This is a beautiful hotel. The concierge was amazing - we arrived late at night and he was watching for us! The room is wonderfully appointed - much more luxurious than we expected for this price. We wish we were staying longer instead of catching a cruise today.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful! I loved the decor, and the complimentary drinks on arrival. The staff was very pleasant. Also the surrounding area was perfect to get around and enjoy Valletta! Highly recommend

I very much enjoyed this hotel. The staff is very service-forward and helpful. It's quite lovely, the rooms are well-appointed and stylishly decorated. The location is fantastic. My only complaint was that the working condition of all electronic components in the rooms should be checked out - not all of the light switches worked and sometimes the tv would not turn on. But these are really minor complaints, as I would still choose to stay here again on a future visit to Valletta.

The hotel staff were incredibly helpful and polite. Our rental car fell through at the last minute and the hotel arranged for a car to be delivered to the hotel for us within a few hours. Breakfast was perfect. Highly recommend!

Staff was very helpful and attentive. Rooms were modern, clean, and comfortable. Walls were a bit thin so you could hear your neighbors. Otherwise, everything was great and convenient.

Absolutely amazing stay at this hotel. All the staff were extremely approachable and very helpful. The hotel is also in the middle of Valletta and very well located for exploring by foot with a restaurants close by. The rooms were very modern, well equipped, well stocked and very comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel and commend all the staff for a lovely stay.

Our stay at AX St John Valetta was amazing. The hotel was perfectly located in the historic city center. They serve an excellent breakfast which is worth to mention. Special thanks to the reception staff for their valuable guidance and exceptional restaurant recommendations. The Rampila restaurant and Sotto were both fantastic.

The hotel is in a great location--very central to Valletta. The room was also clean and well laid out. However, the hotel itself didn't live up to earlier reviews and needs to address some basic issues... When we arrived and turned on the shower for the first time, the very high-pressure showerhead sprayed straight across the bathroom so we had to use towels to mop up the water from the bathroom floor. As others have noted, the touchpads to control lighting were often unresponsive. They are also very bright and located on both sides of the bed so we had to cover them at night to sleep. Since Valletta was getting up to 40° C during our trip, we tried to use the thermostat to cool the room more but the room always stayed at 24° even when we set the temp at 18°. We called the front desk and an engineer came and explained that the room thermostat didn't actually change the AC settings. So why put a thermostat in the room that appears to work but doesn't actually work? The bulb was failing on one of the three main ceiling lights during most of our stay. We decided to not bother with it but since it was quite obvious, it's not clear why their staff didn't notice it. The hotel thoughtfully left two bottles of complimentary water the first two days we were there. So when they didn't leave any on the third day, we asked at the front desk and a manager said, "No, the complimentary water is only for arrival, not for everyday. Would you like to buy some?"

I was happy wirh my overall experience at the hotel but the touch pad controls for the lights were not always responsive, which could be frustrating if you were trying to turn off the lights to go to sleep. The pillows were way too soft for my liking. These issues would not keep me from returning.

Very nice and clean and calm, excellent stay

Overall very nice. We mistakenly booked 1 extra night, the website said "talk to the hotel", the hotel said "talk to the website". I know it was my mistake. They could have offered the taxi to the airport. I did not complain, it was my mistake but still... if it were the other way round I would have to pay for the night they did not book by mistake.

The room it’s don’t have, a real window, chairs and table. When we go to the hotel nobody is here, the checkin for the room, we made it from another hotel nearby. At the last day they don’t clean the room so we don’t have toilet paper and shampoo. At the last night somebody from the bar down start for joke the fire alarm and nobody come to tell us anything everybody go out, the Room it’s not like the photos

Keep coffee stocked. Even after drinking one cup in morning, coffee was not restocked for following day.

Lovely rooms and very details oriented. The rooms were nicely decorated and modern and new. Soft pillows but hard beds.

We stayed at the property last year and had a nice room on the fifth floor. This year we again booked a deluxe room however it was on the first floor at the front of the property directly above the bar. It was extremely noisy with thumping music continuing up to 12:55 am.. we were offered another room however it was a lot smaller and did not have the Maltese balcony. Very disappointing

The service in this hotel was amazing, and the interior design really made me feel at home. My only complaint is the shower temperature, it constantly fluctuates between normal and boiling hot temperature
