All the staffs were really nice. Especially, Mr.Chan Kim and Ms Hyun Park made our day whlie we were staying!! Thank you so much!! It was my mom's special day and these two people cared so much for us! Starting from the restaurants(Ms Park) with kind guidance and pleasing responds upon all the requests we did for our kids, we could finialized the special day really special by special care of Mr Chan Kim. My mom was very touched and appreciated very much.
Thank you so much again for us to make unforgettable stay! I joined Shilla S membership which gives discounts for the restaurants and great promotion! I will be the loyal customer in Shilla!

Awesome property, the staff is just top notch. Very clean and nicely appointed rooms, overall, one of the best hotels i have had the pleasure of spending time on holidays.

Shilla staff are extremely hospitable and attentive. Thank you to the concierge who emailed me back every time within minutes to assist with plans. I actually moved my reservation from the original plan at the Four Seasons, because their concierge emails saying their volume was too high to respond to my request for your booking.
Shilla buffet is EXTENSIVE with many options for Asia and Western cuisine. We loved the coffee bar and gluten-free options.
The pool is a very nice facility with good food and drink options. Heads up that kids under 140cm must wear a lifejacket, which my kids didn’t love, but had fun in the smaller pool without.
Even though they say no toiletries, there are large bottles of shampoo, etc and soaps in the rooms. No need to take up space in your suitcase like I did!
Decor and shopping in Shilla is very high end. Everyone wearing designer purses and styles. We were more casual but you could dress up as much as you would like.

We were three friends travelling. We were provided with two single beds. My friend slept on the sofa. We had to ask for the third towels etc. The air conditioner didn’t work. The maintenance team wouldn’t admit to fault. Extremely crowded lobby. The room service was lovely. The staff on the whole were courteous and helpful.

The rooms are really lovely with great linens on the beds. Very comfortable and quiet. Staff was great and truly went out of their way to be helpful. We had a great time and used the pool. The buffet breakfast is memorable.

On this trip, I stayed at Lotte and then at Shilla. And then in Tokyo, I stayed at Imperial hotel.
To jump to the conclusion, I would stay at Lotte on my next trip. The Shilla room was beautiful but not useful or functional. Not enough storage or drawers like Lotte.
The best room was the Imperial hotel. It has tons of drawers and yet is very tastefully decorated. The room on the imperial floor was like a room in another universe…….so quiet.
The Shilla hotel was so noisy with young people……..in the elevator, at the 23rd floor lounge…….practically everywhere. It was a BIG contrast to the Imperial hotel in Tokyo. Also the Shilla lounge was worse than the lounge at Lotte, in terms of food selection, convenience, quietness and the availability of seats. At Shilla lounge, they charge almost 1700,000 won for a guest at the Happy Hour which is a dinner essentially. It is too much.
The Shilla concierge was helpful. I give 5 stars to them.
Overall, Shilla is a good hotel but it did not live up to its Samsung reputation in my opinion. Shilla paid a lot of attention to the beauty and elegance of the room but not enough attention to the details and the need of a guest I felt at Imperial Hotel,
I suggest that Shilla restudy their goals and decide what kind of guests they want to have.

Fantastic hotel. Cannot recommend this hotel enough. Had the pleasure of a 5 day stay here. The rooms are spotlessly clean. Fabulous bathroom with shower, separate bathtub, and separated WC. Excellent fitness facilities that we made full use of. Location very good and easy to travel from to get to notable landmarks in Seoul. I am a regular traveller and I look forward to returning to this hotel. I won’t be looking elsewhere for my stays in Seoul - it will always be the Shilla Seoul.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Their breakfast buffet was excellent. The room was a little too small. Usually I can tell the difference for my VIP treatment. I didn't think I got it in comparison to other experiences.

I reserved a room for three adults, and one child, and then, when I arrived, I was told that the room only had beds for two people. The staff agreed that the reservation was confirmed for four people, but it only had two twin beds and I asked them where were the other human beings sleep? They just stared at me. My wife had the same conversation with them in Korean and they just stared at her. I was then told me to pay for two extra beds with a daily charge. I had already paid additional person charge. It made no sense at all.

The staff was fantastic and took great care of me. Able to answer any of my questions as well as drive me to the front of the property upon arrival as well as drop me off at the bus station free of charge. Would absolutely stay here again.

It was just as lovely as everyone has reported. The front desk, room service, bellmen, etc, were all so very friendly and kind. Every staff person we met went out of their way to help us and offer a first class welcome. They were exceedingly polite, especially with our language barrier. Many of them spoke English fluently. It was just wonderful to be treated so well.

**"Overpriced Disappointment: Claustrophobic Rooms and Poor Service at Shilla Seoul"**
My recent stay at Shilla Seoul left much to be desired. Despite paying a hefty 30 percent extra for an early check-in at noon, I was greeted with disappointment. The room was claustrophobic, and to add insult to injury, the heating/air conditioning didn't work properly, leaving me out of breath and unable to sleep properly.
To make matters worse, when I ordered dinner, it arrived a staggering two hours later, highlighting the hotel's sluggish room service. The hotel's incompetence was further highlighted when I attempted to navigate the streets using Google Maps, only to discover it didn't function properly in South Korea. The hotel staff's lack of knowledge left me lost and frustrated.
Overall, my experience at Shilla Seoul was an overpriced ordeal, marked by cramped accommodations, sluggish service, and inadequate amenities. I would caution anyone considering this hotel to think twice before booking.
