Rooms are in need of a fresh up. Floors were dirty, our white socks got black. Good breakfast and restaurant. Pool ok.

A little tired hotel.. it is quit and realaxing, but pretty old. Everything is old and looks so... starting from old stile small TV in the room and finishing with the pool, chairs.. everything. Also you have to walk up and down the hill, pretty expensive restaurant on the beach with okey food, not like it’s goid, it’s okey.. and there are nicer beaches and nicer properties on Koh Chang.. also it is more then 2km away from the main road.. pretty far from everything... it is okey.. but can’t give it more then 3 points... there are more convenient located and better options in my opinion.. it’s Ok though.. the views are beautiful.

Sold as an upmarket beach hotel the marketing photos look great when I booked however we were given a tired small budget room at the end of the complex that had no bearing on the advertised rooms. Room was dark, bulb missing in ceiling light. Brown painted walls and dark old furniture. TV was old type with a poor quality picture. Bathroom had shower hose over the bath But bracket to hold the rose was 3ft above an old bath with dirty brown grout. The water was not hot and poor water pressure too Needless to say I gave the shower and bath a miss. Main reception was nice and staff helpful, pool are and beachfront nice and restaurant was smart with a nice breakfast. Overall our room was not as advertised so disappointed especially at the cost. It was advertised as 4 star hotel and we had a 2 star room. Maybe the rooms advertised are nice but the budget block is not mentioned.

Rude staff in lobby! Not okay!

Good and Nice. A bit outside The city but they have shuttle van. A bit Poor english in The reception. Nice Restaurant at The sea. Great pool with a bar and Nice cocktails.

HONEYMOON. We loved this place. Staff and management was excellent. Service was great. Location is perfect with no traffic or cars. The hotel have own minivans free of charge to and from White Sand Beach. Breakfast was very good. The resort have our best recommendations. We will visit again. Best regards Mr and Mrs Fure.

Amazing place. We enjoyed it very much. The staff were very friendly. Mrs. Nunnapatt known as Aey was very professional, so helpful and accommodating. The place is dog friendly and my dog enjoyed it very much, specially playing with Mr. Alex, the bellman, what a great smile he has. We will be back.

Customer service can be improved. The front desk staff was very helpful, courteous and polite. The staff by the pool area and in the restaurant need more training.

The best place we stayed on our entire vacation! The staff was always friendly and helpful. The facilities were amazing. And the location was absolutely beautiful! Then add peacocks on your private balcony and a great breakfast to make the experience completely perfect.

Compared to the other resorts on the island this one was quiet, clean, very friendly staff, secluded but only 1 km away you can rent scooters to go see the rest of the island. The choice of food was lacking a little but you can go eat at many other places.

Hotel and reception staff excellent.Restaurant was a let down as service was slow and the meal I ordered was different on each night . The first nights meal was as expected but though the same meal was ordered there was less vegetables the presentation was not as good as was not as shown in the menu. My girlfriends meal was as shown but was served slowly and not as the same time . The staff made the excuse they were busy but there were only about 5 other people eating in the restaurant at that time.

To be honest other Thai island looks more suitable for me. Koh Lanta is more quiet, Koh Samui is more chic, north Koh Phangan is more serenity. I'm not a big fan of Koh Chang but this hotel is one of the best: private harbour with private beach (good for swimming morning and day time), big, very well designed and maintained hotel area. Nice restaurants, helpful staff, free shuttles two time per day to White Sand Beach and small village nearby with nice Orthodox chirch. Rooms (villas) looks pretty old designed but nice too. Overall - good for relax.

I think it's like ant hotel. They spray ant removal, but it's same..ant climb up bed..it's terrible for us. And the staff certainly told us every mini bar is free but the last day, front staff give us bill for using mini bar. It's so ridiculous.

We enjoyed the quiet, away from the excitement of White Sand beach. The view is magnificent, but the bay itself is not great for swimming. The water tends to be brackish, so we recommend Lonely Beach. It can be reached by taxi for 100 B per person, in about 20 minutes. However, the Aiyapura pool is marvellously well maintained and great to swim in. They have a gym and a few beach side play sites for younger children.The Aiyapura is very clean and in fairly good condition (some rotten wood on the steps, some outdoor lights that need new bulbs). The food is overpriced, and not fantastic. For example, why are they charging 150 B for a fruit shake? Even an upscale restaurant charges only 60 B, and a roadside shake is 30 B. Their free breakfast provides lovely local food, and poor western food. And their coffee is dreadful! They also miss a lot of opportunities to provide activities for guests, although they do have kayaks and mountain bikes for free borrowing. They could do a better job of guiding guests to outside activities (where they could probably benefit themselves as well). Actually, they appear to be fairly clueless about what is available on the greater island.All in all, we would return: the lovely room, great pool and peaceful atmosphere were very much appreciated. We would know in advance to eat and seek beaches elsewhere. I didnt see another place along the beach as nice to stay at as this, even it were closer to the beach.

Nice Resort, the rooms with the private pools are Wonderful.

The resort has different levels of accommodation, ranging from two-star to probably five-star (though I didn't see other rooms). I was in the cheapest room and it was still quite nice. The bathtub needed a bit of refinishing (loose fixtures), but the room was otherwise clean and had balcony overlooking the bay. The shared resort facilities and private beach are what make this resort. The beach is hand-cleaned regularly (daily?).

However, the free shuttle finishes at 7 pm which was very disappointing and earlier than I've ever come across.The food in the restaurant is good and reasonably priced, although obviously more expensive than town.The spa is worth a visit.The towels are not ready in the morning until about 11 am which was rather frustrating - they obviously need to buy more!

Loved the spectacular views and accommodating staff. Nice buffet breakfast. Peacocks roaming the grounds really added to the ambience. Would like less sugary drinks at the swim up bar. Would've like to be warned of the many steps...lots of climbing involved.

After reviewing a number of options on Koh Chang for our honeymoon we opted for the Aiyapura. The first thing you should know about this hotel is that it is rather isolated. We found some taxis that hardly want to take you there. On the night we arrived the "ocean view" room we had reserved was not what we were offered. Yes, it was during the Thai New Year, but they offered no solutions other than to say they were "very busy." The rooms were not all that clean and the towels and other amenities were not even close to the standard of a four-star hotel and the walls seemed stained/dirty and the bathroom was not clean (especially under the sink). The next day the hotel pool appeared a sickening color of green. Oh joy! A sign stated they were cleaning the pool for the entire day. What? Why would they choose to do this during such a busy time? And why did they let the pool get so dirty that it was green before posting a note that they intended to clean it (they never did by the way)? The buffet breakfast was horrible, drinks ordered at the bar took an inordinate amount of time. When we talked to the hotel staff and managment about a refund they gave us the runaround and the General Manager was uncooperative and dishonest in dealing with us and Expedia representatives regarding a refund. We ended up leaving after 2 nights and stayed at another resort (a fastastic experience in contrast to Aiyapura).
