And have booked again

The shower was hanging off the wall within the shower cubicle, the window would not shut properly, so there was noise and coldness from outside resulting in a poor sleep. Would not recommend this "hotel" to anyone.

Not a good hotel at all , carpets where thread bare and stained , we should of had breakfast but it was never mentioned at all , came back to the hotel at 11:30pm to find a random man bedding down for the night in the bar , staff unhelpful as we asked about transport to the Utilita arena and they didn’t even know what it was never mind how to get there and it was only 3 mile away, my partner asked for a glass of wine when we got there and was given a very dirty glass , they had off street parking but you have to drive up a kerb to get in it and our car is low to the ground so we had to park on the road , would definitely not go back

Just over 30 mins walk from bullring shopping mall. Staff very welcoming and so helpful, thank you for all your help.

The interior has seen much better days and staff treated guest as if they were an inconvenience. The bathroom had more chip tiles than non chipped ones. The room melt, carpet was dirty, chair threadbare, shower was very dirty, it was lucky that I brought anti-bacteria wipes. Each day my room key didn't work and I had to join the que to get it resolved. Often there were no staff around and customers of the pub, who had previously worked there tried to help, but I still couldn't get in my room.
3.2
Rooms were in a separate building which was ok. Main building was a pub mostly aimed at football fans at the local city club. Bathroom would have been adequate but bad finish, loose skirting, loose shower plumbing and stuck shower door was below acceptable. Breakfast was cancelled. No kitchen due to fault. Poor area.

The property definitely was not as it looked on the photo for the page. The car park does not have a dropped kerb so it's not clear that its accessible. I was told on arrival that there was no breakfast and that they couldn't refund me then, I'd have to go through the booking app. I got into the room and found the TV didn't work - thankfully I was going out for the evening. The shower in the room was definitely not installed for a larger person! It was a tight squeeze. There a few other things but I was just so tired that I just wanted to sleep. Won't be heading back here again I'm afraid.

Don’t go after the picture on the website as they’ve been taken probably years ago when it has been renovated. It’s dirty, noisy and the area looks creepy. The car park…well you have a sport car then you better call the garage before you go in there. Won’t go back.

It was really enjoyable and the shopping was easy

Arrived as a mid stop stay amd stayed 20 minutes max room was filthy took video of dirty there was stains in toilet on walls, carpets, marks on walls headboard, dust on windows. We left saying we cannot stay because of how filthy it was, i recived a call from mangeress this morning amd the voicmail she left included insults amd was vile, we called her back and was met with rude, vile comments and terrible custoner service amd spoke down to me and my partner, we passed phone to my partners mother amd the mangeress was so rude amd ended up cutting call off.
3.2
Rooms are very dated and need a whole update
Carpets are disgusting and stained
Shower had a rusty sticking out handle and broken door
Came for a two night stay and went home after one night
The best thing was the breakfast and the lovely Irish lady that served it well done to her

Booked for 2 nights and left after 1. We ordered food at night and when we went downstairs all main access areas were locked with shutters. There was a phone number for the night porter for “access”. Rang the number to awaken the night porter asleep on a bench in the bar who was immediately short tempered and aggressive. He continued to get closer to us, spitting on my friend when shouting and pointing aggressively. Acting as if we were to know when we had never been to this hotel before he pointed to a little corridor behind the bar which we were not informed as the “front door” on arrival. As 2 young girls we felt extremely unsafe when met with this response to 1 simple question of “how do we get out” to a night porter who’s job it was to help with access as displayed on the sign. Night porter continued to huff and mutter things under his breath. We couldn’t get back to our room and lock the door quick enough. As for the room itself, bed linen was not at all clean - multiple marks and did not smell as if it had been cleaned. My friend woke up in the morning with itchiness and bites on her legs. The shower door was broken and fell on both of us when showering. Generally very run down - paint chipping and peeling on walls and ceilings, damp marks etc. As we were in the city for a surgery we thought it best to leave as it was 1. Not safe and 2. Not hygienic, especially with one of us more vulnerable after having surgery. Car park is tiny and doesn’t have a drop curb.

Photos on the website are very deceiving. Needed 3 door cards due to them not working. Room was filthy, walls needed a good clean, carpet was stained l, bedding on one bed had spots of blood on. Got locked out at 12am due to the door card not working.
The building needs some TLC. The member of staff was helpful when we arrived.

