Unfortunately I needed to cancel the stay due to circumstances out of my control and the hotel point blank was not interested and would not accept the cancellation and I was charged fully for a visit that I did not stay

Hotel is located directly on the beach with nice seaviews.
It is good for swimming and there are many restaurants around.
Long way into city centre, but there are buses and taxis just outside.
Breakfast was very limited and not very tasty.

Right on the beach, which was gorgeous…Hotel is clean and safe… as written in other reviews, you are likely to have some street noise at night (possibly on weekend only) from either beachside bars, or crowds returning home from those…
There were few things that caused some frustration:
- breakfast starts late, at 8 am on weekdays, and 8:30 on the weekend. Our train to Seville was at 9:20 am, and we could not have breakfast on the day of departure
- no food or drinks from the outside was allowed in the room… why?!
- if you dine in their restaurant, which was fantastic, a “default” welcome basket of bread and a bottle of plain tap water will cost you 3 euros each… just beware…

Pros - The hotel is by the beach and can walk to bus station in 9 mins, which takes you to city center within 30 mins. The staff are extremely friendly! In winter, you can get up at 7:30am and still see the sunrise.
Cons - There is a really bad smell in the bathroom… the staff said it was because the temperature change and it happens often. I didn’t book an ocean view room, so you can see other rooms from the window. It’s not convenient to take the public transportation to the airport. You need to take the tram then transit to the airport line, which will take more than 1 hour.

Lovely hotel staff..but breakfast very poor, fruit not replenished, so none for anyone after 9.30..bread was hard and the cooked breakfast was cold…not an enjoyable meal..two days running

Amazing hotel right beside the beach with friendly reception staff.
We visited for a long weekend and we're well chuffed to enjoy this hotel. Less than a minute from the beach so you get to enjoy your breakfast looking into the beach.
The breakfast is consistently good and we never left hungry although they tend to run out of things, like most hotels, towards the end of service.
Easy public transport routes into town with buses and trams close by and it's walkable if you are up for an hour's walk.
They also have a great selection of wines.
Room was pretty large with a great bed and views either onto the beach or Street.
If you have some time check out the roof top cocktail bar for a relaxing drink at sunset.

There is a HUGE DISCO ON THE lovely BEACH, (on the doorstep of the hotel ) It spoils your life
from NOON TO 4 o'clock IN THE MORNING. Noise in the restaurant 67 decibel and on hotel terrace even much more at lunchtime !!! Heavy beats.Breakfast ok, buffet often empty, must ASK for everything.Bad service, no smiles!!! You feel as if you are a nuisance.Very friendly receptionists.Good connection to inner city by bus and metro. The room(facing street behind hotel) :big, pretty,clean,good lighting,big window, good bed, good bathroom.DO NOT BOOK SEAVIEW ROOM IF YOU WANT TO SLEEP HERE!!!!

The property is right on the beach close to the harbour. There was a beer festival close by when we stayed that made it noisy at night. There was a beach club that played loud music which you could hear when you were on the beach. Public transport to city was easy and cheap. Several restaurants close to hotel however you need to travel to shopping centre or city for more choice.

What was excellent: staff and service, location at the beach and near good restaurants, pretty room, delicious breakfast buffet. What was an issue: a perfume, flowery smell that would not go away. It was very strong in the room and less strong throughout the hotel. The staff tried to help but couldn’t because the smell seems to be coming through the HVAC system.

It was a very nice Hotel. The rooms are very comfertable and clean. Only the breakfast was not so good and sometimes the cutlery and glases were dirty.

Checking in was very easy, they explained everything to us, what time breakfast is at, Which bus to take if you want to go into Old Town. If you’re lucky you can get free parking just outside otherwise pay parking is across the street. The beach is right there , the water is amazing., Plenty of restaurants to choose from.

This charming little hotel with it’s integrated restaurant, right on the beach strip, was one of the most pleasant stays we’ve had away from home. From the nice size/quality/cleanliness of the room, to the efficient and friendly staff, and high quality of the food served - we would recommend to our most finicky friends, and definitely return in the future!

The staff was very friendly and welcoming. They were so kind and very helpful. Their English and knowledge of languages was exceptional. They assisted me in making reservations for taxis and helping with finding local attractions. My vacation started off horribly but they saved it and for that I am truly grateful.

The beds and room are great and comfy. The view is nice, but what they do not tell you is how bad the noise is from the beach club. At 5:00 pM I still couldnt sleep. So the next day of my "holiday" I was exhausted and it was hard to enjoy Valencia. They tried to compensate me for the next night for another room etc. But I would have liked to know this before I booked. Also there is no swimming pool, which I knew, but I tought we can go to the beach instead. However the beach is disgusting and it's not safe. Thiefs are walking around there and also in front of the hotel they are bothering you. So the hotel is great but the environment where they are in is not.

The concierge was extremely helpful and pointed us in the direction of a wonderful restaurant La Pepica. Parking was across from the hotel entrance making it very easy.

Hotel Balandret has the best staff- so attentive, friendly and helpful. They even sent me a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine for my birthday which was unexpected.
Our room (number 13), was an Executive suite which looks out to the Main Street was very comfortable. The wood floors in the rooms mean you can hear everyone else in the hotel but that wasn’t really an issue as it was a quiet time of year. Our curtain also did not shut fully so the beautiful sunlight and evening lighting came through but once this is fixed, I am sure it’ll be a lovely dark room. The other reviews are right - the pillows are so comfortable.

Absolutely incredible stay. Staff were very friendly and accommodating, the hotel had everything and more that you needed. Very quiet, lovely beach front location, amazing breakfast too with great buffet range and hot food cooked to restaurant quality on request.
Would 100% recommend and would love to stay here again.
