The hotel is in the middle of the centre, right next to the beautiful Sint Martinus Kerk and the Rheingarten, while also within walking distance of the Kölner Dom. I had a single person room, but i was really suprised by the size of the room. The bed was a twin bed (even though the blanket was not), and the bathroom was also a decent size (even though the door and the shower were smaller than average). the little French balcony was a nice suprise as well. There is, however, no lift in the building. While this wasn't an issue for me, it might be difficult if you have mobility issues or a lot of heavier luggage, so that's something to take into account

A great location if you want to feel the energy of Koln. The room was small but efficient and the shape of the windows -let you look outside - to see the world go by... The room had a solid breakfast - that you could even enjoy outside. The one challenge is that it does not have air-conditioning- it did have a fan - which made a huge difference but I would not stay here again in the summer. I would stay here again - in fall, winter or spring.

Nice little hotel, but if you are not an Olympic athlete avoid the rooms on 5th floor. There’s no lift and they are apartments with another flight of stairs

There is very small hall for guests and no appropriate place to keep laguage for some time. The stairs could be too difficult for elder people.

The hotel is very well placed for the centre, the main issue with the hotel is no aircon in the rooms, just a cheap table fan. Very noisy due to the location so windows kept closed. My fan motor burnt out the first night and had to be replaced with a much larger and noisier one from the kitchen.

I sleep with ear plugs, so it wasn't an issue for me. Another potential issue, the hotel doesn't have an elevator. That may be a problem for some. Overall, a nice hotel in a great location!

For a location that's so close to Heumarkt, you'd never know it. My room on the 4th floor was quiet, comfortable and I even got a sliver of a view of the Rhine from the balcony and the staff were super friendly and helpful. My only niggle is the lack of Kölsch in the minibar.

Great central location near a Ubahm stop. The river is a few blocks away and lots of restaurants just outside.

Very small room yet very functional. TV has French and English channels, unlike other hotels. LOT of stairs, but the receptionist brought the suitcase up for me. I took it down by myself. I book by calling Hotel.com for a garanteed balcony, but the receptionist said she never has had such a request !? Then she gave me a room with balcony, specifying that it is the hotel's favor. I did not like the feeling that I owe her something. Breakfast was basic, so I did not take one. Make sure you choose a strasse without coblestone to wheel your suitcase. I was so dissapointed that there is no cachet like in the picture, nothing from the old church which was the prior function of the house; the Lint should not advertise with the photo and the history behind the hotel !
