The hotels are costly, and I've stayed in a Santa Barbara Hostel before. It was an excellent stay! (No one was in my room that night; therefore, I used my CPAP.)

I’ve stayed at this hostel many many times over the years and it is still fantastic! super clean, really friendly staff nice atmosphere. you get a free breakfast, it’s Nothing fancy but it does the trick. I’ve never had an issue staying here. I highly recommended it! My only Disappointment in my last stay after paying for 3 nights I needed to put my bags in storage for less than two hours, and they wanted to charge me for that.

I really enjoyed the stay in your hostel. Its very close to the pier and only a few minutes to the puplic transportation. The rooms are clean and there are also a lot of separate rooms, where you can stay (porch, libary, tv room)

Don’t remember the last time I climbed into the top bunk. I’m not the social butterfly, so I mainly stayed to my room or the library. I will consider staying here again the next time

Didn’t spend too much time there but it was clean and just a fun place to be with other fellow travelers. Definitely recommend if you just need somewhere to sleep for a few days.

Danius was an excellent host as he made me feel welcomed on a rainy day in Miami. I was short $13 dollars on my security deposit upon check-in and he made the executive decision to go above & beyond to get me checked in. I really appreciate his help with it being my first time at the establishment. I would definitely recommend to friends and stay here again. It's a friendly atmosphere.

Gated parking lot make you feel safe. Many shops are located nearby . The room is clean and modern. However, A/C can be upgraded

I had such a good time. The hostel is in a very good neighborhood. A lot of eateries, shops and really close to the beach. The people who work there made me feel so welcome.
Beautifully decorated. The bed was very comfy and showers and toilets were very clean. The breakfast was what I needed. Very simple but with a lot of choices.
I definitely will be back and recommend to my friends.

Very nice property in a safe and beautiful location. I was initially concerned about safety, but its in a well patrolled area and its close to the beautiful Santa Monica beach

All the staff were helpful and knowledgeable on the area. This place hosted a comedy night while I was there, and I believe they do other events, which is a nice included benefit.

Bathroom cleaning maintenance at 9-11 am was unrealistic. But overall it's a good stay with great restaurants and the Santa Monica pier nearby

I did not like staff asking guests to wash after themselves. Many guests did not follow this rule!

My first time staying at a hostel and was traveling alone. The staff was very helpful and I felt very safe staying here and everyone was very nice that I met. Free Breakfast was an unexpected nice bonus. Would definitely stay again if I were in Santa Monica.

The stay at the Hostel was amazing, there are many people from all over the world, literally a min walk to the beach, the beds was so comfortable, the kitchen was crazy big, and the fireplace was beautiful, I will book this place again.

All in all, this was a good little hostel in LA. Very quiet and comfortable with everything a typical backpacker would look for. It's not an overly social hostel, but there's perks to that as well (i.e. quiet and safe etc.). It's in an awesome location in Santa Monica on the beach and right near all the good shopping and food spots. Reviews are always very subjective, but I've stayed in loads of hostels around the world and this one was decent (although quite expensive for what it is, but that's just LA as I'm beginning to understand...).
