Great location but not very clean

It was nice and quiet although the hotels a little older overall had a good time the staff was very friendly and very helpful

Simple, clean pillow great, beautiful view, hardly in room but everything we needed

The room was not clean. Pillows was dirty. Walls nasty. We took pictures. We did not stay there. We found another room at a different place. The smell was terrible. Door didn’t close completely. Very unsafe.

we decided on a spontaneous beach trip- and since we had a nice time at this hotel last year we chose it again- i booked a cheaper room initially but when we arrived i decided to upgrade and the man that checked us in was very helpful with changing our room- we eneded up with a perfect room with an ocean view and a patio- we had a very nice time 🙂

Liked the location. Didn't like no room service & cold showers.

Very clean. The only problem I had was when I left the beach door open, the floor got slimy. Not the hotels fault.

Of all my travels, this MOTEL was horrible with poor conditions. I have pics which if anyone is interested at [email protected]. If u stay buy lots of cleaning supplies. The rooms throughout this place had a bad odor. The rooms were an upgrade. The eating utensils were old and dirty including the drawer. Due to the unmatched dishes, it appears someone stayed in this place and had to move out. The refrigerator was dirty, rusted on the inside/outside; table/chairs dirty; the oven was old/rustic; the walls dirty with red/brown spots throughout; the baseboards were very dirty. The microwave was rustic on the inside and dirty. The windows were dirty as well. The dresser drawers were dirty. The bedspread was spotted. The bed was not properly made up. Oh I forgot to tell u, the bed is not really supported and was easy to move if you stood close to it. The toilet had poop on it and tub had long hair strains inside tub (we r a bald couple). The shower curtain had mildew and I called for a replacement that same day, spoke to someone and one was not delivered. The furniture was old and stained. There was a hole in the wall behind the bed and had to use tissue to cover it to prevent any critters (cockroaches, etc.) inside the room. During July 4th holiday, We paid for 12 days $1490 and my husband noticed I was unhappy. I told him I couldn’t stay here and no other rooms were available when I checked in at the office. We left the next morning.

We had to buy a bag of ice, the machine on property was out of order. 10 minutes before check out they walk in my room husband still in there and was like we thought you checked out! when he clearly pass me 3 minutes before taking things to my car. Boogers on the wall and head board

Tub still had hair in it. Not a clean room. Will not be going back.

We spend 3 days at the driftwood. The bed was comfy. We had a balcony and kitchenette in our room and really enjoyed the easy beach access. The only negative part would be that it could be a bit cleaner. On the other hand we do understand that there are people out there that live like pigs and do not try to clean up after themselves and leave it to hotel staff to clean with limited amount of time. We enjoyed our stay here and would come again

Lightning was poor but I think the turtle nests were being considered. Maybe some solar or reflectors at the top of the stairs would help. Other than that this motel met our needs and was reasonably priced. The desk staff was very helpful in getting us moved to a lower floor with a member of our family on crutches. It was clean and location was great!!!!

We loved being right next to the beach and we had alot of attractions near us. The room was clean and staff was very friendly.

Carry cleaning suplies with you

The best part of the room was the view of the ocean. And who doesn’t enjoy the very musty smell of an older motel. We did appreciate the large amount of flying ants that were on the vent in the bathroom. We also appreciated all of the ashtrays left On our balcony & outside of our room. The sheets were a very odd print, but seemed clean??? The pool was fine, except for the large family that was there from Tennessee & didn’t pay attention to their 3 kids, under the age of 5, swimming by themselves (with floats on). There is very little parking. We had to park in a lot across the street & pray we wouldn’t get towed (thankfully we didn’t). We will never stay there again.

The property is an older motel and could use an upgrade. The room we were in was small with little room. However the penthouse we also rented was very spacious.

I am not satisfied and would like a refund. We did not stay there as it was not clean.

My will and I have been coming a few times a year, we always enjoy the incredible view.

No maid service… we had to put our towels and trash outside the door every day… Our rooms were not cleaned for the three days that we were there… Commode backed up regularly… Luckily there was a plunger and a broom in the room so you can clean it yourself…. Hotel in poor shape… we were on the third floor and there were no elevators…

Really nice place

I will just start with DIRTY! Very dirty! Room smelled like something out of this world. Broken front window. Bathroom had mold on shower curtain, hair in shower and on floor. Food drippings on table and nightstand. Coffee pot filthy. Something stuck to walls beside bed...not sure what it was. It actually appeared to be dried nasal discharge. Dead bugs in main light fixture. We had no private patio or balcony which may have been my fault in booking...not sure. Our oceanfront view was a window. Door to room was on side of building. Had two chairs in the walkway around building that I assume was to be our rooms patio but others were sitting there throughout our stay and blocking our window view of the ocean. The grassy picnic style area outside was decent and the gentleman that worked the desk in the evening and when we checked out was nice or this place would have gotten a one star instead of two. We were only staying one night or we definitely would have gone someplace else if it were a longer stay. The nonrefundable booking keeps you there or you lose your cash.

Parking was horrible, from check in to check was not a pleasant experience, i would ever recommend this hotel to any one i know
