It is a nice property and we have stayed there several times due to it's location. However, it is very annoying that they don't clearly post no children allowed in the hot tub under 12 without adult supervision. It seems like parents/grandparents think the pool and hot tub area are a day care drop off. This time I finally left and let the front desk know as I have in past stays. There were 5 children under 12 and another 3 little girls getting in around the age of 4. Not one adult. I did suggest maybe having an adult only time for an hour in the morning and an hour in the evening would be a great idea. It seems, like last time, when we had the same issue the management is afraid to enforce this vital safety rule. Hoping it won't turn into one of those hotel drowning issues we hear about occasionally for them to make changes.

Really enjoyed my stay at the Drury Inn & Suites in West Des Moines, IA. Have stayed here before as the staff goes out of their way to make all guests feel welcomed!

Great staff and despite lots of young kids being there for events and sports and lots of parents partying the place stayed very nice and staff made our stay great! Great front desk and also breakfast staff as it was a lot to handle with all the people

The young woman who checked me in was very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast and dinner were basic but good. My room was very comfortable and had a small fridge and microwave. I like the popcorn too.

One of the best hotels in West Des Moines. Great staff and breakfast. Rooms are always very clean and breakfast is always good. Plenty of restaurants, shopping, and entertainment within walking distance.

Both rooms we got were in great condition! We would have wanted a lobby area to play games but we ended up being able to do that in the dining area. Staff was very friendly!

From the moment we checked in the staff made us feel like taking care of us was their main priority. The pool closed at 10 but the manager let us stay up in the dining area with our family of 14. We don’t get to see one another often so the time spent together was exactly what we needed. The next morning a staff member also went out of her way to get juice for my son. Not because we asked her to, but because she saw he couldn’t find it on his own. I let her know how much that blessed this mom! Definitely made a life long return customer out of our family!

This is a beautiful hotel in a great location. The food was delicious (they go beyond continental breakfast -- they have dinner too!) This would have been a 5 plus stars from us, had it not been for the fact their pool was not operational when we came. We chose this spot FOR the pool, my daughter was SO disappointed. We paid $235 a night, and didn't get to swim and no discount for the unexpected inconvenience. Just disappointing.

We left our down pillow on room 604 last night. We will be stayin g there on our way back. Any chance it was found and we can pick it up

Check in very easy and friendly. had a wonderful maid on our floor. The breakfast and meal served in the evening was delicious.

This is a great value if you have young children or a large group and don't want to spend a bunch of money going out to eat this is the place for you! Basically you get a room breakfast, dinner and 3 free drinks for adults from 530 to 7 they also had free pop and popcorn. If you are not wanting to take advantage of the free food and are wanting a more relaxed atmosphere this probably isn't the place for you, this is an excellent choice for families I only wish I would have discovered it when my kids were much younger.

We absolutely loved our stay. The staff are very friendly. The dinner and breakfast was very good with lots of options. Enjoyed having the pop machine open at all times. Beds were comfy and even had a hand written note on it.
The pool was nice, enjoyed the outdoor pool with the 90° day.
Our friends room was not ready yet at 3:30pm, the staff offered her a $50 discount for the inconvenience. That is unheard of! We will definitely be checking out this hotel chain again.

Great hotel- loved the happy hour experience. Hotel was super clean, staff was very friendly.
Our only issue was the toilet: it never flushed properly. Staff brought up a plunger since maintenance had left for the night but that didn’t fix the issue so we just used our kids bathroom in the adjoining room.
