Nice hotel in good location in Ghent. We were moved to a large corner room after tv did not work in original room. No kettle unlike other hotels we stayed in in Belgium

A very spacious hotel in the centre of town. Parking available at high cost. I’m impersonal standard rooms with little character. No view from the window apart from a hotel wall.

Upgrade to a larger room was very much appreciated! Our room was located in the renovation area of the hotel, but we did not experience any disturbance or noise. Very comfortable, large, quiet and pleasant. Really enjoyed. Lobby area clean and comfortable. Courtyard is nice to sit. Amazing historical site right in front of the hotel. Beautiful. Location of the hotel is ideal. Fantastic. Right in the middle of town and walkable.

The hotel is excellent, with extremely helpful staff. Wonderful position and fabulous room amenities.

We faced the town hall so it was noisy most of the day especially until early morning hours on weekend. Super convenient location though. Near to everything! We were in second level only. Wished it was higher! Had requested for two beds but got one double instead 😵 but we arrived late in the night after a long journey and too tired to ask for any changes. Disappointed that there was no bathtub. Loved the eco initiative of getting drink coupons instead of having room cleaned. Not really worth asking for room to be cleaned either since not really that great a job. Better to request for new towels and coffee refill which they take forever to bring too.

The perfect place to stay for a short city break… the hotel is in the centre and all the attractions are in a walking distance. If we visit Ghent we’ll definitely stay there again

The hotel is close to everything. When we arrived there was an issue with the air conditioning. We arrived during an unusual heatwave. The staff was very good about moving us to another room in the hotel. The manager was helpful and very friendly. We enjoyed our stay immensely.

Excellent quality. We stayed in the executive rooms which are spacious! Great beds! Breakfast buffet is great! Service excellent. Nice parking facility with plug in services. Friendly personnel (eg Ana)! Excellent location next to the city hall! Worth all its stars!!

Clean, renovated, great location, surrounded by dining options and points of interest. It’s under renovation. So ask for a room in the renovated area.

I stayed in this hotel during the big city wide festival, which I didn’t know was happening. It unfortunately colored my experience at this hotel quite negatively. I read the reviews and booked an updated room. Upon check in, the staff member upgraded me to a suite because it would be at the back of the hotel and this quieter. It was not. The room faced a street and it was noisy outside until 6am. I asked for a new room facing inside the building and was again given an outdated suite. While it was much quieter, the room condition was awful in both rooms. The carpets were stained, the wallpaper was peeling, the beds were horribly hard and uncomfortable, and the second room had a weird smell. In addition, the photos for this property aren’t accurate. There’s no restaurant in a charming vaulted brick room. I’m confused!

We were made aware of the festival and enjoyed our stay in Ghent. The room was clean and spacious.

this is our second stay at the NH Ghent as we stayed in 2022 for the festival- sadly this time we had several problems with the room, firstly no coffee \tea facilities provided, ( they did sort that out once we raised the issue) then the room door was not able to be locked when we left the room, so had to lock almost everything in the safe - ( this was then fixed the following day) the mini fridge in the room was installed but totally empty and turned off- (this was fixed the next day) then, finally when they fixed the room door issue- our entry cards would not work and it took three trips back down to reception to resolve this. it is a real shame as the staff are lovely but it does appear that the handover from contractors for the recent room refurbishment and the pre guest arrival room checks were not done properly, hence these oversights which did marr what was a lovely few days in your lovely city. i hope that these hiccups can be resolved as we would love to return and use your hotel again.

The location is ideal. Near so much of what we wanted to see and do. The staff was welcoming and provided excellent service. The room was large and very quiet, bed was comfy, shower was great. Breakfast had great choices, all delicious. We very much enjoyed our stay!

Still under construction - looks like it will be awesome when it’s done. Other reviews call the “old rooms” terrible - we had an old room and it was perfectly fine - suited us well and no complaints.

Having stayed in the NH Collection Antwerp on the previous 2 nights we were looking forward to the Ghent one. Our room in Ghent was superb with lots of space and great views. However, we hadn't been warned that the hotel was undergoing renovations. The breakfast in Antwerp was great so we were disappointed that on our first morning in Ghent we only had paper plates, bowls and wooden cutlery and a limited selection of food. It was back to normal on the second morning and there must have been a problem with the kitchen during the renovation work. It would have been better had we been warned about this but nobody mentioned anything at all. We also had to ask a few times to get our room cleaned as we had no card to request room cleaning. As a result we had no re-supply of tea, milk or water. In the room, which was newly renovated, we were surprised that there were no USB sockets at all and no kettle. We were able to borrow an adapter from reception and eventually a kettle was provided.It was also quite cold, probably as it was a large space, although the heating was up full. These things were understandable but on check-in I think we should have been told that the restaurant was not open and that the renovations were making things difficult. A shame because the hotel is in a great location and I'm sure once it is finished the hotel will be a wonderful place to stay. The staff were obviously doing their best but it would have been better to be upfront about the kitchen problems.

The service was impeccable. Very nice, very clean and a great location. Highly recommended
