We have stayed here before - about 6 years ago - as although we are from the U.K., we have family in West Des Moines. The property is clean, friendly and our room was spacious.

Great location, close to many activities in the area and greater Des Moines. Beautiful property.

The open design and proximity to restaurants and shopping made it ideal for us. Hot water, hot breakfast made it even better! Plenty of sidewalk space to walk pets, 'poop bags' and receptacle made us feel welcome.
Ice machine in room didn't seem to be working, quick scan of floor didn't appear to have any ice machines. (small problem, probably use error;)

Sat morning at 0930 a drum ensemble stopped outside our window and DRUMMED FOR AN HOUR!! It was ALS walk, but seriously?!

Liked the separate bedroom and full kitchen. Staff was very helpful and friendly.
Would have liked a covered entry to be able to load up in the rain. Pool was a little on the cold side.

It was very good and the hostess on our stay was so friendly and kind. We enjoyed visiting with her each morning and she was so nice and friendly. The food was good, but could have been a bit hotter in the servers. We gave her six stars for hospitality.

The location is charming and the hotel is well maintained. I enjoyed the little lake and ability to walk to restaurants.

Rooms, staff, facilities were what we expected. I do have to say the sofa beds were not what was pictured. Three inch mattress, when the picture online shows one much nicer. That’s what kept me from giving a better review.

Hotel is in a nice location, with great landscaping around and pretty view. Loved the room set up!
Love the kitchenette, dining table, and desk! The breakfast in the morning was amazing and staff there is awesome!
The hotel is definitely showing signs of age. Caulking in bathroom was moldy, cracked tiles on the floor, toilet was old, loud, and backed up everytime we needed to flush (had to ask the front desk for a plunger...embarassing). I wish Marriott hotels would get different pillows....down and too soft...flatten out horrible.

No hot water. I had to checkout before it was resolved. I was promised a partial refund but they couldn't because it was booked through Booking.com

Location, good hot water, soaps in bathroom, kitchen had everything we needed
Construction noise, dirty common areas, lack of water in gym, bed was hard & uncomfortable, refrigerator was loud, room wasn't very sealed off from hallway light and noise....we have stayed at other Residence Inn & Suites that were SO much nicer/comfortable/cleaner.

The hotel in general was amazing! The pool was big and the breakfast was great! The service to us was amazing and the view was beautiful! And basically was great!
The only the was i saw the window of the pool dirty.
