The kids loved this hotel. It is very kid oriented and everyone super friendly. The rooms are large and the beds are comfortable. The hotel staff are fantastic. I can’t say enough about the front desk staff. The food was ok and they tried to accommodate intolerances. The reason that I rated it lower stars is for a few reasons. First, the area does not seem very family friendly. It’s convenient to the midi-station (EuroTrain) but the area was concerning. Closed down shops, graffiti, garbage and broken windows on adjacent properties. The elevator was broken and we got stuck in it for a bit. Lucky they had a second elevator. The sink in our room was plugged so the water would only slowly go down the drain.

The hotel has an interesting theme of different cartoons which we enjoyed and took photos of. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They did have parking in the garage, but it is limited to first come first serve. Overall, our stay here was great.

Yooma Urban Lodge is a great place to stay & staff is really caring. Breakfast is good & buffet also has good choices of food. The hotel location though is in a place where if u venture out you have to be careful with your belongings u carry. Neighborhood is bustling with lots of people. I did not face any issues but it could be daunting for some people. I did not mind the strong smell of paint from one of the rooms by the lobby being renovated but it might have put off some people. Garage space is super limited so if u are driving to the hotel, it must be reserved earlier as chances of getting to park in the garage is slim to none. We had to park 8 mins away and paid 44 euros for overnight parking whereas it costs only 30 euros to park in the hotel underground garage

Love the comics decorations. Employees were so welcoming and friendly also they speak a variety of languages. Extra services like sauna are awesome.

Fantastic staff and rooms, look past the shabby environment and it’s a gem.

This is the best hostel we’ve stayed in. A massive room giving lots of space for all the family, very close to the Eurostar terminal and fantastic staff. Can’t recommend highly enough.

We booked the family suite for 6 and it was amazing!! Walking up to the hotel from the train station sirens were blaring, there was garbage everywhere and I was dreading what the hotel would be like but it was like stepping into another world! You couldn't hear the street noise at all and the staff were super friendly. The hotel is a maze of cartoon walls, game and movie rooms, a quiet space and the best part, a hot buffet waiting for us on a rainy day! Our suite was HUGE with an awesome private terrace. The Chromecast on the TV was perfect. The kids were able to watch a movie while we were in the other room repacking suitcases and getting ourselves sorted. And last but not least, the beds are so comfortable!! It was the best sleep I've ever had in Europe. I highly recommend this place.

Fun hotel with friendly service - great for families. Buffet service for breakfast and dinner was brilliant.

Terrible service. I needed to reschedule due to a friend getting terribly sick with potential bowel cancer and they would not move the date of my booking. Totally inflexible and insensitive in response saying I could've booked a flexible rate. Would not recommend. Yes I could've booked a Flexi date but we didn't need to as you don't expect something like a potential cancer scare. Will not recommend or book again. Other hotel on our trip was booked the same way and allowed me to reschedule and now has me staying for a week as a result. Short sighted service.

Amazing property, very unique!

This hotel is a 5-7 min walk from the Brussels-Midi train station. It is unique hotel with a comic cartoon theme decor. Great for families with kids. We arrived early, but they have luggage storage lockers (~1 euro for 6 hours). Beside the lockers is a nice play room (which includes free arcade style games) and play-cubes/mats for kids to rest or play. Unfortunately the main elevator was not working for the duration we were there; however, there was a mini one that everyone was trying to use. The room was large; we got a room with a queen bed and twin bunk bed. The bathroom was nice/clean and even included a towel dryer (haven’t seen that in a while). Grand Place is about 2 stops on the metro, or ~20 min walk (Lemonnier station is the closest to the hotel). On the third floor they have a microwave and water cooler where you can fill sparkling or still water bottles (provided in the room). The room did not come with a fridge. The neighbourhood was quiet at night. There are a couple of restaurants beside the hotel if you want lunch or dinner. We got breakfast included which was decent; the only suggestion we would have is to perhaps have some alternative meat options (like turkey or chicken) and have them labelled. The rest of the pastries/eggs/fruits/ breads and drinks were really good. Guelly at the reception was amazing and extremely helpful when we asked for help.

The staff are very friendly and the hotel is clean and family friendly. We’re a family of 3 and had a YOOMA for 4 and had plenty of space. My son loved the bunk beds! The full bed was not comfortable as everything sunk inward. The room stayed very dark with blackout curtains but the windows are not soundproof so you can hear street noise and talking outside. We never ate there but the food smelled and looked amazing! The location is very walkable to the Midi train station (~8 min) and Grand Palace (~20 min). There is a bit of construction and a lot of closed store fronts on the walks to both the Palace and train station, so the area may feel somewhat sketchy but we felt safe.

Not a good area

The staff at food and breakfast were very rude and kept telling us that they will charge extra if we leave anything on the table. They also mentioned that food is halal and later we discovered that they were serving pork.

What a GEM! i thought it would be impossible to find a hotel for a family of 4 near the Brussels MIDI train station without booking two rooms, but YOOMA had space. Not just that, our room could sleep 6! it’s walking distance from the terminal. We got in after 9:00/21:00 and the staff was so kind and welcoming. Breakfast was pretty good. Location also 20min walk from sites like the Grand Place. The hotel is comic book and Smurf themed. So cute! we loved it! Nowhere to park if you have a car though.

What a fantastic hotel, I really enjoyed my stay here and I loved the comic strip theme. Our room was amazing, the bed was enormous, there was a bath! The staff were so good and we had a real laugh with the reception and bar people, the place is worth a visit for the staff alone! Everything is brand new, super clean and tidy, artwork everywhere, fantastic buffet meals and there are a few local bars well worth visiting. I can't emphasise enough how good this place was and I really hope to go back again someday.

If this hotel was in the centre of Brussels, it would be perfect. Well designed, with plenty of space for a family in the room, and lots of fun touches throughout the hotel, but the location is not great. It will probably be much nicer around there once all the building work is finished. The breakfast was fine, and there is a cinema room, a gaming room and a roof terrace which would be lovely if it’s ever sunny in Brussels! But the main appeal of the hotel is the delightful staff, who were all extremely friendly and helpful.

Great place for families to stay with easy access to the train station and Brussels city. There were a lot of amenities at the hotel, which were great when traveling with kids. And the room was nice and spacious. We all found the beds a bit uncomfortable and there wasn’t enough light in the room. But the service was too notch. I recommend!

Very good property with kids and lots of space comfortable beds. The only issue i think which is minor is lack of tea options and no fridge.
