel was convenient and the river view was outstanding.

Nice hotel, only unpleasand matter was air-condition at room. Air-condition only cools the air but it did not dry the air. So the air in the room was cold and moist :(

Great locations - right next to the dock for the orange high speed boat which goes to the main sights on the river. Across the way from a beautiful mall with high end stores and great restaurants. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Pools were a great way to spend the hottest parts of the day. Buffet breakfast was excellent. Room was a little musty and the laundry service was well done but silly expensive.

Welcome staff annoying and needed big deposit for our stay. We got excess charges of our room rate . Waiting to be refunded.
The charges posted from Expedia could have been enough. The extra deposit was not used and unnecessary because our credit card was handy in using the facilities. Restaurant was expensive.
