The facilities and breakfast were great and staff and was lovely. They had a storage room for luggage when I checked in early that was nice. Only issue was getting from the train to the hostel with luggage. There's a target large hill you have to walk up. Other than that it was a great stay!

Bare bones hostel, decent breakfast provided. Bring your own towel and 2fr coin for locker use.

The breakfast was good. It was quite annoying, after traveling all day, to get to the hostel and to have to make the bed. Most hostels make the bed for you, so this was unexpected.

Stayed for one night and it was exactly what you’d expect from a hostel. Would definitely recommend booking a room with a private bathroom.

First time staying at a hostel and I enjoyed it. Facilities we clean and great location easy to get around in Zurich

DO NOT STAY HERE. I was greeted by two drug addicts at the footsteps who pushed me away when trying to enter the building. I had to squeeze through the door as they would not get out of the way to let me through. When I got into the hostel itself I was horrified, maybe two bathrooms for 30 or more people and trash littered all around. I entered the building and left within an hour to another hostel. I know it’s cheap, but I cannot stress this enough, do NOT stay here, it is worth the money for a different place.

Friendly staff and helpful

I love this place as it is very clean and staff are very friendly. Will definitely stay here again when im back to Zurich

It was clean but during our stay many tenets were there and did not observe quiet time. It was past midnight and teens were still running, yelling, banging the doors and I have to go to front desk to report this matter.0

Perfect hostel for a family of 4. Sink in room, shared bathrooms were clean and modern. Service was friendly and helpful! Better than a 3 star hotel in the USA.

Plug didn’t work in the room. Towel an extra cost check in very busy. But for Zurich still a good deal

Its called youth hostel, however it was only old people in my room, a couple, and two men, one of them were 75 and slept naked. As a female 21-year old solo traveler i did not feel safe in my room. Overall the hostel is clean, and food is pretty good, but look at ages and times for checkin before putting people in rooms, or simply change your name, Since there were no youth

Lovely friendly staff and dinner is great value for money! Comfy bed and fine shower. Cool chill area. Tip: tram 7 goes to and from this property from Zurich main station, unless you want to spend your holiday budget very fast on a taxi this is your best option!

Great place!

Check in at 15 noon. No towels, shampoo, soap. And above all COMMON toilet and bathroom. Breakfast composed only of 3 choices: ham, salami and servelat. They have cereals, jam and yougart, coffee and tea. But Danile very accomodating and helpfull. Take the trikk number 7 to the main street

The hostel felt like I was stepping into the 80s. It really needs a refurbishment

Overall wasnt happy with my stay for a number of reasons, but there was one member of staff who couldnt have helped me more. I didn't catch her name but the blonde lady is a pleasure.

Excellent staff and place!

I have a couple things to say about my stay at Youth Hostel Zurich. Overall was a good experience, but a couple things a didn’t like much, like: - in the showers there’s no ventilation. It’s already a small space, would be good to have a bit of ventilation. Also, no mat on the floor or given. A bit disgusting to use your own towel that by the way you have to pay for it. - The breakfast provided is excellent, but I was a bit annoyed that in order for me to have coffee I would have to pay. Usually, at hostels they always have complimentary coffee and tea. But I have to say that the place is convenient, close to the station, clean, and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful.

Cheap price that i can stay. Buffet breakfast is good. Less than 10’ walk from tram station. Recommend if you have small budget to stay in Zurich

Really enjoyed my stay at this hostel. I had stayed at another hostel in the city center which was so bad that I had to leave. Youth Hostel is 15 min with the tram outside the center and located in a quiet area. It is a really big hostel - I stayed in a 4 person room which was very spacious for hostel standards. I liked the layout and the beds. Also nice that showers and toilets were separate from the room, which makes it more quiet. Breakfast was included in the price and was honestly very good for hostel standards. Staff was friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

GOOD LOCATION. EASY TRANSPORT CONNECTIVITY TO CENTRAL STATION. TRAM NO. 7 DIRECTLY GOES TO CENTRAL STATION. BIG GROCERY STORE ON WALKING DISTANCE. GOOD EATING OPTIONS NEARBY. FRIENDLY AND COOPERATIVE STAFF.

The staff was very helpful with explaining how to get around using the trains, trams, and buses. The hostel was clean, and everybody was very nice.

A great hostel and exceeded our expectations. We received breakfast the following morning and it was great. The rooms and bathrooms were clean. And the staff were very nice. Train station and shopping centre are both in walking distance.
