Very nice room and exellent breakfast.

It was very nice. Amazing service, wonderful breakfast. We also enjoyed the spa which was great. If I should try to find anything that was not perfect, it was that we had a room that was at the far end of the hotel. This required us to walk a bit in the building, and take two elevators, to get to our room.

Stay was good. Room v warm and features old.

There was no water or drink service in the room. There was no kettle to boil water. There were almost no signs directing me to Spa and Fitness Club. It was in a very convenient location for sightseeing.

After one night of our four nigth stay we wondered the smell untill we found some piss under the matrise. They changed the sheet. Under our room was a pary going on for two nights. (Loud musik, screaming and broken glass.) First night I had to call the front desk.

The hotel is nice. The room was small but ok. The beds where a little hard. Service was very good. However we had someone opened our door early one morning without knocking before. And then did go away. Little scaring, but it was ok.

An absolutely wonderful stay at Clarion Hotel. Perfect location, lovely rooms and facilities. The staff are all very helpful and friendly.

This is a very nice and comfortable hotel easy walking distance to/from the ferry terminal with light luggage. It’s a great location for the botanical garden and many, many restaurants and shops. The hotel is down near the harbor and most of the restaurants are an uphill walk on beautiful cobblestone streets. The rooms are nicely appointed and seem to vary in size. I had a single room which was rather small but very nice. The bed was comfortable, I had a soft comfortable arm chair and and a desk with chair. There was a well stocked mini bar under the desk. There was a good armoire with a small safe inside and an iron and ironing board. I had a luggage rack and there were 3 hooks on the wall by the door. Bathroom had a shower with sliding doors, shampoo, conditioner and shower soap. Heated towel rack but too far from the shower, a hook would be nice beside the shower. Toilet was lovely with an old fashioned pull chain to flush, heated floor in bathroom. The spa changing rooms seem to a bit run down since I was here 3 years ago. The soap and shampoo dispensers were broken or missing and they only provided a smaller towel instead of a beach size towel that I remember from the last visit. The bar is a magnificent design! The breakfast buffet has a great selection but gets very crowded the last hour.

Nice hotel in very convenient location in old inside the city wall in old Visby. Room and bathrooms nice in general, but 1) thermostat has only warmer and colder settings not a specific temperature and not heat or cool so in certain situations difficult to set what you want 2) bulb was missing in one bedside lamp which was never replaced although I had tilted the housing so that is was clearly visible to cleaning staff 3) wooden counters in bathroom which were/are damaged by water of course 4) no phone in room so how to easily contact reception 5) reception had no cash so they could not break a large bill I got from an atm, so sadly no tip for room staff

Broken climate control waking you up every other hour. Extremely poor soundproofing meaning you can hear other guests several rooms away. Room had a weird musty smell.

The hotel needs upgrading and our room was very tired and a few repairs could have been done earlier. Otherwise the view from our room (318) was over the harbour and the staff were on the ball and great! Breakfast was a good buffet style.

Service was great and staff friendly. Room was spacious and functional but cleanliness was lacking somewhat. The drain in the shower was partially clogged since you ended up standing in a puddle after a while. I suspect there is a filter in the drain that needed changing. Not too fresh to be standing in a puddle of water such a filter is being soaked… Worst of all was the cleanliness of the hotel in general. There was trash and dirt all over the corridors and stair cases. In a dining room which we had to walk through in order to get to our room, there was a smashed glass on the floor which nobody attended to during the whole of our stay. Carpets in the corridors where visibly dirty with large stains here and there. Apparently they are understaffed on the cleaning side. Visited many Clarion hotels and must say that this one was a clear low due to the lack of cleanliness.

Breakfast is good also, and supa’s service staff is sympathique !

We had booked a suite for our anniversary & even notified the hotel about this beforehand & they email to informed they would do their best to do something nice for us. But we didn’t received any welcome at all during the whole stay. We were so disappointed when we checked in & got a very poor suite that was on the first floor next to an alley where you basically heard everything. The room itself was very old & ugly. Since there were no other suites available we were downgraded to a superior room on the top floor with a nice view but much smaller room. We had to ask them to remove 2 extra beds that were premade in the room. Also, we had to ask to get some money back since we got downgraded. Both rooms that we got were very far away from the reception & a bit of a hassle to get to. We didn’t get any help with the luggage either. The hotel felt pretty run down & dirty. The room was very dusty. Breakfast was next to a toilet that was pretty unclean. There was no soap in the toilet & we had to notify them. The location was great & the Staff were friendly & nice & did the best they could. The gym was horrible, so small & dirty. Also the hotel should inform that there should be max 3ppl in the gym & no kids allow. We had to leave the gym twice even though we got there first because it got so crowded & one lady even brought her kid! We’ve stayed at many clarion hotels but this one was the worst. We will most likely not recommend it nor come back.

Lovely hotel with a tasty breakfast very conveniently located. Quiet and elegant. Perfection!

The hotel has a great central location in Visby in historical buildings and we had a great view over the sea - BUT the hotel is clearly understaffed and the guests are suffering from this. When we checked in, they asked us if we needed cleaning during our 4 night stay - the obvious answer would be each day as default at a four star hotel. Anyway we settled with one cleaning in the middle of our stay. We soon discovered that the TV was not working, which we reported they day after, but they couldn't do anything as it was a weekend -but no compensations were suggested nor could we get another room of similar standard. On the cleaning day we put on the cleaning sign on the door and were out all day. When we came back nothing was cleaned. This was very disappointing as we beforehand had mentioned that cleaning was specifically needed due to allergy. We then complained massively and the staff was nice enough and also accommodated compensation at then end - again not as default - but after strong request. We then demanded a cleaning the next day -which happened, but only superficial, still very dusty. During our stay we heard several other people complaining about the lacking cleaning as well. Moreover, at breakfast information was lacking, sometimes we could sit outside, but that placed closed 1 hour before the other breakfast places. Several items were often lacking the and staff lacked to clean. The TV was never fixed... The owner needs to bring this hotel up to 4 stars.

Lovely stay in Visby!

Great location, great amenities with pool and sauna. Staff member John was excellent and very courteous. The sofa bed was very uncomfortable.
