NEGATIVES: Too expensive for what was provided. Room decor very dated. Bathroom had no surface area (shelf?) for toiletries. Bed uncomfortable. No substantial lighting at night to utilize peep hole. Would not return unless room rate significantly reduced. Screaming children in lakes just outside door. Walls paper thin. Not handicap friendly. POSITIVES: Good location. Pleasant staff. Refrigerator. Convenient parking.

The back door of our room opened into the patio right by the lake. Nice view of the sunset from the patio! We also enjoyed using the kayaks a couple of times during our stay. They have coffee and scones for breakfast, which was fine for us, but could have a few more options.

I can't evaluate this hotel because I could not make it as scheduled. The plan for the person I was to visit in the hospital changed and we did not make the 4 hour trip. The policy is "no cancellations" so I knew I was losing my money. Several days before i had called to be certain they were "pet friendly" as it says on the website, but you can't get through to a phone or real person. Everything has to go through Expedia and good luck with that. Customer service should be a goal here. Everyone got their money from this and it wasn't me.

The lodge is rustic looking and as we got a couple inches of snow which since we are not used to having cars covered the people in the office showed our driver how to do it as he wanted to do it himself My room was decorated with song birds and all the rooms had different themes

Great stay!

Very clean and quaint setting on the lake. A great playground and available paddle boats for guests. Cute pastries and fruit offered in the morning as well as locally sourced coffee. Loved the friendly staff and the clean, convenient property. The kitchenette and provided cookware and dishware was an excellent bonus.

The Lodge furnishings were Lovely, and the surroundings were extraordinary! We stayed for 3 nights and had our pick of canoes and boats…. It was windy, but we took advantage of the great chairs and docks and decks, and had a marvelous time~. Both Cathy and Missy, who gave us our amazing scones and oranges, along with really pleasant conversations, were so helpful and fun and kind! We also had nice conversations with Shawn, the owner and Austin, who works most evenings! We had a Terrific experience!!

That it was on the lake and had a nice deck from which to look at the water.

Off the beaten path, yet close to everything. Freshly remodeled cabins with private entrances and walk out to dock and lake. Kayaks, canoes, SUP’s, paddle boats, and BBQ grills onsite. Friendly staff. Bonfire pit with free pre cut wood. Bikes would be the only other thing this place needs! Loved our stay!

We had a lovely stay over the Christmas holiday. The staff was friendly and the room was clean and inviting. Looking forward to a summer stay!

This was a last minute decision for us. We really did not know what to expect when we got there. The lodge is extremely pet/dog friendly and the facility was actually nicer than what it appeared in the pictures. The owners seem to be doing a significant amount of work to update and maintain the property. The staff was friendly and responsive. Free use of any of the numerous gas grills, kayaks, canoes, paddle boats, fire pit. We have a very good weekend. The rooms seemed to be recently remodeled and in beautiful shape. The beds were comfortable as well. Our room had a kitchenette, which made it very nice for preparing meals throughout the weekend.

The Lakeview was beautiful, However for the price of the room and the quality of it was not worth the cost the staff was good however again you guys need to upgrade your rooms a crate and wrong and the bad sucked

Really enjoyed our songbird themed room which was a welcomed surprise. Comfortable bedding with plenty of pillows. Delicious coffee and complimentary scones from a local bakery in the morning. The views and lake access would have been ideal had it not been cold and rainy. All staff were very friendly and accomodating.

This is a lovely getaway. The lake is right out your door, they provide free water toys to play with, grills, and a fire pit. Much more relaxed than some other northern getaways and still lots to do.

Pet friendly

Loved the pet friendly rooms and environment. The staff was so accommodating and nice. I love that you can use any non powered boats or paddle boards for free and the lake views were amazing. I wish the swimming area was easier to get in and out of and that there was a shore to access instead of rocks or a dock. Overall very nice and will definitely stay there again with my dogs and recommend anyone else with dogs to do the same.

Loved the view of the lake looking right out the front window.... so very peaceful!

Was there just at the transtion from winter to summer so there was no snow but the lake was still iced, so there was not much to do except hike, and that could get a bit mushy. Nonetheless it was most pleasant.
