Beautiful hotel in the heart of Budapest. Lots of shops, restaurants, and historical sites within walking distance. Room was very comfortable and quiet Breakfast buffet was very good with a lot of options. Lobby is very bright and spacious and staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful

The staff here were wonderful and went out of their way to be helpful when we had problems with our electronic current coverter

The hotel was in a convenient location and the staff were nice and helpful. The parking situation was not ideal, paid parking everywhere and not cheap. There was a burnt smell on our floor that never went away. But we enjoyed the breakfast and other amenities. The rooms were average, the sink was awkward, took up a lot of space in the bathroom with no place for toiletries. Shower floor was slick with no bathtub mat for safety, and a big bulky drain right in the middle that was also inconvenient and dangerous. Overall it got our needs met, but just ok.

Excellent air conditioning. I could control the temperature myself and the AC was quite powerful.

Room was ok . Air conditioning could not cope with the heat. 35 C outside. Room was about 30 C. They moved us to a different room but it made no difference. My wife went to reception at night and demanded a freestanding fan, which was later delivered. This made it just bearable. So don’t expect comfortable nights if there is a heatwave. The breakfast was great and reasonably priced.

With the temperatures in 90’s F , the AC in my room didn’t work well. The room was super hot and didn’t go below 88 F. The staff basically threw up their hands and said “it is what it is”. No effort to even get me a fan. Very poor service. Location is great but I wouldn’t stay at this place for a million $!!

This is an Excellent Hotel situated ideally close to all transit hubs, as well as restaurants And points of interest most are interested in visiting in this beautiful city, in addition the staff is exceptional and the morning breakfast was phenomenal, after two months of cycling and touring Italy, parts of France and Switzerland, the Zenit Budapest shined For both the breakfast and the dinner menus… I especially enjoy having access to a tub… I will come back and stay there again on my next trip to Budapest!!! Thank you so much for making my day so enjoyable and accessible… And if you want to be budgeted, you can take the 100 E bus from the airport close by to the hotel…

The hotel is a very good choice when you're at Budapest. Location is very central to the main attractions and transportations. Hotel/ rooms are clean and has that aesthetic feel. The people are really nice and helpful too. Will definitely stay again.

Rooms are small but adequate. Too bad the HUGE Marriott has blocked all views and even sunshine right across the street

The Zenit allowed us to check in at 9:30 am; we stayed 3 nights. We were on the barebones 4th floor “attic”. Room 414 had attic sloped ceilings and a dormer window. Our problems were: 1. Following thermostat instructions, it was impossible to lower the temp from 25.50 C on arrival, After 9 hours the temp was 28.5, and lowered to 27.1 once we opened the window. 2. We locked the safe in the morning with passports etc. but were unable to open it that evening at 6:30 pm. Display was blank and no power. 3. The room telephone didn’t work (a safety issue!) requiring us to go downstairs twice to get the issues resolved. 4. We were told the maintenance person and Manager had left for the day and was not accessible by phone, and hence we could not open safe until tomorrow morning! Staff came to our room, tried unsuccessfully all the things we did. Another receptionist arrived with a screwdriver, removed a screw off the door of safe and manually opened the safe; we never trusted the safe again. He didn’t try to fix the phone; probably it was a systemic issue. No luck with the thermostat! My husband asked for a new room, swiftly granted. Room 314 had the look and feel of a 4 star hotel. Everything worked, had two large windows with curtains and the hallway had windows and red marble floor. After that our stay was pleasant and no other room issues. Evening staff left a letter of apology and chocolates. The buffet breakfast was excellent - very plentiful, very good.

Our 3rd stay at the Zenit. A really lovely hotel in a great location. Great breakfast too.

Overall ok. The only negative was that Two days in a row the fire alarm took us out of our room. False alarm, they explain that “the bakery next door was spreading flour and made the alarm go off”…at 9PM Very friendly and helpful front desk personnel
