Good rooms and great staff

Been asked to stay at reception until the staff completed room inspection for releasing the bond; but we rushed to leave.

It was comfortable, but the room could do with some maintenance. Skirting boards in room missing and could do with a paint. Also the toilet seat was loose, tried to tighten but unable. I have stayed here many times but never had a room that looked tired and needed attention

Location was okay, really easy to get the tram but I would stay somewhere else more central. Room was good, bed was comfy. Room was clean, hotel was a little dated but rooms look better

Good room, shower etc. Air con not working properly, un seasonally hot weather in Melbs so was a bit uncomfortable sleeping. Other than that it was a good basic clean room.

Bed comfortable , location excellent- close to everything but our room was close to a lift and it sounded like we were at the airport

Very good location close to Southern Cross station and supermarket. Very clean. Amenities are Australian standard (basic level but enough for use). The room is comfy, equipped with a fridge. Breakfast really does not worth going!!! I am on discount but still don't find it worthy. only basic cereals, toasts, egg, beans, milk, coffee machine. For AUD 15 (regular price) and with staff serving the food, they should make more variety of food and make it a better part of the hotel service....

Comfortable room size, comfy bed, could not regulate A/c, so chilled the room down then turned it off but got a bit too warm through the night. I accrued a benefit of $10 off beverage or food but the restaurant was closed in the afternoon and we checked out too early for breakfast, so it was useless, works have been better to take it off the cost of room.

We live in Melbourne ourselves but every so often we pop into the city and get a hotel just for a bit of fun. On this occasion, it was because we decided to go on a tour that was leaving at 6.45am and staying in a hotel meant we could sleep in a couple of extra hours. So we weren't really wanting the best hotel in the world, and this hotel met our requirements. The best thing about it is the location, which is right next to Southern Cross Station, meaning you can easily get to wherever you want to go, plus it has a lovely big Coles supermarket right next to it (better than the Woolworths supermarket in the station itself) and heaps of cheap eats. All of that is amazing. None of that is the hotel itself. The reception staff were horrible. We were greeted with a sneer and a second receptionist complained when we asked for extra pillows. The swimming pool is quite possibly the worst I've ever seen, and then they have the coldest sauna I've ever heard of. But, in saying that, the hotel was cleaned well every day, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was good enough. It wasn't terrible, and for what we wanted it was great. It's decent value for money. But this is not where you want to go if you want luxury.

Was not happy we weren't told about 25 a day parking when last time I stayed I didn't pay for parking so wasn't expecting to Was not offered breakfast option had to ask for it

Not to bad accommodation and our disability room was good but the wall behind the bed made so much cracks and noises it sounded like the wall was going to fall down

I was charged for breakfast when it was meant to be in the booking. Staff were rude about it. Would never stay there again.

Just convenient, clean, comfortable, friendly, unpretentious and value for money. I come into Melbourne from regional Victoria and I can train in as Southern Cross station is close, or opt to drive and park. No drama. Staff are always helpful and on hand if you need help.

Great position near Southern Cross Station and DFO and easy access to Skybus to airport. Have stayed multiple times and very convenient with 24 hour reception and storage of bags if needed. Room clean and tidy.

Check in very quick and efficient, friendly. I didn’t have many demands on the hotel though was fine for working in room as part of stay. There was a simple breakfast but as I didn’t use it I can’t comment.

On arrival, we were greeted by friendly staff. Based on our one-night stay, we wish could have stayed longer. Beds are comfortable, it's clean and we'd go as far as to say it's been one of our best experiences.

The hotel met our needs having everything within walking distance. Parking was affordable at $25/night. The one who attended to us at check in could have been more friendly and warm in his aproach.

Overall it was a good location convenient to trams and rail. Comfortable hotel.
