I was extremely satisfied with my recent stay at Countrside Inn, especially for the price, you can’t beat it! Where I am from you can’t find a hotel for less then $70/nite and if you do I promise you will be sharing the room with coakroaches and bed bugs. Not at CSI! The furniture and linens in the room were dated, but everything was absolutely clean, including the bathrooms which is most important to me. The staff was great and very helpful. The lady that works at night helped me feel very safe as she walked the entire property on a less then hourly basis making sure that everyone was being quiet and that nobody that was not a guest was not on property. That made me feel very safe considering I am a single white female in a strange town all alone. So thank you for that CSI. My only complaint, and it wasn’t even an issue for me but they do not have any amenities at all but what can u expect for such a great price. I would highly recommend CSI to travelers and out of towners needing somewhere to sleep during a long day driving or even to someone who is only going to be in Richmond for a short time due to work or something I hear that the weekly rates here are great as well. I gave CSI a 5 star rating, it’s not the Hilton but, you definitely get what you pay for and i would stay at CSI again anytime I go back to Richmond. Thank You to the staff for being so great!

I asked for a non smoking room, but the room smelled like smoke, and the bed sheet had cigarette burns on them. The WiFi didn't work. The furniture was old.

Kind of a sketchy area; non-smoking room had cigarette burn holes in carpet, bedspread, and sheets. Room was smelly. In a brighter note, staff was extremely friendly and courteous.

Started out with a TV that you had to manually turn on and off. Manually turn the volume up and down. To being locked out of my room due to key card not working and the manager having to come over from another hotel to use a master manual key to finally unlock it, after I stood outside in freezing temperatures for almost an hour. Had to get towels and wash cloth from front desk due to none being in the room. That's how I got locked out of room. Shower did not drain and when I stepped out of the shower/tub, that did not have a slip proof bottom, I slide and fell hurting my back and neck. Told the young lady at the front desk I wanted a refund, less then $60, and for a manager to call me. Neither has happened.

so noisy, there was a woman outside our door the entire night then around 7am she ended up screaming an woke us up 3 times, so we finally called the office and they removed her. then we were trying to get dressed an the room service woman came and knocked an we responded “one second” and then we heard the beap of the door where she totally was trying to come in the room. note im but ass naked so of course i didnt have a good response to it. the wifi sucks ass. rooms half clean. if there was a negative stars id totally give it. but if your looking for a cheap stay thats your spot i guess. the ladies in the front were high off their ass on drugs , totally not professional. i would recommend going elsewhere for something worth your money

Holes in walls,holes in bed spreads, tv worked for about 20 minutes. Wifi in and out, then out. Party outside, law was called and a ambulance around11:30pm. Beds uncomfortable, furniture dirty. Reservations for two nights, but left after one night.

Bedbugs. Did not stay!

They need proper cleaning and maintenance for this motel. I suggest never ever go with this motel.

The room and hotel is under renovation. My room had big black waterspots in bathroom. Electrical covers missing and rug was pulling apart. They still owe me one day refund!

I'm really sorry to say that this room and experience were a disappointment. We requested and were given a non-smoking room that clearly smelled of smoke, with 10-12 burn holes in the top sheet and bed spread, pillows that smelled of smoke on one side, and 15-20 cigarette burn trails on the top surface of the bathtub wall (we took photos so as not to be held liable). When we asked if there was another non-smoking room that we could move to, that option was not available, and we were asked if we wanted a bottle of Fabrieze. The television remote worked only partially, the toilet had a loose connection to the floor and rocked back and forth, there were cracks in the sink, old furniture that may date back to the 70's or earlier, and an overall, rundown appearance that was (sorry to say it) demoralizing. At a cost of $60 for the night, I think it's fair to say that we got what we paid for. And though my wife and I were disappointed enough to consider getting back in our car, absorbing the cost of the room, and completing our 16 hour drive through the nighttime hours, I believe that this room and experience could possibly feel adequate to people who don't have a lot of money to spend on an expensive hotel/motel room. So I wouldn't want to "knock it" for them. And though this review is not an affirming one, my wife and I do wish the Countryside Inn all the best for success in the future.

There is a sign in the lobby that says “No refunds after 30 minutes of check in.” That really just says it all. I think it’s highly likely that this is a bit of a flophouse for locals, not a rest stop for weary travelers.

TV remote was missing batteries, No phone in room to call the front test to request help. Non-smoking room.... cigarette butt in toilet when we entered the room. :( Tile ceiling in the bathroom was missing ceiling tiles. DO NOT STAY HERE - IT IS CHEEP BUT STILL NOT WORTH THE PRICE?

The rooms were filthy, the blankets had burn holes in them. Would not recommend anyone to stay there. We were refunded our money.

Ok I got this room for $49 and it is exactly what you would expect for that price - a dump. There are no amenities outside of a microwave and a tv. The furniture is old and falling apart. The room reeked of cigarette smoke even though it was supposed to be a no - smoking room. This is the first place I really wanted a chain on the door (but there was none)

I do NOT recommend this hotel. The shower head was missing in the bath tub. This was reported to the office. The tub and sink had old cigarette burns along the sides. Our bed sheets actually had a burn hole in it! A very unpleasant experience ...

Place could use some painting.

We arrived for check in and there was this wonderful woman behind the counter she was so inviting. We asked some questions about what there was to do around the area and she was very knowledgeable and gave us some good ideas. Thank you for being so accommodating!! If we are ever in this area again we will stay here.

Pictures on the website looks great but it's not that way. Room was smells of dog urine, curtains and chairs nasty and dirty

When traveling by myself, I look for inexpensive. All I need is a good shower, and a comfortable bed. Hopefully, in a clean room. This Inn fit the bill nicely. Thanks for a nice stay!

Room and property dated and dirty.

Bare bones. No frills. Got what I paid for, a bed and hot shower. If you want more than that your gonna pay more. No pool, no breakfast, no movie cable channels, no gym, no media ctr etc....

There were no towels in my room. There was an infestation of cockroaches. They were crawling all over the place.

I liked the night manager a great deal; she was very agreeable and tried to be helpful in every way. Unfortunately, I was wakened in the middle of the night by bedbugs, which were very plentiful! That is a 'stopper' for me to consider returning. It did not help that the TV did not work, but nothing like the bedbugs!

I love this place! I booked my first stay over a year ago…and I started staying here every chance I get (when I go that way)!
