Stayed for the weekend in Dover and the guest house was lovely. The staff are very friendly and had knowledge of local attractions. The room was spacious and clean. The beds were super comfortable, and the shower great. Breakfast was great, with a wide selection of things available.

Beautiful restored house. Our suite was well decorated and had plenty of seating and comfy bedding. But stairs were hard with heavy suitcases.

Right next to a noisy bar so hard to sleep. Very mediocre breakfast. Lots of stairs so packing stuff up and down is a pain. Definitely not a family B and B

Car park is tiny and has a low walk that cannot be seen from drivers window that makes it impossible to see and maneuver. Many people had challenges trying to park.

We arrived early and did not expect to check in but wanted to just leave our bags. The hostess took a while to answer and when se answered the door she was quite annoyed that we arrived early. She ended up letting us check in early after complaining that we didnt alert her about it before hand. She then complained about requesting a taxi for us the next morning saying it was difficult to get. We dis not eat breakfast because we had to leave before 8:30. The food in town left a lot to be desired. The cliffs however were stunning and the ferry ride to Calais was lovwly.

Very clean hotel with lovely bedroom and fridge and tea and coffee. Unfortunately we could not book breakfast at hotel however there were a few cafes open at 8am only 5 minutes walk away.

Room was clean and pretty, although Im not sure it was the one we had indicated we wanted. Big complaint (tried to find a way to contact the manager privately, but could find no way to do so): She called us when we were at the Calais ferry terminal to ask when we expected to check in. I said we didnt know, as we werent sure how much time it would take the ferry to arrive, how long it would take to catch a cab, how far the Dover terminal was from the hotel, plus we knew there was a time change. She was very persistent in her demands to know when wed arrive--terminal was noisy and we were trying to deal with our luggage, etc. I finally asked a ferry employee when we would arrive. I was panicking because it was about 7 p.m. and I was afraid she was going to give our room to somebody else if we didnt arrive by a certain time. It ruined the trip across the Channel--my first--because I couldnt stop worrying about losing our room on the last day of our trip. There was no need to put us through this--manager should try to be more understanding of what foreign travelers are going through and how upsetting a call like this can be.

Sarah is an excellent host and could not do enough for us in making bookings and giving of advice with regard to any questions we had. If I am back in Dover absolutely no doubt that I will be booking this place again

The hostess is very friendly & welcoming., although we were unsure where it was & tried to call numerous times, to ask directions, but there was no reply, so we were worried that there was no-one in. However, she was there & was very informative. The house itself is very tired looking & old fashioned when you enter. The hall area is small & cramped and had hazard tape over the letter box, which doesn’t give a good feeling. The landlady did ‘upgrade’ us to her 4 poster bedroom from the double we had booked, which was much better and I would recommend. The bed was very comfortable & the room well appointed. Breakfast was very nice & plentiful, & the breakfast room is light & airy. Overall a good position for the castle & the harbour, with good parking facilities,

This is a nice boutique type B&B in central Dover. It's central location is its biggest asset and biggest drawback at the same time. It is in easy walking distance to the town centre and a five minute drive to the ferry terminals. But the central location also means some traffic noise. The building feels cramped due to too many doors and narrow staircases but the room we had was a good size and spotlessly clean. The owner is friendly and helpful.

Lovely big family room en suite. My boys absolutely loved it. Plentiful breakfast and enough parking. Great location for Dover castle that could be reached by foot, and close to town also. Has a lovely pub close by where channel crossing swimmers sign their achievements on the walls- very interesting. We did not try the food at the pub as it was a free food Wednesday where we could bring our take away and they would provide warm plates, cutlery and sauces.Brilliant idea!!! The hotel host had a warm psrsonality and made sure we had enough local information. Great stay and will definitively go back.

We have stayed many places in the past weeks, and we have travelled many times, but we have never stayed in a place where you can't leave your luggage. I think it would be very important to state on the check in that it is very strict on the 4:30 check in and that no one is at the house till then. I think for travelers to try to book flights, driving times and train times around that time is important. It is difficult to drag luggage around with you. We have arrived at places in the past that also has 4 or 4:30 check in, and if our train arrives early you can leave your luggage somewhere and walk around till check in time or till your room is ready. We were not aware that there is no one there till that time and we were fortunate that we caught the women just leaving when we arrived, I am not sure what we would have done if no one was there. We had an extremely small room and had trouble with 2 of us moving around in it. I booked from other people's past experience and I very sorry it was not a positive experience for us.

New owner was very nice and helpful but needs to check what patrons need instead of expecting them to ask for what they want. Website needs to state that there are steep steps up to the rooms which makes it very hard for older people. Room was clean and tidy but too small for 2 people and there wasn't anywhere to hang clothes or drawers to put them in.