The shower temperature kept cold and not hot, unable to relax.Next to the Hotel, the place seems developing and all the soils and seems so dirty.

Good

Not as nice as we expected. The photos were misleading.
3.2
The bedlinen, bathroom and towels were clean but attention needs to cleanliness of the room ie paintwork, door frames and skirting board. Requires updating!!

It was amazing visit and all the staff were very friendly specially Celia and Helen are spot on .they very helpful and friendly.
They made my stay better .

Great place (may be different on a match night) quiet, clean with friendly staff.

Stayed for three nights with my family while we attended an event at the NEC. The hotel is not in the nicest area but it was well lit on the streets around and we didn’t feel unsafe.
The hotel itself is old and shabby but generally okay. The staff were all lovely and helpful and the lady that did breakfast couldn’t have been nicer.
The beds were a little too firm for my taste but that’s personal preference. The rooms could do with refreshing and the biggest improvement would be in adding blackout blinds or curtains as there is street lighting right outside the rooms and the curtains did very little to minimise the light coming in.
Finally, something feasted on my husband on the first night leaving him with several red itchy bites, although when we checked the beds thoroughly the next night we couldn’t see anything concerning.
On the whole, for the money, it was an acceptable stay.
3.2
Staff was great. Room was ok part from walk shower the floor was lifting up like bubbles water was not hot. The single bed was falling apart. And crumbs on the side where you make coffee
3.2
Overall the room is good, but is not bright enough. There is no ceiling light, only 2 wall lights, and one of it is not working. We wait for the whole day, but no one to change the bulb.
3.2
Worth for the money..clean and neat room and bathroom.
3.2
I couldn't find a microwave to warm my food. There was no fridge in the room and no telephone to communicate the staff. Above all the environment looks unkept and desolate.
Inside the rooms were moderately ok but the open entrance and the corridor leading
to the rooms were all untidy. The carpet inside the room was very very dirty and old.
To worsen the whole situation, I requested for my breakfast which I paid for and was told they don't offer breakfasts, so how do I generally my refund for the breakfast not served.
3.2
Room was clean and tidy. The new model shower head ran hot water quickly. The room was not bright enough, with only two table lamps, and one of it was not working.
I booked a room with breakfast but was told breakfast not to be provided because the kitchen was under repair. I am unhappy because when I booked the room, breakfast should not be shown for me to choose. The receptionist told me to get refund from hotel.com. I don't think I can get the refund because I booked the room using a reward night.
3.2
The property is nice but has a pub inbuilt and bathroom shower cubicle is too small
3.2
Nothing good 👎
3.2
Disapointed with the hotel, only good thing was the bed was ok and the breakfast too. Needs a good update, is more of a bar with rooms upstairs than a hotel of 3 stars… nothing like the pictures
3.2
Good stay
3.2
The noise was annoying. The staff were very helpful. There was only a tiny bin in the bathroom. The bed could do with a freed sheet. As the one used rides up too easily

I went there but didnt stay. It wasnt suitable for me.

First impressions were not good. No one available to check in. Room was good size but needed a deep clean and walls, doors etc needed redecorating and greasy, unwashed smell greeted us. Bathroom toilet and shower looked clean but rest of it was very dirty and noisy fan going all night. Bathroom door did not close properly or have any lock. Window did not shut and had inch gap blowing wind and noise through it which we had to stuff with towel. No main light fitted so room was dark. No fire safety notices on door and flimsy lock that did not feel secure. Never any staff around even when we reported window, no apology just said couldn’t move us. Very unhelpful and unapproachable. Car park underneath had no ramp so was unsuitable for our car, so we had to park in the street. Very noisy lewd regulars in bar Saturday night made the lounge unusable for us. Ordered just 2 drinks from the bar which they got wrong and was just given a small bottle of wine without even a glass! We were so glad we did not order breakfast as would not have wanted to eat anything from there due to grease, dust & dirt everywhere downstairs. On the plus side, upstairs our room 11 was not as bad as expected from the downstairs and was of a good size and place was easy to find and had a lift although that too had seen better days. Beds were clean and comfy with feather pillows. Although cheap I would have at least expected room to be clean if basic! Would not stay here ever again or recommend to anyone.
3.2
Duvet was dirty and the duvet cover exposed the duvet, lighting in the bedroom was poor and absurd, bathroom tap was full of toothpaste stains, shower so small I struggled to get in and out of it, lift not going to 2nd floor to my bedroom
