Would stay here again

This property was amazing! From communication to cleanliness to location! I was beyond impressed! I will be staying here exclusively when returning to Boston! Fantastic management!

Stayed in the one bedroom suite with family of 5, it was a perfect stay. Suite was beautifully decorated and bed was as comfortable as my bed at home. Kitchen had everything we needed for dinner in. Close to T and Fenway, area felt very safe and walkable with kids. Utilized parking out back which was convenient. Would definitely stay again when visiting Boston.

My daughter and I stayed here for a couple days while she was checking out BU. It’s a great location near the university. Beautiful old building and recently renovated. We contacted the hotel a couple times and they were quick to respond and very friendly. I hope to stay here again in the future.

Very well maintained bed and pillows are extremely comfortable and area is in a good location 8min walk from fenway and an average 10 to 15min uber drive to everything you'd love to see in boston

The property was excellent. ! But...................just a note............... They should pay a bit more attention to make sure everything works.......The refrigerator did not work and made some weird loud n,t ALL WAS GREAT !!!

Beautiful property and beautiful and clean room. The king size bed was comfortable as was the queen pull out sofa bed! Communication was via text and email. The only thing I would desire would be to have blackout curtains. Otherwise perfect!

We had an excellent stay, it was nice and clean. The location was amazing. The service had some slight hiccups with communication but overall very good and helpful when needed. It did get warm in the room at times because the AC couldn’t stay at a certain temperature consistently, but not to a point where it was uncomfortable. Would definitely recommend and would come back if we ever visit Boston again.

Except for the lack of an elevator and a little mixup in the door codes, everything works for a comfortable stay

In the end, we had a fine stay. The beds were comfortable, it was immaculately clean, and the location worked well for us. However, we have some serious concerns. The HVAC did not respond to the wall thermostat and it was stiflingly hot inside 90% of our stay. Most concerning is the door lock situation. Our original room did not lock at all! While we were moved to different room, it took quite a bit of back and forth to make it happen and not until late in the evening. Then I spent another 20 minutes at the front door in my PJs working out the code for the front door at street level. The customer service representative was helpful but this NEVER should have happened. Ensuring a secure door lock is perhaps one of the most important aspects of a hotel. Adding to the fact there is no way to secure room door from inside, I was never entirely comfortable during my stay

Having gone to college and lived in the area years ago, I was excited to find this property to be our homebase asI took my children on collgege tours. It is a beautiful brownstone just a few minutes walk from the Kenmore T station, but it was incredibly quiet!. Knowing there are dorms and fraternity houses close by, I wondered if it would be chaotic and loud, but it was peaceful and serene. The unit itself was beautiful and had everything we needed for 3 of us to stay comfortably. Everything was immaculate. The only downside (which I knew going in) was staying on the 3rd floor with no elevator. However, our beautiful view more than made up for having to lug suitases up and down.

We loved the apartment and amenities! We were not pleased with the support when appliances didn't work (delay time was too long). One issue could have been easily been taken care of over the phone (directions on how to use the stovetop), but it took two days so we couldn't prepare the food we purchased.

We had such a great stay while touring local universities. It was perfect for our family.

Good location with a short walk to lots of shopping , food and architecture. Modern clean room with functional kitchen . Bathroom has radiant heat flooring. If I had to pick at any minor issues it would be the noise as a result of facing the highways (I liked it but others in my family didnt) and some minor trash around the parking lot area. Overall very satisfied for the price.

The check in process was smooth, the property was in a great location, and the room was well furnished and comfortable, it's kind of apartment style so has a kitchenette and dishes. Bed was excellent, and my colleague said the sofa bed was comfortable. The only major downside was that it was cold. I think it was our room specifically, we had 3 bay windows that weren't super well insulated, so they shed heat like crazy. The heater unit couldn't really keep up with the freezing temperatures outside in the winter. There was a fireplace kind of thing, but it didn't really work, we couldn't get it to stay on longer than a minute or two. It wasn't too too cold, but a little colder than I would have preferred.

The apartment was conveniently located near Boston Conservatory of Arts. It was very clean with a nice layout and kitchen.

The property was very clean and had new appliances in every room. Felt well renovated. One thing I noticed was that the A/C didn’t work and it was getting up to 76 while it was 40 outside which was kind of weird (and a little too warm)

Nicely updated. But refrigerator didn’t work and no one came to look at it, we didn’t get enough towels and couldn’t get more despite several requests. During our stay another car in our building had there window smashed out. Parking lot had piles of trash everywhere. Definitely wouldn’t come back!

