The check in process was nice. The gentleman came with us and showed us everything in our room. The units could use some updating and some renovations. The stay was good though.

The stay was great and everything except when it came time to checkout the owner went to check our room before giving our deposit back, and he comes back and accuses us of smoking in the room, we both do not smoke, and i made that clear, seemed like he was trying to find a reason to keep the deposit. So careful if giving a deposit

The roof was for short people kept on hitting my head ~ unsafe! TV didn’t work and all furniture is very dated! AC only in one room and the owner isn’t very friendly.

Very basic. The aircon had not been turned on and was not in the bed area and so it took a lot of time for the room to cool down. No room for bedside tables for glasses or cpap machine or plugin. Expensive for what you got.

I didn't stay here, but wanted to give a positive shout-out to the owners for how well they handled my situation. I made a last minute reservation so Hope was closest I could find with availability on the long 4th of July holiday weekend. Tried to escape the fireworks that traumatized the small dog I was sitting for traveling friends. Not anticipating this, I had no documentation for her vaccinations, so was turned back at the US-Canada border. Called Swiss Chalet and they were very understanding and did not charge me a first night's stay even though they had my card info and could have. I don’t know what actual accommodations are like, but when you are treated this well without paying anything, it says a lot for the integrity and quality of the people running the place.

You get what you pay for. Dont expect luxurious for the price

I booked my stay and when i arrived they told me they doble booked. They set us up in the red roof motel accross the road. Terrible room that had many issues including sloped floors, 5'5"shower head you had to squat to use. The room stunk and needed a good deep cleaning and mintenance. Shhets felt like plastic. For my first experience using hotels.com I honestly would problably never use it again. Nor will i ever stay at the Swiss Chalets. I do not recommend the red roof motel. I think I'd rather have slept in the car.

Easy access off Main highway but Noisy and very limited amenities ... None 1 cup of ice every hour limitation ...really cup of ice owner has $100. Ice machine pathetic in 30c summer days.Cheap room ... Sign says Seniors Discount. Asked how much answer $10 per night pathetic..

We stayed here for 1 night as we were just passing through but loved it. We arrived a little late but greeted by staff snd showed to our foom which was perfect. The room was a little dated but clean and in good repair wpuld definitely stay here agian

After booking through Expedia and checking in we had the owner knock on our door and tell us it was going to cost us an additional $13 that we could not get the Expedia deal because they charged a commission. I’m confused!!

It’s an older property, but definitely satisfactory. Very convenient to have two bedrooms as we didn’t need two separate rooms (thus saving money). Plenty of things to do around the area. I’d definitely consider staying again.

The room was dirty. The mattress was terrible. Under the mattress pad that was too small also was not clean. Would not recommend to anyone.

We stayed for one night during a driving trip. The biildings are 80 years old (a paper in the office showed that they opened originally in 1934) and while it has been updated since, it is in need of another refresh. The room was clean but very, very basic. Mold spots above the tub area. A banquette in the living room area had no seat cushions. The door was very difficult to open (you can only open it with the key and I felt I might twist the key in half trying to open the door). The bed was comfortable. If you are looking at just a basic accommodation for a night at a low price this property does exactly that. Do not expect any frills - and that includes that there was only 1/3 of a roll of toilet tissue in the bathroom.

Old and dated but clean and safe

Find another option. Walls in room were filthy and so was most everything else.

I booked for 2 queen beds and they gave me two full sized beds

very small room(#26) some lights did not function, washroom towel rack falling off, was reasonably clean. no tissues provided, and only one roll of toilet paper. parking was good. bed was just ok with terrible pillows. needs updating. pet friendly.

The key they left to the room didn’t work! We were left stranded.

We liked that it was individual cottages and that the grounds were very well kept. The interiors of the cottages could have been updated.
