While the staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms were a little grotty and the aircon barely worked making it very stuffy and uncomfortable at night. I liked the pub next door - probably one of the cheapest places in Geneva to get a cold beer on a hot day.

The hotel location is great for access to Geneva’s main train station- directly across the street and convenient if you’re just passing through. The lobby is lovely but our room was a dump. Wallpaper was peeling off with clear water damage over several walls. The room smelled of mold and mildew. We had to keep our patio door wide open to make the room breathable. The shower is so small it was impossible for my husband (average size man) to reach above his head to wash his hair and he couldn’t turn around in the shower or dry off in the bathroom. Walkable to Old Town and the lake (15ish min) so was tolerable for our one night but I would never stay here again.

The property is centrally located and thus a useful location to get around Geneva. On the other hand, it can be noisy at night if you're trying to get some rest. The hotel is old but adequately maintained. The free Geneva pass was excellent allowing use of buses and trams.

I have stayed here several times and the staff is lovely. Right by the train station. Yes, the place can use an update however that is reflected in pricing relative to nearby properties that are modern. The rooms are clean and the bedding and towels are spotless. The AC worked well and the water pressure was excellent.

If you are looking for a low cost option I think this is a fine place to stay. The bed was comfortable, and it was nice to have a fridge in the room. I also found the room to be quite clean with the exception of the balcony which includes only a chair and a dead plant. I could see that one of my neighbors had a table and a partially living plant. The one thing this place needs to fix is the AC. It has no power and when I entered the room it haf been off for God knows how long. It didn't feel moderately cool until the next day...and then only less hot than outside. I hope they will improve their AC as this is a huge factor in the summer. Also, it would be useful to tell guests that there is an awning and those metal blinds at least in the balcony rooms and that could help the place be kept cool. Finally, don't use the chain deadlock. I was embarrassed to get stuck in the room, which was actually kind of scary in addition to almost missing a very important bus. This was very upsetting as I had to turn on my cellular roaming which I never do and god knows how much that's going to cost me. I spoke to another guest who also had a lot of difficulty with this lock. Despite these inconveniences, I really liked the man at the front desk who works in the evening and I found the location convenient. I would consider staying here again if I spoke to the staff beforehand to ensure the AC has been on and the hairdryer works )this has been another issue).

We were very happy about the proximity to the train station and the location also allowed us to walk to most of the places we wanted to go. Great stay!

Good Hôtel, centrally located. Ideal for short stays of say 1-4 nights.

Astoria Hotel was near the Genéve-Cornavin Station, so,it was convenience to check in single room with heavy carry laggage.

It needs renovation. Not worth the price

Walkable to many places and close to the airport.

The room and building were quite warm. You need to put your key into the master switch when you walk into your room which means the AC turns off when you leave. It takes a while to cool back down and the humidity kinda lingers. But otherwise the hotel was nice for a short stay and conveniently located near the main train station. The old town and lake weren’t a far walk.

Convenienient, clean, and fair in price.

Conveniently located, but with that said, you could hear the city at night. Also, I selected the “pay at the hotel” option yet they charged my credit card immediately for one night. When asked I was told that I would get it back after one week, which I didn’t, and when we checked in, I was told that it would be returned. After four nights there, when we checked out, I was given a receipt that it was returned (dated the day of check out) and was told it was up to my bank to clear the return.

Good. Next to the station. Clean and comfortable. That’s what I needed.

Clean hotel with basic amenities. Excellent location directly across the street from the train station and easy walk to lake side. Efficient check-in. Room small with lack of storage space and bedside table. Tiny bathroom. Quiet room facing out to rear. Sports pub/restaurant adjacent with good quality meals and snacks.

Rooms are comfortable but oldish, however maintenance is being done. Breakfast is ok but choice is limited One very positive point is the location in front of the Cornavin train station. Overall, good value for money

Convenient place to stay close to the train station downtown. Super diverse part of town and a little gritty, but the hotel itself felt safe. Like most European hotels, space is a premium so pretty small area, but just fine for one night before leaving from the airport.

Very nice place, perfect location. Staff are efficient and friendly. In the room I was in, the shower water pressure was pretty much non-existent - water fell from the shower head almost straight down. Other than that, all good.

Wonderful location and very helpful staff. The only thing I would comment on is the AC, but is something comment in most hotels in Geneva.

Location is great. Breakfast wasn’t included in my rate but you can have a standard breakfast in the restaurant. I liked the little fridge in my room. It was comfortable and clean. The tub/shower is a bit high so I had to be very careful getting in and out. Overall a good stay.

Really convenient hotel to railway station and an easy walk to town centre and lake. You get a travel card for transport in Geneva which was fantastic Rooms not that special but have everything you need and quite reasonable for Swiss prices Can’t beat the location and would choose this hotel again
