We had an excellent stay. The room was large and clean, with a very comfortable bed. The location cannot be beat—very convenient to ghats, 5 min walk to evening aarti, yet tucked away and very quiet. Beautiful roof terrace for breakfast or just sitting and enjoying the view. The staff was extremely accommodating and helpful.

Good location, beautiful hotel and clean bathroom. The only thing I didn't like was the staff constantly trying to sell me overpriced tours, boat rides, and apparel and asking how much I paid for my purchases. It was very annoying to deal with this all day outside the hotel, and then inside the hotel. Just offer once and then stop pushing it.

This is a good affordable hotel right on the Ghats. It cannot get more convinient to visit the various sights on the Ghats, take a boat ride and go to the many temples than staying at this hotel. The staff is very friendly and attentive. It is a perfect place at a budget price that is safe, convinient and hospitable.

This hotel is very close to the Ghat but to get there, you need to contact the owner and get somebody from the hotel to lead you there. No car access, but that would be true about most hotels on the Ghat. The area is stinky and smelly, often the smell permeates to the room. But again: this would be true about any hotel on the Ghat. The room was not too expensive, but the price you get only basic comfort. No working TV, internet in the room very slow, you need to go to a lobby for this. Often power outages (not long though). Interesting mixture of people in the hotel. The hotel can organize the transport from/to the airport and a morning boat trip on Ganges. The rooms and toilets correspond more to Indian local standards. I was not successful to develop any friendship with the owners and the stuff, which often is a benefit of staying in small hotels. Briefly: next time I would rather choose a different place to stay. But if you look for simple and not-that-expensive accommodation, this hotel might be a correct choice.

Mr. Sanjay and his team took care of my family. They are very considerate and made all the arrangements for Darshan and Cab for the to-and-fro journey to DDU station. We liked the food. River view rooms are the absolute charm. Have observed a sizable number of foreign tourists in this hotel during our stay. Thank you very much for everything. Special mention to Mr. Neeraj. He was omnipresent in all the activities in and around the temples and ghats.

Nice & clean property but difficult to access on your own. However, the hotel staff is very friendly & helpful, they go out of their way to help make your stay comfortable.

Varanasi is a wonderful city to visit. Our hotel is conveniently located above the ghats for easy access. Our room would have been so much more comfortable if we had had heat. It gets cold in Varanasi at night during the winter, dress Warm. The dinners at the hotel were very tasty.

Although this hotel is rather basic and a little rustic, the location is excellent. The service received was better than any 5 star hotel. The staff went above and beyond.

Great place to stay when in Varanasi. The rooms overlook the Ghat and Ganges river. River facing rooms on the 2nd floor are best because they have a outdoor deck. Breakfast, which is included with the price of the room was delicious. Just a few steps away from the Ganges. The small winding streets of Varanasi are a little confusing at first so I would suggest paying a little extra to have the hotel arrange the taxi from the airport, when they pick you up their staff come out to the main road, carry your luggage and guide you to the hotel. I'm not giving this hotel a 5 star rating because I think its a 5 star luxury hotel, its not! The entire place could use a fresh coat of paint and our toilet seat was broken. You probably wouldn't like Varanasi if that was you were looking for. This place is great because of the attentive staff and location, location, location! I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again

True Varanashi character. If you truly want to know Varanashi this is the place to be. Middle of everything the old charm ,history and spirituality by the side of river Ganga . The staff goes beyond there way to help you with your needs and wants. I personally will stay there again.

Close to the Ghart. Very clean and great food and service. Highly recommend to all.

Located very centrally to all the ghats and places tourists want to visit in ?Varanasi and run by really nice people, the hotel is nevertheless nowhere near a “palace”. It is massively overpriced for what it offers, the rooms seem more like an attempt to build something high-end without achieving it. I would never stay there again, especially when for even less money you can stay in much nicer places.

Sri Omkar Palace is your ideal home in Varanasi. Amazing location, exceptional friendly service, great food, and a place to lay your head between exploring this truly magical place. It is however rustic, as much of India, and if it wasn’t for its location and such a sought after destination I would say it is overpriced and a bit run down.

The customer service was really good. The hotel is not easy to get to as the taxi will only take you so far and so you need to carry your own luggage to the hotel which can be kind of a strenuous walk. If you don’t have gps then very easy to get lost. I was not happy with the tour guide booked through the hotel. I had one of the best butter chickens here in the roof top restaurant.

The hotel is tucked away down the smallest of the small alleys in this old part of the city. As an older building it is not the most opulent and rooms are small but the property is well maintained and clean. The location is fantastic for seeing, feeling, experiencing all the activities in the city and on the ghats. The breakfast is excellent and is served in a cooled rooftop room with great views of the Ganga. We would definitely stay there again. Note that you must walk the last five minutes or so from the nearest road that is accessible to autos and rickshaws. This is true for many hotels and guesthouses here.

Having not travelled to varanasi before I wasn't sure what to expect...can't really compare on the price of this hotel with others but it isnt cheap. What you do get is a comfortable safe stay. Rooftop view is great along with the breakfast. Friendly service too
