We enjoyed our stay at Palais Le Brun. Hotel is in a good location to get around the city easily, has a nice roof top pool and bar, and has a relaxed, chilled feel about it. Staff were friendly and helpful. Only two negatives, breakfast was quite basic, but fine for our short stay. Also building works going on around hotel, so a number of large cranes. Not the hotels fault and didn’t impact our weekend.

Had a lovely stay here, close to everything we wanted to walk too, yet just a couple blocks away to be quiet. Lovely clean room, comfortable bed, large shower and a grrat pool

Loved everything about this hotel, but especially all the staff. They were all so friendly, helpful and welcoming. They all made us feel most welcomed and appreciated, and were very helpful when we needed any information or a reservation. Would most definitely return to this hotel.

Great place to stay!

This was a really nice hotel in a decent location, easily walkable to Valletta’s attractions. My room was very nice, but very dark. The balcony door was in a little corner/alcove so it didn’t let in much natural light. Other than that, the room was great and a good size. The bathroom was lovely. The breakfast was really nice and substantial and the rooftop pool and sitting area, wall small, was a nice place to relax.

What a wonderful hotel, the corner partial ocean room view was excellent as it has a big balcony. The room was clean and well appointed, the staff was helpful and wonderful

Great little hotel! Even though check in wasn’t till 2pm we were able to check in at 11am as our room was available. Room was very spacious, very clean and the air con excellent. Valletta was very warm (weekend in August). We used the rooftop pool, which was nice, however not until the last day did we find out there is a sister hotel, Gomerino, where the pool is much better and excellent views of the three cities. Breakfast was good, lovely to see some Maltese dishes to sample! Our flight home was late at night, the hotel itself doesn’t have a shower to use after going out for the day/ in the pool but as stated above you can use the sister hotel which does have a shower and changing facilities. It’s about a 5/10 min walk. Overall a lovely hotel.

Just come back at from a wonderful stay at Palais Le Brun. Staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Room was fantastic. Nice breakfast. Spacious, very clean and very quiet. Hotel is a only a short walking distance to just about everything in Valletta. Plenty of nearby shopping, dining galore and interesting historical places to visit. Desk was very helpful in arranging transport and advice on day trips and booking. The roof area with the pool was a nice place to relax after a long day. Small but never got busy or overcrowded. If we are ever to return to Malta, I would most certainly use this hotel again.

Hotel is smart, my room was spacious and with good air conditioning and a mini fridge which were vital as weather was very hot during my stay, slept well. Drinking the tap water is not advised there and a large carafe of bottled water was refilled daily. Staff are excellent, friendly, helpful and professional. Breakfast is in a lovely little restaurant on a pretty street between the two main hotel entranced and was delicious, with a wide selection of fruit ,continental from the buffet and cooked items from the menu. At busier times due to the layout of the building it could be a little chaotic with staff and guests dodging out of each others' way going to and from tables and buffet/ drinks areas, however as I say this is down to the layout of the building in a historic area and not something that can be chsnged. The 5th floor rooftop pool is large enough to swim in and there were plenty of sun loungers in the surrounding terrace area,which has a lovely view down to the sea. Currently a large crane is also in eyeline due to nearby construction work, this was made clear by the hotel prior to arrival. Shortly after booking the hotel emailed offering to book a driver from/to the airport; this cost €26 each way and was worth every cent- the hotel is on the opposite side of Valetta to the bus station and although without luggage it is a pleasant walk there, it is hilly and the hotel is towards the bottom of a steep hill- pulling a case uphill in that heat was a no!

My wife, toddler and I stayed at Palais Le Brun for just over a week. The staff were very friendly. The breakfast is included and I thought was quite good. I liked being able to order one hot meal and have access to the buffet as well. The staff were accommodating with breakfast and offered us alternative options as our toddler has an egg allergy. The area around the hotel is quite quiet. It was a bit difficult using our stroller on the streets in Valetta but that's really not an issue the hotel can rectify (city issue). There are a lot of restaurants nearby and the hotel is in the heart of Valetta so it makes site seeing a lot easier. There is a small pool on the roof of the hotel, which was fun to swim in with the family. There is also a rooftop bar and gym downstairs. I would have liked to have had access to heavier weights but it did the job for me. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.