This beautiful brownstone converted to a set of unsupervised suites was terrifically convenient for our trip to Boston University. However, we experienced several serious problems with our stay that are worth warning others about. First, the property used four different methods of communication, sharing separate essential details via different platforms, which resulted in multiple miscommunications about parking, door codes, etc. Second, they used a third-party platform to collect a copy of a governor ID to confirm the reservation, and upon receipt, they immediately charged the full room cost to my card. This was a pay-at-the-property reservation. Although they reversed the charges on request, they still charged it again almost 48 hours before arrival. Third, they charged an additional $800 to the card two days after we arrived without notice, receipt, or explanation. I’m still waiting for a response. Finally, the door lock on the room would not lock without re-entering the key code. This was not mentioned in the instructions, and as a result, we unintentionally left the room unlocked each time we left the first day. It also meant we could not lock the room while we were inside, and there was no solution for that problem even after we realized it.

This is a very updated property. We wanted to be close to Fenway Park.

Beautiful renovated unit, very comfortable bed, great modern kitchen, very clean and cozy. Great place to stay in Boston if you travel with family and need a kitchen, and more space than a hotel room. Just be aware there is no elevator, unless you don’t mind using stairs. There is an available parking in the back of the building for an extra fee ( it was very convenient for us that we didn’t have to worry to look for a street parking especially at night). I would definitely recommend and stay there again visiting Boston. I hope that area behind the building will be taken care of and cleaned up as it was very unpleasant to use a back door where we parked our car. Unfortunately a lot of places in Boston are very dirty, pot holes, trash and unpleasant odors in majority of the city. Overall excellent studio in the great location!

Neither the description of the property is accurate nor the services provided. This place only offers you a comfortable bed to spend the night, other than that is does not offer any breakfast, so it is not a bed & breakfast. Although the room was clean when we arrived, they never changed our towels ( which we requested) and did not take out the trash. Self Check-in instructions were wrong so we couldn’t access the property and I had to call the hostess several times until she finally picked up. It is also located next to BU, which makes it kind of noisy as it surrounded by the students dorms and frat houses. I specifically requested a ground floor room due to a recent surgery I had, and they sent us to the basement. We were absolutely disappointed. And the worst part is that they charge very high fees and they don’t offer anything worth the price. I would never, ever stay in this place again!

We enjoyed the location as well as the room. It was bright and clean and had everything we needed. The mattress is a little squishy and would have preferred a firmer mattress and the pillows were not my favorite, very heavy and a little stiff but for a few nights it was okay. It would have been nice if the windows also had curtains as well as the blinds but just my preference for sleeping and not having it so bright. The owners response time was great and they answered our questions very quickly. I would have also liked luggage storage and it seems the building might have the capacity but that was not option besides it being listed as an option.The owners did recommend a few storage options but it was more inconvenient to do that and not very close when you are carrrying bags and luggage. We loved being able to walk to fenway and Newbury street when the weather was nice. There was not much around as far as coffee or lunch options. The nearest coffee place is Dunkin’ Donuts or McDonald’s which is a few blocks away. Not horrible but would have loved a nice breakfast or coffee place a little closer. I did like the quiet street and that is was more residential. It looks like the owners are still doing work on the building but the stair case had exposed nails at the top of each one. I am sure that is not building code as someone could really hurt themselves if you trip or have open toed shoes. I assume they know this and are going to fix it. Overall,we would stay there again.

The property is well appointed and in a great location. The issue is that with no staff on hand, and no check in, it can be frustrating and time consuming getting settled in. That said the property was nice. The area lacks any breakfast outlets (baring a 5 min walk to McDonalds)

I really the riverview room I stayed because it is spacious, has a mini kitchen, dishes, and utensils. The bathroom is very nice too. I loved the sitting area as well. The dining table is especially useful. Overall, we had an excellent time at the gryphon house B&B.

It is dieeferent than your regular Marriot or Hiilton but amazingly homely. So spacious and feels like home. We came in late night and intially had some difficulty finding the property due to rain and darkness. But the attendentant buzzed us in and everything was amazing. The parking is in the back. Its very quiet and very very homely. Every attention to detail has been made to make it look different and scores well. If I were to come back and stay in Boston no questions this would be were I could come back to

We had a fantastic stay at Gryphon house, the staff was very attentive and the room was spacious and very comfortable. We will absolutely stay again!
