Size of bathroom and steep stairs but we understood that it's a fisherman's cottage and that is how the property is laid out.

The place was spotlessly clean and well decorated. Nice touch of the wine and biscuits x

Would of been better with 2 keys as our teenage children stay out later than us oldies. The bedding was so thick and fluffy, it would of been nice to have a sheet or not so hot bedding in this hot weather ( or maybe a fan )

The location was fantastic and the property was exceptional, all done to a very high standard. It was like home from home, we had everything we needed. When we got there the host had left a lovely dog box of treats, and we also received a bottle of wine and lemon biscuits, there was also coffee and jams and other little things that made it so special. We could not fault the place, we hope to come back soon. We went to the hosts cafe which was also lovely and very coloured cordinated, shame we didnt get to see host to say thank you for such a wonderful stay. Wilfy our dog also enjoyed the stay, and especially the treats, and ball, hes ball mad, one happy dog. Exceptional place.

This place was impeccable. You could tell straight away that client satisfaction was the priority here and I would full heartedly recommend staying at Ramblers Rest to anyone. A box of luxury biscuits and a a bottle of good wine awaited our arrival and was much appreciated. Thank you so much. p.s. Just to add that I would have given the rating here 101% but had to reduce it to 100% as the salon clock was 20 seconds fast!

Charming fisherman’s cottage, beautifully fitted out with incredible attention to detail. Absolutely everything you need for the perfect stay, great care has been taken to think of everything. Lovely welcome gifts even for our four legged family member! Good quality fixtures and fittings throughout can’t recommend highly enough. Excellent location too.

There isn’t anything not to like!

Though our stay was short we had the best time. The Cottage is immaculate with all the mod cons you will need. A lot ot time and effort has gone in to making it feel very cosy and we loved the seaside theme. It is just around the corner from the parade which has some amazing pubs. We will definately be back!

You cannot fault this property at all, from decor, facilities, comfort and more was to a very high standard. The location is perfect. The hosts Fliss and Ronnie even had a welcome gift for when we arrived. We will definitely tell our friends about this lovely place and will be making plans to go again.

The Rambler's rest was a luxuriously refurbished old fisherman's cottage. The cottage had every amenity needed for an easy stay, fully equipped kitchen, dining area, TV, etc. It was a home from home. The location was very good on the Wirral and close to Chester. We choose to eat at nearby restaurants, lots of options nearby - all walking distance and we even walked our dog on the parkgate front. It was a great escape and we would definitely stay again.

The property is beautifully styled and very well equipped. Lovely location with lots of amenites (e.g. Pubs, restaurents and a tea room....and miles of lovely coastland to walk on) all within walking distance. Excellent communication from the host at every point of contact.

We wanted quiet, relaxed, walk-in and land type stay. We got everything we wanted. Not even a minute from the coast road, hardly a sound at night. The cottage was IMMACULATE. Just perfect.

The thought, care and attention to detail Fliss and Ronnie have put into The Ramblers Rest is apparent from the moment you enter. The cottage is warm, cosy and so comfortable.....quality furnishings throughout the property and the bed was fantastic. We cant wait to return!

The property was warm, welcoming and extremely clean. The beds were really comfortable with good quality linens & soft bath towels.The kitchen was very well equipped & like the rest of the house spotless. The house had been decorated for Christmas, which was a lovely touch. The weather was absolutely freezing so we stayed indoors it felt so cozy & Netflix on the TV was much appreciated! As we were only staying for 2 nights we didn't expect to see a bottle of wine & a large pack of biscuits but they were there along with toiletries, jams, cooking oil, etc, etc. If you're in this part of the world & need a bolt hole look no further, you won't be disappointed! We will be back.....in the warmer weather. Many thanks Fliss.

Nothing, everything was perfect.

Having travelled a lot and stayed in a large number of cottages every little touch has been considered and it made our stay so comfortable. It was spotlessly clean, had extremely comfortable beds with quality bedding, a modern heating system to keep us cosy and a rainfall shower. Additionally, the kitchen was well equipped with tea, coffee and good supplies and Fliss and Ronnie even left a lovely packet of biscuits and a bottle of wine! This cottage is small but perfectly formed and a stones throw from Parkgate front with chip shop, pubs and restaurants. The communication with Fliss was excellent and she accommodated our extra requests. perfect stay!

Great beds, very close to the promenade and a good base for exploring the rest of Wirral and Chester. Well equipped and at a good rate. Comms with the host also very good.

Beautiful home from home modern spacious decorated cottage with character details and high quality items, lovely patio area with table for 2 and lights at night. Fire place and everything you could need. With little extras like toiletries, jams. Two lovely comfortable Double beds. The location is gorgeous and quiet , with a lovely pub across the road

The Stairs are old steep cottage stairs so a little tricky but soon get used to them.

A great long weekend in a beautifully decorated and superbly equipped little fisherman's cottage close to Parkgate's estuary-side Parade. Great use of space, clean and very comfortable. Kitchen has everything you could want, as well as lovely touches such as little pots of jam and gift of biscuits & bottle of Prosecco on arrival. Bathroom small but great shower. Beds very comfortable, with TVs in lounge & main bedroom. Small patio out back with table & chairs to enjoy a glass of wine on a summer evening. Very useful info sheets provided & helpful friendly owners. A good number of excellent pubs & restaurants in walking distance. Nearby Mozkito's does fantastic breakfasts & coffee.

Everything was perfect

Great cottage, in a perfect location for visiting the Wirral while enjoying the seaside atmosphere of Parkgate. Checkin was super easy and the accommodation was clean, comfortable and very well equipped. Bottle of Rose on arrival was much appreciated :) We brought our 10yr old Collie and she loved the big public fields just up the road and walking along the Wirral Way which is a great nature trail along an old disused railway line.