Overall a great time in Valletta. the hotel is good but a few points let us down hence 4 stars. Not sure if we’d come back to hotel Le Brun. TBC Positive: -Great pool, good lounger layout -large room (duplex suite) -quiet hotel - not far from centre - V. nice breakfast staff (except one see below) Negative: - A couple members at reception were poor: a) they gave us someone else’s bill which had that guest’s personal information like phone, email, full name etc. and when we pointed this out to the receptionist she just laughed! b) misinformation- sent us to a non-existent market, sent us down the worst possible route to the ferry, bad recommendation for a restaurant… - one of the male staff at breakfast kept touching our 2-year old girl and by the third time I moved her so he couldn’t reach her. It may have been innocent but it made us uncomfortable. - The room wasn’t thoroughly cleaned. On arrival we found 2 false nails on the floor and throughout our stay, despite tipping, the floor was never swept, towels were not always replaced/some missing etc. - the awful quality rubber mattress protector that make you sweat like you’re in a sauna. - Breakfast hot food is a bit meh (trying to be too fancy) - Hotel in steep hills. Pavement very slipper, not good for those less able to walk or with a wheelchair or pram Will definitely come back to Malta, not sure about this hotel. Must try: Sphinx for pastizz, Ortygia for Sicilian food, lot 61 for coffee, Why Not? for wine bar

The staff was very helpful, friendly and the nicest. I found the location great because it’s on a very quiet area only a few blocks away from main streets. The gym is very small but I was surprised with the amount of equipment. Room was very spacious with a nice bathroom. Overall I highly recommend it.

Excellent location. Would love to come back. Enjoyed the roof top pool in the hot late afternoons. Friendly and courteous staff.

Checked into a room that smelled musty. Changed to the one room that they had available. The shower didn’t drain and water kept flooding all over the bathroom. Had to mop it up with towels and ring them out in toilet. Coffee machine made more coffee than would fit it the cups provided. Coffee spillled over onto the table and floor.

Location is key 3 to 5 minutes walk from the centre square of Valletta Lovely hotel a true find , will definitely recommend this place

Stayed here for five days. Good location with everything in old city center in walking distance. Friendly and helpful staff, enjoyed the breakfast and the swimming pool is nice after a day of sightseeing.

Likes - comfortable bed, good facilities, nice breakfast, good sized pool terrace. Dislikes - room opposite lift, bedroom not v dark though good curtains - light from under door, flashing smoke alarm, strange light on ceiling in corner of a room, aircon light etc At bottom of street so need to be ok with walking up many steep streets to get to centre but then Valetta is hilly! A building is being refurbed at end of street so cranes, workmen etc

A very nice hotel in the best situation in Valletta. The staff are very kind, especially the lady at breakfast. Only downsides for me is that I would expect a hotel of this standard to have better toiletries; you have shampoo/shower gel (same thing), but no hair conditioner, which was a nightmare when arriving late and wanting to wash your hair followed by Sunday when all shops were shut. The shower smelt a little damp at times too, as there was a cupboard door within the cubicle that was chipped and seemed to soak up the water. It would also be great if they did more varied food options around the pool, like salads.

Lovely hotel with spacious spotless rooms and helpful staff in a great location. We stayed in the newly renovated part with was tastefully decorated. Breakfasts were excellent. Would happily choose to stay at this hotel again.

Lovely hotel

This is a beautiful hotel in a great locationin the old city, 2 mins walk to the sea front, 5 min walk to the restuarants and historic places, 10 mins walk to the ferry to Sliema where you can catch trips around the bays etc. All the staff were lovely and couldnt do enough for you. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
