Tom and Rowena are gorgeous hosts in this beautiful place in Leith.
The breakfast options are aplenty, on top of a good small buffet of fruit, yoghurt and cold cuts.
Our room was comfortable, clean and homely. The only downside was the bathroom and toilet were kinda tiny so just take it into account if you need more space.
Would definitely stay again 10/10 recommend this to others - as it's within 3 minutes' walk of at least 3 different bus routes.

If the 14 days we traveled, this was our favorite place to stay. They let us check in early. We were given great explanations of the bus system and how to get around town. Also excellent dining recommendations. Breakfast was exceptional and varied. Our bed was comfortable and supportive. Everything was clean and beautifully kept. The garden is magnificent. Tom and Rowena the hosts are lovely people who really care about service . Highly recommend this for travelers. There are many stairs so if you have mobility issues, it will be challenging, but worth it.

Sheridan Guest is a hidden gem! We felt so comfortable and welcomed—truly a home away from home! Everything was spotless, the breakfast was outstanding and the bus into the city was conveniently located across the street.
If I could rate it more than 5 stars, I would. Wonderful place to end our 2 week vacation.

We only stayed one night but would have loved to stay longer. We were warmly welcomed by our hosts, given helpful information when requested, taken to our room which was perfect, enjoyed a good nights sleep followed by a lovely breakfast. We couldn’t have asked for more.

Had such a beautiful stay at the Sheridan Guest House over the weekend. Both Tom and Rowena went above and beyond for me and my boyfriend. Such a cosy, warm and welcoming house. We will definitely be back again! P.S. the breakfast was lovely.

We were greeted with a friendly, helpful and efficient welcome. The room was very clean and adequate for our needs, the ensuite was a little small but adequate. There was plenty of choice for breakfast and all cooked to perfection. The homemade bread was lovely.

Excellent value for money, situated 20 mins walk to Leith and 40 mins walk to centre of town, bus stop directly outside of property. Hosts very accomodating to our needs, room spacious and comfortable, excellent choice of breakfast options. Will stay again.

A very enjoyable stay. Nothing was too much trouble for our friendly hosts Tom and Rowena who were able to advise us on the best places to visit and eat etc. We had everything we needed in our clean and comfortable room Breakfasts were great and our veggie diet was catered for handsomely. The property is on a frequent bus route into the city with a bus stop conveniently just over the road. We will definitely stay again if we return to Edinburgh.

I would recommend the Sheridan Guest House without hesitation to everyone looking for accommodation in this part of the city. My husband and I stayed at the guesthouse for 5 days while visiting Edinburgh and were very happy with all aspects of our stay. Tom and Rowena are wonderful.

What a lovely place to stay. The owners are amazing! My room was on the second floor in the front of the home and was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic. The owners will assist with transportation option, recommendations for places to do and see, and are interesting to talk to. I highly recommend staying here.

This is a lovely home away from home. The amenities in the room are top notch no lie! It is less than 2 miles to Waverly Station and is easily accessible by bus #7, #11, and #14 where bus stops are literally a few steps from the residence. Botanical Garden is a walking distance and Leith is just a hop away. Breakfast is made to order daily where Rowena does her magic in the kitchen. Breads, cookies, and Jams are homemade and are divine!
Tom and Rowena made our stay in Edinburgh extra special and will not hesitate to stay with them again.

My sister and I stayed for two nights at Sheridan Guest House and the whole experience was a delight. Tom and Rowena are excellent hosts. The tastefully decorated room was spacious and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was wonderful with Rowenas homemade bread and jams. Very convenient location for buses into city centre. Wouldnt hesitate to recommend to anyone visiting Edinburgh.

The food was the best out of the three B&Bs we stayed in on our recent trip to Scotland. The cleanliness was outstanding. The bathroom in both of our rooms were very small and my room was really only good for one person, but this is a two hundred year old terrace home. It’s a little off the beaten track and is most definately a 10/15 minute bus ride to the centre of the old city of Edinburgh. There is really nothing in the neighbourhood you have to walk 20/30 minutes or take a bus to do anything. But it’s really very nice.

No parking except on street two blocks away. Small room. Tiny bathroom; most RV campers have bigger. Tiny shower. Location not convenient to anything. Only redeeming factor was decent breakfast. Find a place closer to city center.
