Beautiful views, beautiful rooms, great restaurant and bar, but same food next day not the same in components and taste.

The location had an amazing view and was very well appointed and decorated. There was plenty of parking. The room had everything you needed and was comfortable. We will definitely come back and look forward to it.

The idea of having this motel and restaurant was a dream and every effort has clearly been made to bring this dream to reality. The town of Louisburg is struggling but North Star Suites is a diamond, especially for anyone visiting Fortress Louisburg which is in sight from the waterside rooms. The restaurant is also really top notch. We hated to leave.

This is the best property in Louisbourg!

We had travelled to the Maritimes from Alberta for a 2 week vacation and stayed overnight at the North Star Suites after our visit to the Fortress. Our room was non oceanview. It was beautifully renovated and decorated. It was so bright and airy and spacious! We had dinner at The Bothy. The lobster Mac and cheese was delicious and The Bothy is a cozy welcoming restaurant . Service was exceptional! We had to leave early the next morning to get back to Halifax due to the impending Hurricane Lee so did not have an opportunity to sample their breakfast menu. Colin and Justin have done an amazing job with the renovation. Stay at this Inn if you are in the area. You will not be disappointed!

We happened upon this gem of a property by chance! It was so welcoming and worth every penny. The room was spacious and bed very comfy. Staff made our stay feel special!! The best bonus was our close location to the water. We did not have the chance to explore the town at all but make sure you find the Cabot Trail scenic drive!!

Our room was very comfortable, spacious and nicely decorated. The staff were wonderful; friendly and attentive. We ate at both restaurants and the food was very good. We look forward to staying at the North Star again.

It was a beautiful property. It was more like a beautiful house than an inn or hotel. The owners are very hands on and take the time to chat with you. Staff are great also.

This was by far the best place we stayed on our trip to the Maritimes. The suite was spacious and well appointed. The restaurant was fantastic. We hope to stay next time we go to Cape Breton.

Amazing stay, we will definitely return, food is delicious. The view from our room was incredible.Each staff member made sure we were always looked after. I miss the east coast hospitality already.

This place is 5 star all the way from the first moment you enter the reception area and Julie greets you with her friendly manner and lovely smile . We were in apt # 17 the cheery driftwood decorations the comfortable bed There was a heat pump for a/c but there were 6 large windows that actually opened and the smell of the sea and the gentle breeze blowing in the room lead to a very restful sleep. Then to the Bothy Restaurant that was so welcoming to the friendly staff And of course the smiles and attention to every detail from Colin and Justin .The food was amazing I recommend the seafood paradelle and the blueberry grunt for dessert .I forget the name of the young man who was the musical entertainment that night but the music was great and we sang along .I felt like I was partying at a friends house .I could go on and on but I highly recommend North Beach suites and The Bothy restaurant you will not be disappointed

We stayed in suite 14, ground level. One of the octagonal rooms. Really nice room. Effective use of the space. Great bed. Staff is unbelievably friendly. Very helpful. Our weather wasn’t the best. Which was expected. The beach just below the hotel is good for picking rocks. Maybe swimming? I would like to see electrical outlets/charging points for BOTH sides of the bed. We use our devices for everything these days. The restaurant menu is fabulous. I highly recommend the chowder. Looking forward to a future stay.

Big room with great room design and amenities. In non-ocean view, unable to get room dark due to yard lights overpowering white wooden shutters. Fan in bathroom very noisy. Noise from other rooms is easily heard. Would stay again but recommend you book ocean side and bring ear plugs to get a good night sleep.
