Beautiful property in the hills outside Verona. Modern rooms with all the amenities. They produce high quality wine. Nice restaurant and given the location best to eat there rather than travel at night.

Beautiful property but make sure you make restaurant reservation before you arrive. Sold out so we could not eat dinner there. Beautiful infinity pool looking out towards views of Verona. Free welcome drink. We were in Mimosa room 3 min walk down the road behind electronic gates felt very old world and lovely two bedroom with good air conditioning. Enjoyed private living room downstairs so it felt like a whole house. Big Italian tiled bathroom with cute built in seat in shower was so clean. Free breakfast in the morning. Beautiful gardens with lots of loungers to relax. Drove 8 mins downhill and found self serve laundromat to wash and dry our clothes in 1.5 hours.

We spent 4 weeks travelling Europe with two children (9&12) and this was our favourite stay.
The rooms are comfortable. The facilities are great and the location and view amazing.
The pool area serviced by a bar for drinks and snacks was the highlight. The kids loved playing with the resident dog. The restaurant was lovely and I highly recommend the wine tasting tour. We wish we had stayed longer.

Beautiful, lovely property. I would suggest however that description of room include that there are a couple of steps into the room and to the bathroom from bedroom area for those with limited mobility.

Very kind staff and very accommodating. It was nice to be able to have dinner at the restaurant (hotels are allowed to have dinner for guests right now). Bed was on the firmer side but not bad. About a ten minute drive into downtown Verona. Great view from the restaurant. The view from our room wasn’t too great, a roof and some trees were sort of in the way. Overall positive experience!

The Corte San Mattia is located about 15 minutes outside of Verona in the hills. The views from the property are stunning and you are surround by fig trees and olive orchards. We stayed in the annex which is in a renovated facility about a 3 minute walk from the main property. We had an nice apartment with two good sized bedrooms and a large bathroom. There was a shared living room downstairs but we did not use it as we were only there for one night. We had a lovely breakfast outside on their beautiful terrace. The staff was helpful. We were there in the summer of 2020 and the hotel did a good job of dealing with all the pandemic regulations. We would definitely go back.

It was absolutely stunning. The staff were exceptionally helpful and the food and wine was amazing! Loved the chickens and garden on site. We would recommend this place to anyone and plan to come back in the future.

This is definitely one of the best places I have ever stayed at so far. My first step, I already decided that I’m coming back here. That decision was seconded by the receptionist’s (regretfully forgotten to ask his name) warm welcome, friendliness, and for going above and beyond. Like he said, he is pretty good at his job, and I could not agree more.
The place itself was just beautiful and romantic. The atmosphere so relaxing. The breakfast was one of the best I’ve ever had. The dinner was superb. The people were just amazing.
Like every thing, there’s always a room for improvement, but this place is just close to perfection. The only thing I thought of that they could have had were slippers. The floors were cold during winter.
Otherwise, I’m already planning my next trip again and to stay longer.

We were only in need of a place to stay over night, but were positively surprised by the lovely place. The room was beautyful with a fantastic view over the city.
Only reaching the place by car was not so easy, as following the navigator we ended up on very narrow and dead-end streets.

Excellent staff, good breakfast and dinner. Excellent value. Very relaxing. The stairs to the third bedroom in the apartment were quite steep and the stair treads quite narrow.

2 bedroom apartment was great for family of 4. Views stunning, and the grounds were really nice. Marco stood out as a great representative for the hotel - very kind and helpful. The rest of the staff, not so much.A couple of improvements required - better description of facilities upon check-in and walk through of room/apartment would have taken car of this. Wifi did not work during the stay, despite advising staff on two separate occasions - although Gabriella (sp.?) did apologize upon check out and offered complimentary bottle of wine. Restaurant staff were rude and disinterested - food was sub-par. A pool would be a great addition to the facilities. This place could be awesome, but we left feeling underwhelmed.

Beautiful view 15 minutes from downtown Verona. Great complimentary breakfast. The front desk staff were very helpful. They make a great Amarine wine. Very reasonable rates and clean rooms. Rooms was simple but the bed was comfortable.

Loved it! It's only 2 km from Verona but in itself surrounded by vineyards. The view is absolutely breathtaking. The staff was nice and we really enjoyed the wine tasting + tour of the vineyard the hotel organized. Aircon worked wonderfully, beds were comfortable and the food in the restaurant was delicious. The only minor set back was that for some strange reason during breakfast the first morning (on the terrace) someone (assumably a staff member) was sawing or drilling something in the garage right next to the terrace where we were eating breakfast. The noise was deafening and it wasn't a great start for the morning. Thankfully this only happened once.

Was really looking forward to this hotel, as previous guests have given good ratings, and the website photos looked enticing. Here's my take: Hotel is quite far from downtown Verona (which we knew) however way too far to walk - and the taxi fare over a few days really added up - and on our last day we had to wail for over an hour for a taxi to come up the hill, because they had a convention in town, almost missing our paid-for train. The room was very tacky in decor, and while spacious did not feel homey nor comfortable in ambience. They allow pets in the rooms, and we had to put up with some yapping from the dog next to our room. Also the back patio which opens up from the room - was not cleaned after some pet's bathroom break, and we could seem worms in the dirt (YUCK !). On the plus side, the staff was friendly, welcoming and informative. The food and wine served was good, if a bit on the pricey side!

San Mattia is a fantastic place for anyone to spend their vacation time. The views are amazing, the food was perfect, and the wine tasting experience was fun! I've already suggested it as a destination for friends!
