the room had holes and once the rain arrived at night all the room was flooded (included me in my bed at 2am) and had to move to a different room

The balcony was an epic view of the park, bed was super firm. Overall it was a good place to stay

I liked the location and downstairs restaurant. The only thing that needs improvement is the hot water option. It was luke warm for the most part.

The property was in a great location. The room we stayed in needed some remodeling. Bathroom sink was loose, crack in the walls and in a small window glass. Doors are locked at night which was a plus. Breakfast was included in the pricing. Staff was friendly. I gave it 3 stars because the place can be better.

Decor and feell was awesome. Our room was huge, 2 queen beds. Fridge, shoer, couch, living space! Staff was super sweet....need to speak some spanish.

Disappointing. Zero customer service. Tired guest house. Tiny room, no openable window, useless shower. The worst point is the dreadful smell of fried food that comes in through the air con 24 hours a day whether the unit is on or off. Really unpleasant. Ridiculous bell system to get in main door which means guests coming in at all hours of the night have to ring to get access waking you up. Noisy- buskers outside from midday to madrugada. Horrible breakfast room. Best point - sitting on rocking chairs on balcony overlooking the square.

Great boutique in the heart of Old Town. Awesome staff, great room and perfect location. Definitely will be booking again if I come back to Cartagena.

I loved staying here! The rooms and interior of the hotel are cool, staff is friendly, nice breakfast, perfect location, etc. I would recommend this spot to anyone visiting Cartagena. You can be just about anywhere in the old town area in about 5-10 mins walking. Set just off of a square with music and vendors in the day and quiet at night.

The air conditioning did not cool the entire room, despite running on the strongest setting for days. The pool is very small and in the basement, which renders it nearly unusable. The rooftop area is rundown — only a few chairs can be found there. The area around the hotel was quite noisy, and like the rest of the city, unsafe in the evening. Would not stay here again.

Basic and clean hotel (calling it boutique is overstated). Staff is friendly, breakfast is adequate, but location by square is super noisy late into the night, despite what other reviewers say. Staff was understanding and refunded the balance of our stay and we could find a nice and quiet hotel nearby, far better appointed and for roughly for the same price.

Location, location, location! Beautiful view onto a plaza, with great music and food and vibrant life just steps from the front. The service was fabulous - we were even allowed to keep our room until the evening since our flight was late at night - what a wonderful gesture!

Highly recommend this hotel for these reasons - 1. Location is perfect overlooking a charming plaza with easy & very fun walks to 3 other close by plazas for great restaurants, boutique shopping, nightlife or just strolling through the best part of the old town. I’ve enjoyed so many nights sitting on the balcony overlooking the plaza....charming.2. Staff and owner are personable and gracious. They go out of their way to make your stay wonderful by individually suggesting more events and personal tours. Both the owner and Melanie speak fluent English, Portuguese, German, French and Spanish to help.3. Rooms are spotless and a good value. You can choose a quiet room in the back or have a front room with a balcony overlooking the plaza nighttime fun. Room size was quite large.4. Pool now available. The hotel just put in a nicely done pool.5. Secure for safety with very little car traffic in front of Hotel.6. Great made to order breakfast with many choices.To summarize, if you want a small, charming boutique hotel in a great location with a very friendly helpful staff, this is an excellent choice at a good value.

At night, it can be loud if the park is packed with live musicians. the breakfast didn't offer lots of options but was made to order. It's one of the few hotels in the walled city with sleeping space for a family of four. The shower was super small so might be a challenge for larger people. For the price, this is nice little place to begin your exploration of this wonderful city.

What a gem! The fabulous location and amazing staff really made our trip special! Also, very nice air conditioning with remote control and lots of hot water for showers so we were always comfortable.
