Right in the campus of Yale University, plenty of places to shop and dine. Hotel rooms are small but clean, decorations are in vintage style. If the hotel can offer more amenities, this place would be 5 stars.

Property was great, but no onsite parking was rather frustrating.

A Charming Stay in the Heart of the City We recently stayed at this delightful hotel and couldn't have been more pleased with our experience. From the moment we walked through the door, we were greeted with a warm, at-home atmosphere that instantly made us feel welcome. The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to ensure our stay was comfortable. Bonus features coffee/breakfast cafe with a gathering room as well as a few study/ reading rooms available on the premises, perfect for starting the day or enjoying a cozy evening. The location is superb, with easy walking access to all the local attractions, shops, and restaurants. We never needed a car to get around, which was a huge plus. It's important to note that the hotel does not have on-site parking. However, there's free meter parking on Sundays and between 9 pm and 7 am. For those needing to park outside these hours, there are plenty of garage options nearby. If you're driving a truck or a vehicle higher than 6'8", parking can be a bit trickier. We found that parking at one of the train stations was the best option for oversized vehicles. Overall, this hotel offers a charming, welcoming experience.we highly recommend this hotel if visiting New Haven.

It was our first time in CT. The hotel is very charming. Located in a nice neighborhood. We really like the teakettle in our room as we are big tea drinkers. Highly recommended hotel.

Loved the comfort, quiet & uniqueness of this hotel - from the lobby spaces & decor to the tiniest details in the room & beautiful spacious bathroom. Only critique was no bellman to help with luggage or ramp at front to get luggage easily to the lobby.

I recently stayed at The Graduate Hotel and had a pleasant experience overall. The highlight of my stay was Christina, the very kind and thoughtful Hotel Manager. She was incredibly informative about where to park our vehicle and provided clear directives, which made our arrival much smoother. However, it's important to note that there is no valet service at this hotel. The streets around the hotel are quite tight, so you will need to drive to a parking lot and walk back to the hotel. This wasn't a major issue, but it's something to be aware of if you have a lot of luggage or are arriving late at night. One thing to keep in mind is that the entrance of the hotel has stairs. If you haven't packed light, you'll find yourself lugging your baggage up a flight of steps to get to the main lobby. This can be a bit of a hassle if you're not prepared for it. Additionally, the hotel does not offer a free breakfast. The only breakfast option available consists of pastries that you can purchase. While they were tasty, I did miss having a more substantial breakfast included with my stay. On a positive note, all the staff at The Graduate were very kind and accommodating, which made my stay more enjoyable. The location is also a major plus, as it is conveniently situated within walking distance to Yale University, making it an excellent choice for anyone visiting the campus, and they accept pets which is a big plus.

Unique property

I brought my daughter to New Haven for a tour of Yale and we could not have stayed at a more appropriate hotel. Super clean. Super comfy. Super quaint. I wish we could’ve stayed longer. Hopefully she decides to attend Yale (and hopefully she’s admitted) so I can make this hotel my second home.

The hotel was comfortable and beautiful, and we were near all of the things we planned to do in our short time in New Haven.

Room to small for three people.

Nice hotel with smart and club-house design. No free parking, but there is a garage a block away. Many food options nearby.

Didn’t like that guests cannot adjust the AC. It sometimes gets very warm and stuffy. The agent at the desk in lobby said there are no fans. The hotel otherwise is quite clean and beautifully decorated. Elevators are difficult to access with the cards given. Easier to take the stairs.

The staff was not that friendly

I booked the double bed, when I come they gave us the single bed because they running out of the double bed room.

No onsite parking .

I loved some of the staff but the property has problems. The area is unsafe and there is no security or staff to support customers. The property caters to students and the homeless, and the paying customers are not a priority. There were two protests against the hotel while I was a guest and in the area. The protest was for discriminating conduct against and employee. As well property is not accesible. The front steps are dangerous and while ai was there a person fell and broke their arm on the steps. So many issues.

The property is public and does not put paying customers first. They have limited dining, they do not take the dangerous steps in the front seriously. They are not supportive of guests.
