Coming from Canada to Philippines for the 1st time, was expecting a dive for the price charged... I was pleasantly surprised

This place was probably one of the worst hotels i’ve stayed at. I’ve been to a lot of places all over the globe, but this was by far THE WORST!!! The staff was unbelievably cunty with me, asking for my itinerary when she had it pulled up on the computer already like she didn’t believe me when i was there the night prior. Charged me 2250 pisos for a late check out? when i never requested a late check out??? also refused to take my cards said cash only, i’m pretty sure it’s just a bunch of scam artists working just like the rest of this godforsaken island, sad to see a holiday in like this.

I am disappointed with my stay at Empire Suites Hotel. The hotel is dirty and rundown. Area is dumpy and smelly. They advertise terraces, but the rooms don’t have them. When I asked the Front Desk to change to a room with a terrace, he confirmed there were none. He justified their website by claiming that the restaurant has a terrace.

• very affordable
• friendly and helpful staff
• easy to get tuktuk (local taxi/bikes) from outside the entrance

• aircon doesn’t work very well
• Walls are paper thin
• There was a window at the top of the wall in the room, when I stood on the bed to see what was outside i found that it looked straight into someone else’s room… very strange.
Overall, for the price, I’d say that it was pretty good, and was fine for the 1 night we booked, but i wouldn’t want to stay here for too many nights.

Staff are friendly and attentive. Able to provide you with what you need. Just ask for it. This hotel is family oriented. Just walking distance to restaurant or fast food chain including malls like NCCC for shopping or grocery. If you want a quiet night, this is not a place for you. Hotel stay includes continental breakfast or buffett. They never run out of rice or bread. If you like toasted/salted fish, this is a place for you. During my stay, I lost my Fendi watch, but when I checked out and gone out of the door, somebody found my watch and returned it to me. So that was a great sense of relief.

THIS HOTEL IS LOCATION NEAR BIG DANCE CLUB. BECAUSE TOO NOISE UNTIL NIGHT. AND AIRCONDITIONAL IS NOT WORKING WELL.

I would recommend this hotel to my friends..check in is nice they give you a mango juice while checking in...and thats great when u travelling all day ..the room are clean...quite and the staff are nice and helpfull also the security guard are friendly i would diffinetely booked this hotel next time again..

Walking distance to some of the nice restaurants.
If u like to drink, that's a bar just opposite the hotel.
Room is decend.
However, breakfast need to improve. I tried the breakfast the first day, but it was bad, and 2nd day I had my breakfast outside.

My Second visit in the course of one calendar year. Great place to stay when in Puerto Princessa. Convenient, close to shopping and restaurants. A great price for a comfortable stay with a hotel centrally located.

It was my first time to travel alone for a scientific conference. I don't know much about Puerto Princesa but their staff are all friendly and accommodating which makes me comfortable despite being alone in the main island. It provides the necessary stuff for grooming, the only down side was the internet connection and signal reception.

I grew up with my parents working in the hotel until they retire. Empire Suites is definitely not to be considered a hotel but just like an inn. But I think, inns are even way better than them. They’re giving false advertising. They’re the worst hotel I ever stayed in so far.

My senior citizen discount wasn’t applied in my restaurant bill. The staff in Front Desk who’s name is Gen, wasn’t helpful & flexible to apply it herself during check-out. Not very helpful.I also asked for a bottle of water before checking out & I was turned down.Won’t stay in this hotel the next time I go back to Puerto Princesa soon.

A superb value if booked through Hotels.com...saved me 25$ every night. Good breakfast. Great staff, especially Tristan and Make at the front desk Located in the heart of Puerto Princesa, can walk to most things./.

Everything is perfect the staff are friendly and helpful room are clean and spacious going to bars and restaurants are just a minute walk so i would definitely recommend this hotel
