Very traditional older hotel in a good location. Small room which was very warm with not much floor space at all didn’t make for great comfort or much sleep. Owner very friendly and good breakfast

Great location, right on the river, and plenty of parking available, and within easy walking distance of the town centre. The owner and staff were polite and helpful.

Good straight forward hotel near to the town centre and with good views

Booked two nights at this appart hotel. We booked for three people however when we got there the accommodation was only for two people. The third person had to sleep on a “Canapé” which was totally inadequate for sleeping. You normally expect at least a sofa bed. The hotel also provided us with only one pod for the coffee machine making you ask why do they bother at all. I would go somewhere else next time.

My boyfriend and I stayed just for one night but it was really nice, to start the staff was very friendly. The room was just perfect for one night, small but clean and cozy. I totally recommend it.

Wonderful welcome. The member of staff was brilliant- respectful of me trying to use French. Room was spacious with lovely river views. Small balcony. Fan provided welcome relief from the heat. Bathroom perfectly good. The star of the show was the wonderful meal. A limited choice on a set menu but each course was cooked to perfection. Staff (same one) continued to be helpful and friendly. Location was also good. Short walk past the church to bars/restaurants/shops - however would definitely recommend eating at the hotel.

I had a super room overlooking the river. The hotel is a short walk from shops and restaurants. The staff were very helpful and very pleasant.

Good location overlooking the Loire. We had room with a lovely view. Small but ok for 2 people. Bathroom fine Nice people on check in desk. Easy parking opposite.

Overnight stop on the way back to Cherbourg from the Dordogne. Friendly staff and good clean rooms, (room with a river view chosen). Good location with free overnight parking in the street outside/adjacent.

Very narrow stairs up to our room. I wish we had picked a river view (extra charge) as it would have been lovely. You cannot see the river otherwise. We did not choose breakfast as it seemed pricey and it was a short walk along the river to town. Parking available right across the street. No air conditioning and limited plug ins for the short cord on the fan (provided)

Fantastic position, right on the Loire, with an amazing selection of restaurants just a couple of roads back. Easy parking. John on reception (and running the cosy bar) was as friendly as can be. Good breakfast with a nice basket of bread and pastries. Only downside was that our room was stuffy as we couldn't open the window due to the road noise, (we could have chosen a back room without a view and had the fresh air I guess. But .... the view was so nice it would have been a shame.) Small room but well-equipped, tea and coffee tray, little table and chairs to sit and enjoy the view. If/when we visit Saumur again, we will definitely stay here.

Very helpful staff. Excellent situation and free parking nearby. Room was small and no view at all but clean and everything worked well. Very convenient for central Saumur.

The hotel is quite far from the city center but it was clean and good value for money

The hotel is ideally located to explore Saumur and the surrounding area. The rooms are clean, tidy and ours had a wonderful view across the Loire. With no tea or coffee making facilities in the room our stay of 4 days proved a challenge! The weather was cool, even so you need the windows open as there is no air conditioning. With the hotel on the main road, this means you hear all the road noise. Not so bad in the evening, however at 5 in the morning and the local lorries getting the early drops sorted it acted as an alarm call. This is a stop over hotel and not somewhere wed aim to book for longer breaks.
