Easy to find location. Balcony overlooking the lake was beautiful. Breakfast was adequate but maybe lacking on food options. Room was nice size. Lacking extra comforter in room. Toilets were certainly low to the ground but still ok. Just concerned about top security door lock broken. Beds were adequate but a bit firm.

View was excellent! Hotel is a little outdated but clean.

Safe, quiet, plenty of parking. Nice staff. Within walking distance of the ferry and town (if you are a walker). Definitely the best money bargain and access to ferry to the island compared to Mackinac City and other places at the upper tip of the lower pen. We walked right up to ferry and hopped on. Next day with drove through Mackinac City and the line went for blocks and blocks.

The room was clean and bed was comfortable. Staff was very accommodating and they serve a small breakfast too. There was an inside pool with a hot tub that we really enjoyed. The room was right on the lake with a small deck. We love sitting outside watching the sun come up. Very peaseful.

Air conditioning didn’t work, matresses were awful, lights kept flickering. So we literally got no sleep and we should’ve just passed it up and gone home.

All the staff were friendly. The rooms and exterior were a bit dated but clean. The breakfast area was remodeled and offered enough.

The person at the office was very helpful in letting us know about the ferry and restaurants on St. Ignace that were good. The room was clean and comfortable. We had a wonderful lake view.

Nothing to like, a tired old motel.

My stay here was lovely. The front desk workers were friendly, kind and helpful. Walked into the room and it was freshly clean. The pool and hot tub was clean. Breakfast was okay, I would have loved more hot food options for breakfast but overall not too bad. There are a lot of bugs on the patio and patio screen but it wasn’t too disturbing. It did take away a little from wanting to sit on the patio and watch the water. I would definitely come back and book again.

Only thing preventing an overall fifth star rating was the lack of variety of foods for breakfast. Waffles and cereal - weak. Perhaps the hotel website should say coffee, fruit, pastries and waffles. As presented, one assumes eggs and sausage, and oatmeal, at least.

The doors were unsafe. Our room was dirty.

If you're looking for a comfortable place to put your things while you explore the UP you're not going to find a better place. Dave at the front desk gives a perfect first impression and starts your stay with kind words and suggestions if you ask. Unbeatable views, clean beach, close enough to get to things without a hassle but also just far enough away from the traffic of the strip. This will be our go to place to stay for any Eastern UP adventures.

The hotel is in a great location with its own beach on the water and has a great indoor pool. But the property is incredibly dated and needs major updates. The staff were very kind and friendly.

5 stars. Exemplary service, extremely clean rooms and property. The property manager was very nice and met our requests without hesitation. The breakfast bar was always well stocked and well attended by friendly, hard-working staff. Any staff member we encountered was friendly and polite.

This is a well maintained motel. The staff was very friendly & hardworking. Our room was fantastic with a two-person jacuzzi tub & a cozy balcony looking out at Lake Huron & Mackinac Island.

No complaints

This was a wonderful property for our stay to Mackinac Island. The facility was very clean, hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the Lake Huron view out our balcony was breathtaking! We did not expect the “lake view” to be so close and that we could see the island in the backdrop. This was the biggest plus of our stay here - make sure to request “lake view”! Also, we were pleasantly surprised that they had a free shuttle for Shepler’s Ferry. We had already bought tickets prior to our arrival so we were expecting to just drive ourselves there. This was very convenient since the parking lot was full at the ferry. A few things that could have been better, but really don’t impact my rating. The bathroom was dated and shower didn’t have the best water pressure. The toilet also sat really low. Also, the breakfast didn’t include eggs or meat, but just bagels, toast, cereal, etc. Depending on when you arrived, there wasn’t always a table to sit at for breakfast due to a small dining area. If we ever come back to Mackinac Island, we’d love to stay here again!

Nice, clean, quiet motel. Beach area is lacking but probably due to higher water levels. Continental breakfast was very minimal.

Because we booked through Expedia we were give a non prime room. Ground floor room at far end of property with a slider door with very poor lock on it. Felt somewhat unsafe.

I really appreciated being right on the lake and having the sliding door out onto a little patio. Being able to just have the screen door open was nice when it was cool. The chairs on the patio were new and comfortable and you could move them out on to the grass. We moved them into the breeze one morning because the morning sun shines right in off the lake into the porch area. The breakfast was definitely continental, but I wouldn't consider it a hot breakfast. You could make a waffle or put hot water on some instant oatmeal, but the only protein options would be hard boiled eggs, yogurt, or milk. But I didn't see that they ran out of anything because the food and dining area was very well attend and kept clean. The coffee machine was much better than having the usual "pump pots" that often seem to be empty when you try to get a cup at other hotels. It was a little inconvenient that the office/breakfast/coffee was quite a distance from the motel itself and was uphill from it. I had no idea when we drove in where the office was because it was so far from the building and looked like a private residence. There was a sign on it that said "office", but you wouldn't see it unless you looked directly above the entrance as you drove past. But the weather was nice so I didn't mind the walk. The staff was very friendly and the grounds were kept clean and even worked to sweep up the goose droppings. Our room was cleaned at convenient times and they gave us clean towels each time.

Everything we experienced was awesome accept for 1 thing. We had a hot tub with our room. It could have used safety bars for assistance. Otherwise the stay was awesome and worth the price. Our thanks to everyone
