What sets this apart from the others is the outstanding staff and the amazing food. The staff are really knowledgeable about the local area and made our two days in Kandy totally worth our while. They also went above and beyond during our stay whenever we needed anything, regardless of rhe request. The chefs at this place are insane. The food that was presented was so creative and made the meals so inviting to eat. The taste of the food eclipses the presentation as well which really makes it a match made in heaven. Throw in the pool, spa and sauna and you really have all you could ask for Would highly recommend to anyone as it is well worth the money!

We had such a wonderful time at Theva residency. I have stayed all over the world and the combination of beautiful surroundings, food, luxury, and service made this perhaps my favorite hotel I’ve ever stayed at. It is modern, has a breathtaking view, the rooms are unique, beautiful and luxurious. And the people are the best. Russell’s staff spent every minute of every day working to keep us delighted. I can’t imagine a better hotel in this country. Also, the best restaurant in the province and one of the best in the country is basically your private kitchen.

The manager Abhay is a total diamond. Made us feel so welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Food was delicious and the views are insane! Room was cool too and overall a very pleasant stay. Good amenities and nice spot to explore Kandy as is 10 mins from temple

Incredible restaurant patio and pool area. The manager was extremely helpful, went out of his way to arrange us last-second transport to the train station. Location is both advantage and disadvantage depending what you’re looking for. Somewhat removed above the town.

The property has a stunning location on a hilltop overlooking lush green hills. The infinity pool is breathtakingly situated. Staff are extremely helpful and willing to please.

It was a great three day stay. Unfortunately, there was a mix up on the last day with transportation that the hotel had arranged. We ended up in a car with a driver who didn't know where they were going and didn't speak English. This left us with a sour experience with Theva. Plus, certain details weren't shared with us at check in, like that breakfast was included. Overall, good stay, great food, just need to follow through on things.

The view from this property is fantastic and the food is surprisingly good - although Western not Sri Lankan. The staff are very friendly and do their best to make your stay as good as possible. The photos make this property probably look a little swankier than it actually is but for a couple of nights it’s perfectly fine.

Everything is perfect, they have candles for the bath, an incredible restaurant, amazing views and above and beyond service. We had breakfast included in the room rate and on our last day when we had to leave early the manager suggested that we ask the kitchen for a To go box breakfast the night before which was so sweet. They also are hanged a driver for us for the day to take us around the local sites, the rate they charged us was about the same as offers we had gotten in town from various drivers and much cheaper then online rates. Our drive/guide was amazing and helped suggest points of interest since we didn’t know the area very well. We hope to spend more time here, it’s a really special place.

Check in was hassle free and service was good throughout the stay. We found the rooms a little on the basic side but we did just pay for a standard room. The view from the room however was fantastic. We only stayed one night for which it was fine.

A great short stay at the Theva Residency Kandy, Sri Lanka. The staff at this hotel were super accommodating and made the stay stress free and pleasurable. The staff ensured that our every need was looked after.

The rooms are spacious , immaculate and very comfortable, the service is impeccable. We were in the superior suite which had a jacuzzi overlooking the countryside commend all staff for their excellent service and contribution to our enjoyment. The breakfast was lovely and the infinity pool views were breathtaking. We would highly recommend this hotel.

This was one of the best stays I have ever had in a hotel. the Staff is extremely helpful and down to earth. They were always available to make us enjoy our stay. the hotel is located in a quiet area with stellar views. Thew restaurant is amazing and the food is extremely delicious. No wonder why the restaurant is among the best restaurants in Kandy. the hotel amenities are excellent and the pool has an amazing layout and it has great views over the mountain. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a unique experience in Sri Lanka.

We had a very pleasant stay at the Theva Kandy. On the day we reached Kandy, a curfew was imposed due to some issues and as such we were confined to the hotel. We got to meet the staff and use the hotel more than we would have if we could go out sightseeing. The hotel has many recreational facilities including a well maintained small pool with beautiful views. And for someone with a family, this could be the place to stay. The staff was very friendly and caring. We are vegetarians and even though the menu had only a few options, the chef was quite innovative and came up with more options for us. The place is clean, comfortable and a good value for money. We would definitely recommend it. Thank you Theva for your excellent hospitality. We would love to come back some day.
