The staff were very helpful and the restaurant was great! Beautiful courtyard, comfortable rooms and AC. Great location for walking around Oaxaca.

We stayed at the hotel 6 nights and overall was disappointing. The photos of the hotel are misleading as provide an impression that you can enjoy sitting in the main area only to realize that it’s a sinking room and there is no lobby and sitting area in the hotel except 2 arm chairs. Moreover, the entrance of the hotel looks like a back entrance to a restaurant where several rooms with empty fridges and hotel inventory is stored. We received 1 day before check out a notice that a taxi is waiting for us to leave the hotel, and only after inquiring the hotel staff realized it made a Mistake. While a hotel staff, hardly knowing any English, at the reception agreed for our late check out in the day of stay, she didn’t inform the receptionist the following day who was about to charge us extra for late check out. We had to argue with the staff convincing of their mistake. The only food compliment I can give is to the wonderful room cleaning staff who cleaned the room and arranged it nicely. What else was disturbing is that there were no fridges in the rooms, an appliance you would expect considering the room price per Night. Overall impression was disappointing. I am attaching some photos to reflect the view from the main entrance and main area of the hotel.

Casa Vertiz is a beautiful hotel. I eat breakfast and dinner there multiple times during my stay and the staff and food were impeccable. My room was comfortable and spacious. I highly recommend Hotel Casa Vertiz.

Casa Vertiz is a gorgeous property. The room was everything we needed and more. The restaurant in the courtyard and the bar upstairs were beautiful and very convenient. The staff was very helpful. I would definitely stay here again the next time I am in Oaxaca city.

Perfect place to stay in Oaxaca! It’s nice and close to a ton of restaurants, bars, museums and galleries. The room was impeccably clean everyday and always looking great. Staff was very friendly and willing to help. They have a doorman 24/7 and lock the doors at sundown so that made me feel extra secure and helped me sleep easy. Can’t beat this place for the price. Would absolutely book again.

Very friendly staff, nice courtyard, solid bar on the roof. Showers were hot with good water pressure. They cleaned our room each day. If I had to be nit-picky I would say that our bed was a little too hard. But overall, we had a good time and enjoyed our stay.

Our room did not have a window facing out, only to the courtyard. The staff spoke very little English. The coffee in the morning space was terrible. The coffee I made in the room was excellent. The room was comfortable. Bathroom good. Towels ok but frayed. There is AC.

Location were perfect! You can walk even at late night feels much safe and some of the best restaurants near by. Hotel also have restaurants if you wish but also noted that it closes at 11pm so that people whom staying can rest without noise is plus. Now wish hotel fronts spoke better English should bring more customer but my girlfriend does speak Spanish so helped lots. Otherwise hotel were kept clean, had hot water, nice AC in room. If you are planning to be in Oaxaca, should try this hotel, cause location was best and near best restaurants in around town!

Not for tall people...No King, no Queen, barely a double bed...fail playing DISCO music through the restaurant so the rooms can hear....FAIL Not being given a WATER at 10pm and having to go out and BUY ONE....FAIL food is good, location is great

I will stay here every time I'm in Oaxaca. Clean, PERFECT LOCATION, nice staff from FO to Housekeeping and Restaurant.. everyone! Feels like at home, classic and authentic.

Casa Vertiz is on a quiet street while within walking distance to the wedding temple and market. The staff are very welcoming and attentive. In room coffee maker, daily cleaning and complimentary breakfast. You have to pay for airport transportation.

It might have been a nice hotel had there not been construction going on. That construction at times was so loud (for example, from drilling and demolition, which also caused small debris to fall all over the bathroom) that we literally could not hear other speak in our own room. I’ve lived in cities (New York, Bogotá, Washington DC) on busy streets with quite a lot of street noise, so a bit of noise does not usually bother me. But the noise level from the construction was not bearable. The construction also meant the nice upstairs sitting areas, which are in the photos of the hotel, were closed. The front desk people were very nice and seemed sympathetic about the noise, but the management was less concerned. We moved hotels since we simply could not relax. When we returned the keys, the front desk said they would reimburse us for the days we did not stay, but the management has not honored that claim.

Las instalaciones estan muy bien, el servicio super bien, muy limpia las instalciones, la refrigeracion del cuarto no estaba muy bien pero me cambiaron de cuarto lo bueno es que habia disponibilidad, las instalaciones estan en remodelacion y hay mucho ruido desde muy temprano y no me dijeron, si me hubieran dicho habria cambiado mi reservacion porque me gusta descansar y domir tarde pero no pude por el ruido.

Casa Vertiz it’s a nice and comfortable hotel. I appreciate very much thst the rooms have A/C. The rooms are a little small, but not too bad. We had an issue with the shower, but it was addressed

I want to thank Lic. Susana for being so understanding with my room accommodation. The hotel location is prefect for anyone visiting central city of Oaxaca located a few blocks from the Church of Santo Domingo. I personally enjoy the hotel restaurant food with such a beautiful patio sitting. It’s perfect for couples touring the city of Oaxaca. My room was very comfortable and clean. I highly recommended this little hotel gem. I’m coming back again soon with my wife.

The staff was available when needed and provided excellent service, including arranging for COVID test to done day prior to departing flight in our room.

Great location, quiet, clean rooms. Staff contacted me ahead of time and arranged airport transportation for me, which was very helpful. Offered airport transportation back to the airport as well. Liked the fact that they locked the main front door every night and there was a guard 24/7. Didn't feel like that was necessary since the neighborhood seemed safe, but glad to see that they take the security of their hotel seriously.

The service was amazing and very courteous. The hotel is close to everything and beautifully kept. Rooms is very clean and has an old elegant charm.
