A few teething problems but all sorted staff were nice and helpful.

The friendly and helpful staff ensured I had a comfortable stay, the room was chilly one night, as the heating didn't work and the staff supplied a heater immediately, the shower was rather small but suited me fine, overall I got a good deal on the room and have no complaints, the hotel is clean & cosy.

My stay is based on a last minute £44 booking - value for money was 100%
All staff were very friendly and pleasant.
Room was clean and basic.
My only negative was being a man over 6 foot it was almost impossible to use the toilet or shower. Unsure if all the en suites are that small, we had room 137.
You have to sit on the toilet at an angle!
Im sure would be fine for those 5"5 and under.
Id book again for the same price.

The hotel needs a little TLC but the staff more than make up for that . Kim and her team give the hotel a fantastic, professional, efficient but more importantly a great welcoming family feel. Seldom have we been treated to such kindness and frienship. We cannot recomend this hotel enough. Kim, ian, sarah, laura , acacia, francis charley thankyou so much, see you all soon, good luck in all you do.

Staff were friendly and very helpful, lovely sea view from room but room could have been better everything looked half finished needed a bit of TLC and lift was not working. Dinning room was beautiful and the whole hotel was clean. We didn’t pay a lot for hotel so really couldn’t complain would stay again but in different room.

Upon arriving we were greeted by a lovely & very helpful receptionist, we enquired if there was a seaview room, which he organised for us. When we got to said room we found a hole in the bathroom door, electric socket had been smashed off the wall, door closer has been pulled out of the wall & sweet wrappers & sweets on the carpet.
We headed back to reception to inform them, a different receptionist was there, who was equally helpful, offered to move us, as she only knew about the hole in the door!! She asked me to send the photos I took via email to her. We said we'd stay in the room as long as we wouldn't be blamed. As were only staying overnight. Beds were comfortable, seaview was lovely, shower was nice & hot, Tea tray was well stock, the room was quiet for being on the seafront. Downstairs looked lovely but we didn't eat or drink so can't comment. The lift was broken

Lift was out of order had to carry luggage up and down the stairs, breakfast was average ,sausage was tasteless. Room was very warm, but luckily had a fantastic, curtain hanging off rail. Come back to room and couldn't get in as they changed the key lock to card swipe doors. Had to walk back downstairs to get keycard. Overall I would of gave the hotel 9 out of 10, if the lift worked,if the breakfast was tastier and you didn't have to pay for parking in the hotel carpark. So overall I have to give it 4 out of 10

Hotel cancelled the day of check-in. No one has been helpful for a refund. It left my father and his wife scrambling for alternative accommodation, without any help from hotels.com nor the hotel. When is the refund going to be paid?

Hotel was dirty outside with bird poo everywhere, dead plants with cigarette butts in the soil.
Checking in was fine and efficient but the lift was tight and compact, walking to our room we noticed the floorboards squeaking a lot.
Walking into our room we noticed the carpet was discoloured and had food bits on it, the leather seats were peeling, soap dispenser was hanging off the wall, tv was about 14 inches and aerial didn’t work for most of the stay, shower basin would fill up and empty very slowly, with every flush of the toilet it was like somebody was using a numatic drill it was that loud, mattress was bouncy and sloped on one side, curtains were dusty and window was full of seagull poo, on the rooftop outside our window there were wires and seagull poo galore plus wild plants growing.
We had no housekeeping for the 5 nights we were at the hotel, no new bed sheets, no towels, no cleaning of the rooms and emptying of the bins whatsoever, room looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years.
Told manager about this and she said to email her about it and I did and have heard nothing in response yet.
Do not stay here at this hotel, spend a bit extra and go to a small b&b as this hotel is too large to keep clean and tidy.

The hotel looked a bit shabby outside but staff and inside was good. The room was clean but very hot. The small air blower was useless and noisy. And the people next door keot slamming the door.

Lovely hotel looking a little tired and in need of repair but didn't affect our stay. Room clean and comfortable.
Staff lovely and all doing their best.
Would stay again

All the staff were great.
I would stay again.

We stayed for 5 days and 4 nights.
Whilst the reception and bar area was pleasant, the room and upstairs decor is in need of serious attention. Bathroom was extremely small and fixtures outdated and scruffy.
The cleaning service was very patchy. From other responses to reviews a refurb is already underway.

Not the most friendly of reception staff, when i arrived they wanted mo to pay on arrival?, i had allready paid Hotels.com so spent over a hour trying to sort that mess out only for reception staff to say i might have to pay twice!!. Phoned hotels.com and they kindly sorted the Hotel mix up out. The reception and the restaurant and the bar area is a lovely modern taste but unfortunately thats where it ends. I can only review our room as obviously not seen other's but our room is so outdated, the paint is flacking off the walls the bedroom celling looked like it was going to collapse at any time, the windows had all blown restricting viewing, the shower was extremely poor plenty of hot wster just not enough of it. The bed was comfy no complaints there. Woukd ivstsy here again? Yes i would but it would have to be at a good price.

