Lovely staff. Wonderful location. Our room had a lovely bay view and balcony. Room was great. We have a dog who was given his own bed and dishes and treats. Only thing to let it down was that the restaurant menu could have been better. Minor flaw.

Beautiful hotel with lovely staff. We were made very welcome, including my husband’s guide dog. Dog treats, bags and dog bed were particularly welcome. Had a very nice meal in the bar, a bar of local people with a great atmosphere. Beautifully decorated light room with a side view of the sea. Wonderful promenade with far reaching views across Bilbao. Will definitely be back.

We love everything its such a nice and clean Hotel location, the restaurant and the staff we would love to stay there again.

The property was outstanding! We had the corner room over looking the water. The perfect ending to our Northern Spain trip!!

If you are renting/driving - I recommend a smaller vehicle. The parking is in a tight underground space near the walkway/entrance The view from the window was beautiful and the area was quiet and calm In the bathroom, the bidet broke when the water was turned on and water went everywhere, the shower was also not clean the caulking showed dirt and some grime The metro was a bit of a walk from the hotel, but it was a pleasant walk through a neighborhood and park The hotel was also a short drive to Bilbao, which was convenient for more sightseeing Minibar champagne was also old

Really enjoyed our stay here. Perfect situation for coast and city. Beautiful location. Restaurant staff, food and lounge delightful and coffee maker in lounge very welcome More ramps needed outside for luggage access and wifi was poor. Bathroom was elegant, but shower controls complicated.

This is a truly relaxing boutique hotel with a lot of charm. Although within a very quiet neighbourhood it benefits from spectacular views of the bay and a promenade just out front. Plenty of character in the old historic building and the staff are very friendly. What more would you need.

Excellent hotel, everything from the polite and helpful nature of the staff, to the quality and cleanliness of the room was first rate. Attention to detail is the key to the success of the hotel. It has a fine location, overlooking the bay at Getxo and with easy walking distance of the town's bars and restaurants. Highly recommended.

the receptionist was extremely helpful. She guided us the best way to reach the ferry port. On her advice we used the Puente colgante with great success. We would criticize the hand basin in the bathroom which mu husband likened to a spittoon, it was a good description !!

We enjoyed the Hotel Embarcaderovery much! It was clean, quiet and the staff were excellent!

Don't expect chintzy furniture and carpets at this very trendy hotel. It is decor is very much black, white and silver, with wonderful vases, ornaments and pictures to match. But, it is very comfortable with places to sit in peace and quiet, access right onto the promenade for a stroll along to the beach, a restaurant and cafétaria serving a wide variety of excellent food. The staff are delightful and very helpful. We paid the extra for a sea view room which is well worth it. Our room was very comfortable and well equipped. And, a major plus, the hotel has its own underground garage as parking in the area could be a nightmare. The Metro station is about 5 minutes walk away and that is only 12 stops from the centre of Bilbao and the Guggenheim (at less than £3 a head return!). Our only complaint was finding the hotel which, although set back on a major road, is very discreetly marked and not easy to spot when driving by. But we loved staying here and would certainly return.

Hotel was decent in a good location (location by the bay only useful in warm/ summer weather). Room was a bit small which made it not very comfortable, but okay for a day which I spent.

This is a really lovely hotel. Very friendly staff and the food in the restaurant was amazing quality for the price. The only bad thing was the bed was very hard which is to some people's taste but not ours. They were kind enough to switch us but most of the rooms were similar. The location is perfect for Getxo. Halfway between all the different things to see but right on the promenade. The beach is a 10 minute walk away. You are very near a metro station (5min walk) that will take you right into central Bilbao. Definitely better to stay here than in Bilbao itself. Highly recommended hotel.

The hotel is a conversion of one of a series of late 19th Century family homes on the promenade and has stylish decor and layout.There is limited on-site parking, but you can (at a price) use the on-site undergound garage.I didn't get a chance to eat in the restaurant (except the buffet breakfast# but everything looked to be a done to a high standard.Handy for teh Brittany ferry #if you cross teh river by the brilliant Puente Colgante.
