Hotel OXO is in a central location in Biarritz. Its within walking distance of the beach, shops, and restaurants, and has plenty of places to eat nearby. The hotel is cute and boutique. Rooms are small and comfortable. The staff were fantastic! Every member of staff we dealt with was friendly and happy to help with any questions or requests we had.

Nice and friendly Staff

We stayed here for 2 nights in June 2014 and the hotel had more pros than cons. Pros: good location, walking distance to beach and close to variety of shops. Parking nearby at reasonable cost. Twin beds available, which was the main reason we selected this hotel. Cons: Bathroom layout, particularly the shower, was undesirable and small. Major com was sound of scooters & motorcycles outside in the evening/morning. Our room overlooked a parking area for scooters & they were pretty loud.

Had a very pleasant stay of three days. The hotel is a short walk from the main tourist part of the town. There are several places to eat close by catering too all tastes at very reasonable rates.

Great location close to the center, but away from all the fuzz and buzz. Its clean, classy and comfortable. That said, I didnt get much sleep, because it was loud. The walls/doors was definitely not sound proof.

Very nice hotel in a really good location within walking distance of the beach. Took 1A bus from the train station which dropped us a short distance from the hotel.Room was a bit small but very nicely decorated and very clean. Not air conditioned as we had thought but we did get a fan when we asked at reception. Outside communal terraced area which was very nice to relax in and escape from the hot summer sun. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. We paid for the buffet breakfast ( 8 euros) which was very nice. Bread, croissant, cereal fresh fruit, juice etc. All very fresh and a good start to the day. Would use this hotel again if we are lucky enough to return to Biarritz

A lovely friendly small hotel in Biarritz. Not the most expensive nor the cheapest but has all you need for a base in this great town. Beach and shops, cafes and restaurants are all at most 5 mins walk away. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. We would definitely stay at Hotel Oxo again.

We had a wonderful experience at the Hotel Oxo! We found it on a list of gay-friendly hotels in Biarritz, and definitely felt comfortable and warmly received there. The owners are helpful, accommodating, and warm. It felt a little like a bed and breakfast, as they are the ones who furnish breakfast in the morning. They gave us useful information about bus routes near the hotel, and how to get to nice beaches in the area. The bed we had was the most comfortable one we had in our entire stay in France. The decor is impeccable, very updated and trendy. Nothing but positive things to say about l'Hotel Oxo!

Perfect location; cozy and nice rooms; though breakfast could be better - croissant and 2 slices of bread for 8 EUR is a rip off.

The hotel staff who greeted us were very nice and friendly, doesn't happen often that there are genuinely friendly staff. The room was very nice and clean. Great location, would definitly stay there again.

Had a brief stop over in Biarritz before heading back to the States. The Oxo is a perfect location to access Biarritz by foot. The hotel staff is extremely helpful and accommodating. From everything from umbrellas to bags for a damp wetsuit. If you surf, they have a place to store your board. You can reach both breaks in town by foot. The hotel provides a nice breakfast buffet, however, if you are like me and want to experience the local flavor there are some great places under five minutes from the hotel. Viennoiserie is open early by 7:30am for pastry. Le Coupole Cafe for petit dejeuner. Los Dos Hermanos next to the hotel is also a great place to grab a Basque dinner. The bartender seems to be a bit of a local attraction. A true showman behind the bar. Communal tables, sangria, and very large portions. If you are solo, you might want to skip the appetizer. My one and only complaint at the hotel would be the bath products. At the end of a trip when you are running low, It would be nice to have a complete variety of product available... forgo the shoe shine brush for some conditioner. If you are a couple, ask about the room size. The room I stayed in was a double, but it would be small for a couple with luggage. The hotel is very clean and very functional. It's a great base for a few days. Location, service and all your basic comforts. A great value for a great little hotel! I would highly recommend the Oxo.

The room was just big enough for three people with its own balcony. The main drawback was there were no tea-making facilities. Breakfast was satisfactory.

The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms clean and modern. Great location, short walk to the beach and easy local bus for £1 from the airport.
