Very clean and understated elegance.

Me and my fiancé had a great time at the hotel, service was absolutely amazing and super polite. The food was delicious and quick. We just had the greatest experience. Thank you so much for giving us an amazing experience, and planning on coming back.

Amazing stay, I’m a local and I spend the weekend with my wife, super friendly staff, rooms are really nice. Pool is awesome as well as the rooftop bar .

for the price I have quickly gotten over staying here it is a very nice property with a modern style but it’s far away from the riverwalk in my opinion

The rooms are outstanding. Staff is exceptional. Very close to downtown. Everything is in walkable distance. If walking is not an option, take one of the rentable bikes or scooters. Very fun! Or just an Uber for 7 to 8 Dollars to the heart of the city. The only thing I did not like was the construction on the other side. Other than that absolutely recommended.

Low water pressure, shower trim and sink faucet definitely needs replacing. House cleaning could have been more attentive. Had to ask the front desk to send them up, after two days of no replacement towels of cleaning done in the room. Beds were somewhat comfortable, mini bar and chromecast was a plus tho, valet and bell hops were definitely friendly and informative. Location wasn’t ideal if you wanted access to the majority of the attractions of the river walk. Would feel like the Grand Hyatt of the Riverwalk would have been the better choice than this hotel.

I booked a king bed. When I arrived they said they only had two queen beds. They could’ve given me advance notice. I would’ve gone somewhere else. Very disappointed.

The first thing I noticed was the professionalism of the staff, in the form of the valets. They were on the spot and completely courteous. Upon entering the front doors, we were greeted by an olfactory sensation that I later found was the Thompson @ San Antonio’s specifically designed scent, and that all other Thompson hotels had their unique scents as well. It was devine. Upon arriving at our room, we were overwhelmed by the design of the room. The furnishings were top notch. The combination of modern with a touch of avant-garde and, sexy. The combination in the bedroom was only outshined by the bathroom. The shower was exquisite, complete with body wash that had the same scent as the lobby. Now I could bathe in that scent and wear the Thompson around town. The 20th floor lounge was the cream of the crop. It was beautiful and the drinks were amazing. I felt comfortable in shorts and casual shirt along side a black tie party. The staff made us feel at home, scratch that, we felt spoiled and we loved it. The Land Race restaurant, with its simple menu was actually anything but simple. Their take on the old classics were brilliant. Their breakfast classics were perfectly sized, delicious and just what a growing boy needs for a TEXAS sized day of awesomeness. Finally upon checkout, everything was seamless and our car was waiting, nice and cool. I would highly recommend the Thompson to anyone who wanted to have an excellent time along the Riverwalk. Kudos.

Dirty horrible service

The property was beautiful and clean. The only thing I can complain about is the parking at the hotel which was in excess of 50 dollars

The Thompson upgraded our room to a suite because it was our 20 year anniversary. They also had a bottle of champagne in our room, congratulating us on 20 years of marriage. Wonderful staff and beautiful hotel.

Reserved a 2 bed room with a month in advance walk into the room with only one bed. When i spoke to the front desk they said they had made some changes to acomadate other guest that day. So i asked them if they can make some changes (or kick people out like they did to me) to accommodate me and said no so my question was how can u kick me out of my room or why ? They just laughed and said sorry nothing we can do about it-_-

This hotel is not family friendly. This would not be an issue if it was advertised as an adults only or mature environment - something to warn people not to being children. The pool was completely filled with adults drinking alcohol at all hours of the day and night so that children aren't able to swim. There were empty wine glasses and beer bottles left on tables everywhere you walked. There were hookers visiting various rooms. The rooms were stocked with "love kits." It's definitely a pafty/hook-up vibe, which is fine if that's what you are looking for, not obviously doesn't work for children. It's listed as a very upscale hotel and it simply doesn't live up to those standards. I'd warn any family to choose a different hotel.

Ask for a 1-hour late check out for an empty hotel and the staff was incredibly rude. I won't be back and I will let colleagues know to choose a different hotel.

Great location and great staff.

We loved the rooftop pool, rooftop bar and lower level restaurant. All amazing and cutting edge!

Great hotel, location, design, food. Only issue was at pool. Limited shade and also the far, right corner of the pool had a 1 square foot section of a floating collection of a white substance that we guessed was everyone’s sunscreen. So that part was pretty gross.

Love the place. Very modern and clean.
