My pet peeve is a lack of a coffeemaker in the room. Other than that an uneventful stay.

Clean and perfectly equipped for a weekend stay. Perfect location for a foodie and to bring a teenager to.

My epxerience wasn't the best. Tru-hotels must be the lowest of lows of the Hilton Hotels. I would not take my family to this location. Upon arrival my daughter and i heard extremely loud gun fire so we knew they had to be close. So we got into the hotel better safe to be in there than ridk getting caught in a cross fire. Service next at check in/out were friendly. Breakfast food was terrible. Glad was only one night.. the restaurants around the hotel are pretty nice restaurants.

Staff was very friendly and very helpful. But......as soon as we walked into our room we had to kill a small roach by the bed. Walls are very thin and could hear everything in the hall. Could hear people running on the floor above us as well. The inside of the room needed a little work but that was not a big deal. Bed was comfy. The next morning I had to kill another roach in the bathroom sink. And lastly, a couple of times I walked out of the room and the hallway smelled like marijuana. Not exactly the kind of stay I expected.

Overall we had a good stay at Tru by Hilton Harbison Columbia. There was an odor in the only working elevator each time we entered. My whole family held their breath as we went up, as it was quite unpleasant. Otherwise, we had a great stay.

I have used hotel.com for years.
Great site.
However, I arrived at this moteland had a amenities charge of 50.00.
Then to top it off, I asked for a receipt and was told I would get it from hotels.com
The kicker? Statement on my bank was $ 75.00, not $50.00 that was on the pin pad.

I love Tru’s, but not this one. For a newer hotel the room was clean, but not to a high standard. Walls were scraped and staff was not kind at check in.

We just needed a place to stay on our multi day driving trip. We thought since it was a Hilton property it should be good. The reviews were good so I booked. This room and the property were extremely basic but our room felt dirty. The floor was sticky and made our feet dirty. There were gaps in the flooring and some substance coming out around the seams. There was hair in the bathroom and on our towels. The door to the room was stuck and very hard to open and close. No bedside table on one side of the bed. One desk chair so no comfortable seating. All in all I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

I was previously excited about this new brand but already disapppointed. Elevator was out of order and worse there was no hot water in rm 108 - handicapped room. Shower sprays all over bathroom and there was mildew on shower curtain. Pancake maker is just silly.

The room had bugs. I had to lift the tank top to pull handle to allow water to fill up toilet to flush. The A/C was broken, no hot water. The bedding was dirty. I tried using room phone for service, was inoperable. Called desk on my cell phone, call went straight to voicemail. I personally went to desk. Rep. Was on her cell phone. With a bed cap on, and hoodie. She said she could give me some bedding to change myself because there is no housekeeping at night or maintenance available. I could not shower, and was very uncomfortable with bugs. The next day, I called corporate. They spoke to Rick who changed my room. My son found roaches n his room, too. One elevator has been out of service for months. The hallway carpet is dirty and not maintained because there is no staff in the evening. This property should be thoroughly cleaned and maintained to prevent any potential illnesses or injuries. I will never stay at any Tru or any hotels associated with Hilton. No one wants to enter a hotel where floors are filthy and dirty. Never again!!

Did not get a good night rest. The shade on window did not block out light from street nor daylight. Hence, I kept waking up every 2hrs. Mary checked me in and, she was Awesome. Breakfast was great. A lot of choices.

Im aware of the time we live in w technology but no coffee this morning and staff on their phones. A smile and service is always appreciated and I go out of my way to give good reviews also but a little more attention to detail goes a long way.

Room was clean. Floor felt a little damp. Door showed red/green lights at same time and was told had no worries.
I’ve been in the hotel business for 37 years as an Executive/Director of Housekeeping. Not sure I want to believe nothing to worry about.

When we tried to check in, we were told no rooms were ready, even though it was after the check-in time. Our room is clearly not maintained well, with several things requiring maintenance. The A/C unit was making a strange sound the whole time, and at night wouldn’t even get cold. Our temperature was set on 68, and I was sweating all night long with just a sheet over me.

The person running the front desk was amazing and extremely helpful. She is clearly a very good employee and helpful. We would rank her as excellent.
compared to other Tru’s we’ve stayed at This one is not well-maintained and is dingy / dilapidated. We previously stayed at probably one of the older Tru’s located in Wytheville, Virginia, and the place is so well-maintained it looked and felt like it was almost new.
Next time we come through Columbia, South Carolina will probably stay at the true that’s on the other side of town.
We are frequent flyers and have stayed at 6 different Tru’s this is been quite disappointing.

For a Hilton brand its bad. Whole place is dirty. Lobby, rooms all of it.

This is not the Tru that we have stayed at previously. We checked in on Friday night. There was no issue with check in however the room was not clean. There were things in the room from the previous guest that lets you know it was jot cleaned like hair clips and hair on the floor. The next morning my wife grabbed a washcloth and started to wash her face she noticed a red stain on the wash cloth and thought her nose was bleeding or something but it was just the washcloth. When I made the reservation I put that there were two adults and two children in a double room however there were two washcloths and towels and while this is a simple fix its just that when you come in off the road you don’t want the extra requirement of going to get additional linen. Finally we spoke to the front desk associate who was nice and let her know that we wanted the room cleaned while we were out (on the weekend service is by request). She got the information we left the property at 7:30am and returned at 6 pm to the same unclean room we left. I would consider staying at a different Tru based in previous experiences but definitely not this one. Overall a gracious 2 stars.

Nasty microwave needs new and coffee was cold trash outside wasn’t taken cigarettes trash wasn’t taken overall it was ok oh and door in room in bathroom was hard to close to much noise on the 4th floor until 2 got woken up thank you

The bathroom had mold in the shower. The hallway was filthy with dirty carpets and the walls were scratched and dirty. The room was dark and had a funky smell. And the bed looked like someone had just slept in it. There is no coffee maker in the room. The coffee is in the lobby. Noisy, noisy noisy! This is a party hotel for locals. RUN AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! GROSS!

When I went to check in I wasn’t told anything because the young lady who checked me in was on the phone. All she asked me was for my last name. She then asked me for my card then went back to talking otp. She asked for my I.D and I showed her. She told me to insert my card. I seen a charge of 50.00 pop up on the card reader. I’m trying to ask her what’s the 50.00 for? I said is it for the room? She shook her head yea but didn’t say anything to into her personal phone call. So I was about to ask her what charge is it for the room but she was acting like she couldn’t open her mouth and communicate due to her being on the phone. I didn’t know where the elevator was because I’m use to being told where everything is at other hotels once checked in. I stood there looking around as she watched me. I then said um can u tell me where the elevator is and she pointed towards the right. I left to get food probably 2-3 hours of being checked in. When I got back she was still looking down on her phone so I’m assuming phone calls and being on her phone is way more important. I just didn’t have good service. I didn’t care for my room for different reasons but I just sucked it up for my remaining couple of hours until I check out
