The room was in poor condition with shoddy repairs. It is clear the hotel hasn't updated anything in 15 years. There were stains on the carpet and the walls were scuffed throughout. There wasn't a bar in the closet to hang clothes. The prices were marked up considerably ($400 a night) for a JMU event. For the price we paid, the room was unacceptable. Having said that, the receptionists at the front desk were pleasant and as helpful as possible considering the room's presentation. We cut our stay short due to the room's condition and the cost of the stay. We were refunded for the second night.

A bit outdated… furniture stains…. Sink not draining properly . Breakfast was blah. AC was great on 2nd floor and front desk was friendly.

We were pulling a U-Haul trailer. I was worried about parking and safety overnight as well as a comfortable bed to sleep. Everything was perfect.

The property was convenient to the main road way and to downtown of Harrisonburg by car.

Accidentally picked the wrong date, less than 24 hours later tried to change then cancel and was told no, selected non-refundable and was SOL.

I booked this room two days in advance of my arrival. After driving for 10 hours I arrived at 1am and was given the key to a dirty room that housekeeping never turned over. Their solution was to give us a room with no working shower after making us wait 40 minutes. By 2am I finally found another hotel in the area to stay at. Zero stars.

Property is old and needs complete updating*. Room was clean, but sparsely furnished compared to other Hampton Inns. Tv was maybe 24 inch, linens threadbare at best. Can’t get a bar of soap for the shower. No evening cookies offered. Very disappointed.

The check in was good. The ladies were very nice and explained all services. The breakfast gentleman was super nice. The check out person vanished and check out was difficult as there is no box to simply leave the room key in.
The hotel is clean but would need a refresh.

Rooms were old,chipped paint,electric receptacles difficult to find in room and not very many of them. Breakfast was just ok, no apparent management to keep on top of the changing out cold food for hot food. Juice machine was broke.

I was very disappointed with the breakfast. We waited for over 30 minutes during the continental breakfast, and there was not any hot items. It was very disorganized and a lot of unhappy people as the only thing available was cereal, yogurt or bagels.
In the room they provided large bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body wash. When I showered the conditioner and body wash was completely out. My parents who were in the room next to me informed me that they had the same experience.

Even though the hotel isn’t the newest in town, it is nicely updated, clean and in very good condition. The full breakfast was delicious every day. There was always fresh coffee in the lobby. The staff was very attentive to the requests we had… extra towels, tissue, etc. We’d stay here again!

While the employees were extremely kind and helpful and the building was in good repair, it just felt dated. Also the mattresses were extremely hard and uncomfortable and the room carpet needs to be replaced.

Only had housekeeping every other day, and then they only dumped the trash and replaced the towels; didn't make the bed. Ran out of some breakfast stuff almost every day

Shod did an excellent job checking us in. Regarding the rooms, the bathrooms and tv’s should be updated. Also, the bath towels are small and very rough…they should be replaced along with the sheets that were very worn. I would also recommend sample size shampoos, bath wash and conditioner as opposed to the refillable bottles which could be unsafe.

Adequate hotel for a stay on a road trip. Room was on the small side but comfortable enough. No soap in shower - not a big deal, but indicative that the property could’ve gone just a little bit further to make this stay better.

The staff was very friendly.

The only thing that was below average is the wear & tear on the rooms. Our room had several patched holes. Only spackling not painted over, walls scuffed & the bathroom sink cabinet had areas that the stain had worn off. The hotel is due for an update/refresh. Staff was very kind & helpful & the room was very clean. I would stay here again.
