Small but very comfortable. Owner was very pleasant. Gave us info on the local restaurants. The only thing i would change is a king size bed option. Would definitely stay here again if we were ever in the area.

The room was clean and bed was comfortable. There is a small courtyard area with some chairs that looked inviting. Checking/checkout was simple. I appreciated the step-back-in-time Motor Hotel feel to the property and would recommend it.

Loved my stay! Will definitely return. Quite, no bugs, no odd smells. I Go to Norfolk 2X per year for one week each. First place with daily housekeeping service in 4 years. Beautiful renovations to the room. The small details like a hand soap dispenser and ice tray made it cozy. Best shower water pressure ever.

The host was excellent and friendly, the location was fantastic - one block from the bay shoreline, so a beach run was easy. The shared central outdoor area looked cozy and the small vegetable garden added a nice touch.

Updated room. Spacious for two. Need to clean tile floor in bathroom a bit better, dirt build up. Quiet and otherwise clean. Easy check in even at 11pm. Cute courtyard. Would stay again.

The gentleman at the front desk greeted me promptly upon arrival and was friendly, pleasant, & attentive. Both check-in and check-out was quick & easy. The property is quaint, clean, well-maintained, & located in a quiet neighborhood convenient to our relatives' house nearby. The shower in our room was great, lots of flow & plenty of hot water. Wi-Fi and TV was good. Parking was a bit tight though for our full-sized pick-up truck, but was doable. And, the queen bed was a bit small for us (we're used to our full-king at home) but comfortable. We'll definitely stay here again when we visit the area.

This hotel is our go to when we visit the Norfolk & Hampton area. It’s clean, quiet, convenient, and affordable! We will continue to patronize this establishment……

Very budget friendly motel to stay in. Owner was very nice and cares about his property and the people staying in it. Their dog that greets you makes the location feel very homely, would definitely stay again.

2 minute walk to beach, quiet area.

A little gem in Ocean View. I needed something simple for a quick overnight between OBX and Philadelphia and the Bay Inn in Ocean View is perfect. close to the Bay Bridge Tunnel. I love supporting local business, and this was no different. The owners are annually making renovations to bring property details up-to-date, like the beautifully finished bathrooms. One block to the beach.

The Bay Inn is a wonderful place to stay for a budget traveller. Cozy beds, rooms feel both compact but are still homely. A short walk to the Atlantic coast and in walking distance of shops and restaurants

This is our second time visiting this motel. We’ve come each time just outside of “peak” season and it’s been perfect for us. Last time we brought my child. This trip was just me and my spouse. The property feels safe even though the surrounding area is a little less than ideal. It’s right across from excellent beach access and a very nice coastal community. The property has quite a few cameras in the parking area too which is great! A couple of suggestions from this visit: something needs to happen with the bed frames—they’re noisy even when you just get up off the bed. They pop and creak loudly with normal movement and it’s disconcerting. The water pressure in the showers might be the best I’ve ever experienced at a hotel—but it also means water can escape the shower rather easily so maybe heavier shower curtains? I feel like that would help avoid water spilling out and causing damage to the hollow core bathroom doors. Overall, the property improvements have held up and the courtyard is a nice touch for a calming place to visit and when not at the beach. I would recommend this place and we will come back.

I do like the cleanliness , but they need to fixed the bathroom door it didn’t close . And latch at the front door was broken. They need to fixed it for the safety of the guest.Although the owner of the property telling us it’s safety once it’s inside . But still I’m a little bit nervous especially now a days . A lot of crime happening. It’s better to be safe than sorry at the end .

It's close to the beach, walkable. Nice, clean room, with nice bathrooms and everything you need in a room. No frills. The price is amazing for a relaxing vacation. Nice courtyard to enjoy evenings.