Perfect location right on the sea front near to all the shops etc. The room we had was unfortunately very dated in need of re-vamping and the corridor leading to it had a damp smell. The bed was comfortable and we had 2 windows which were great during the heatwave. We had tea and coffee naking facilities in the room but the tray was not replenished every day .Towels were provided and replaced daily which was nice. The shower was grim and not suitable should an elderly couple stay in this particular room due to the height of the base.I would stay here again as i know the hotel is in the process of upgrading the rooms and for us it was just a base at night due to being an active couple out all day.

Mattress in first room was poor. Changed room better mattress. En suite was adequate but shelf over WHB too low. Kept banging my head wham having a wash. Staff were all friendly and polite. Outside of hotel was shabby in places.

Roon was ok but the shower was awful because no hot water and the pressure wasn't there for a nice shower

The room was small but ok, went to the restaurant 3 minutes late where two people were sat waiting to order, was told that it wasn’t much left from the menu to order so didn’t bother. On The breakfast, it was a girl on her own. Bless her, ahe was on her own dealing with everyone

Staff were very friendly and helpful. For an old hotel, the rooms were quirky. They were redecorating and improving parts. Breakfast was to a good standard and the staff efficient an friendly. Very satisfied

Looked forward to this trip away just me and my mrs, night away without our child. We checked in to get given the keys , we opened the door to our room and it looked like a prison cell , small bed old carpets and bathroom looked like it’s from the 1960s. I went down to complain about it and they gave us another room which was meant to be an “upgraded” room , we opened the door and it was a little better , beds uncomfortable hardly slept all night. Didn’t use the shower in the morning as it looked vile. Breakfast in the morning is £10 and I wouldn’t bother , had 3 pain au chocolate out and they was rock hard. Your better off going to premier inn for the same price as it’s a lot better. The tables in the room you eat in are really close together and feels like your in an old peoples home. They haven’t even got the Decency to give you proper sauces , it was the cheap stuff in packets. Overall I am very disappointed in the stay we had. The tv had no signal , also not the hotels fault but very loud people shouted through the hall way and banging doors all night. All in all I will not be staying here again considering a premier inn is the same price well it was on the day , rooms look nothing like the photos online.

We were very disappointed with the room, the website showed lovely airy well decorated rooms but we were given what amounted to a broom cupboard with a bed the toilet only flushed when it felt like it. I phoned the property a week before we were due there asking for a ground floor room because we have mobility problems and we ended up on the first floor lucky they had a lift. We definitely won't be staying there again

The box room room allocated to us (No 12) was seriously ditched, the walls, the door frames, ceiling, the shower room awful, we checked out after one night of a booked three night stay, no refund on the £297 paid, the receptionist Hayley apologised for the condition of the hotel and stated that they were due for an upgrade soon! It’s years overdue.

Really horrible, the building hasn't been changed for the last 30 years at least, the staff are great but it's truly the worst hotel I've ever stayed in, the owning company (Coast and country) are trying to get as much money as possible for a terrible hotel, I'm going to write to trading standards because the prices in no way reflect the stay, we were relieved to get out of there, don't waste money staying at this hotel, its miserable, staff are great though

The hotel looked extremely drab from the outside and was of a similar calibre inside. Receptionist was pleasant. Disappointed to have to pay £6 to park our car overnight. Room was dull and had lots of marks on the walls. Bed was fairly comfortable but the duvet cover was stained. The corridors and carpets were very tatty.Breakfast staff were very welcoming and pleasant. Breakfast was good and the dining room was more pleasant than the rest of the hotel. Hotel is in a good location and the beach nearby.

Booked a standard room which did not correspond with the advertising pictures. The room was very much in disrepair and was not at all of any standard of clean. For £130 per night + £6 parking; I'd have thought the stay would have been good value. Given the pandemic, I'd have thought the cleanliness would be top priority. Dull grey walls, floor to ceiling - chipped and marked, crumbling. Poor facilities, bathroom not matching and discoloured. Bathroom window opened no more than an inch. No plug sockets near the bed for charging ect. Fan very dirty, heater too. Old blankets in wardrobe and a very old hair dryer - granted it works. Very unclean, pictures to follow... Stained curtains, mouldy bathroom, black plug, stained carpet, thick dust, stained towel (only thing that was resolved - replaced), brick dust on skirting boards, raised flooring from leaks, dirty toilet brush. Despite mentioning it to the receptionist when asking for a replacement towel, there was no effort to resolve our concerns. Her response was that its good that we was sending an email as we're not the only ones with complaints. On a positive, complements to the breakfast chef, very friendly.

Not the best , when we parked up we realised you had to pay for parking which I hadn’t spotted in the description it is there but you have to search for it I saw self parking and assumed it was free .Then when entered the room the wall round the light switches was very grubby and the bathroom was nothing like the ones shown in the pictures in advert hey show nice spacious bathroom ours was so small the sink was over the end of the toilet very disappointing. But the staff were cheerful.
