It’s what I expected of Town Lodge really. The accommodation is all good. But the dining experience was pretty poor. The buffet didn’t have the variety one expects of a buffet.

It was advertised as having an airport shuttle but it was actually just calling a taxi (or Uber) to pick me up. I only chose to stay there because they advertised having airport tranportation.

So my uber driver dropped me at the back entrance .i dont know its the one facing the road by th corner.worst entrance ever sucks.extremely inefficient.hoowever trust Noluthando and Busi to bring back my smile with amaIng customer service.all the staf wS great.from cleaning to restaurant to security.loved my stay thank you very much.

It was a beautiful property with friendly staff and nice amenities. It was convenient to the airport and wasn't impacted by load shedding happening in the area.

I enjoyed my stay. Cleanliness throughout the period we stayed there. Front desk should explain to new guests how the card system works, more especially in the elevator.

Truly a lovely stay for anyone who wants to be central to the beauty of Durban. I found it economical too on Ubers .

The rooms were very clean and the hand santizer and handcreams which were in the room came in very handy on the trip. The staff (from the reception, the security guards, the restaurant personnel and the housekeepers) were exceptional! They were all friendly, professional and very helpful. Thank you for a great stay.

Rather confused about breakfast structure - Too expensive for what was offered.
Groups of soccer players visiting the hotel were extremely roudy around the pool and staff didnt attend to this as it was terrible for other guests!
Over-all it was a good stay - Clean & friendly & safe.

The hotel inside was pleasing but level one packing was leaking water. So when its full you are forced to step down from the car and we don't know how safe that running water was.
The breakfast was also average, more like Road Lodge, there was no difference. I sometimes sleep at Town lodge at Kempton Park in Johannesburg their breakfast is far away from the one at Umhlanga. Very good. So I suggest that they improve a lot on breakfast.
Otherwise their hospitality and service was WOW....very excellent service from everyone.

The receptionist could not find the booking on their system, and instead of calling Hotels.com, they made us wait for hours. I eventually called Hotels.com and the booking was resolved.

Overall pleasant stay for the price. Room is fresh in design and of decent size and space. Clean and comfortable. Service was good and quick. No frills no fuss budget accommodation.
