Lovely welcome. Lovely breakfast. Nice and quiet considering there is a busy road not so far away. However bed not great. It was on casters so rolled all over the place not a great sleep but ok for one night.

It was very quaint staff nice bed comfortable. No chef at the moment you can have breakfast nice bar.

It is a lovely hotel in beautiful surroundings and very easy to get to from the M5. My slight gripe is that I had a constant humming noise in my room which didn’t stop all night. The room itself was very small only just enough space for a single person and some of the furniture was falling apart. But the people who work there are friendly and warm and I couldn’t fault the service and pleasant attitude.

Superb place to stay, just off the main road up a long drive and so very quiet. Very comfortable room - didn’t eat there so can’t comment on the food but the menu looked good. Only tiny bugbear was that there was a small bar of soap but no shampoo provided, which is a rarity nowadays in such an upmarket establishment. All in all, a great place to stay with really easy roads to the motorway.

The hotel was adequate. A convenient location. Clean rooms. Good shower. But there clearly hasn't been any investment for years, so the furnishings and decor were old and tired. The staff were friendly but slow. We didn't eat there. And wouldn't stay there again.

A nice well located hotel. Ideal for travellers, as just off the motor way. The only downside is that it doesn't have a restaurant.

First of all I overpaid for a rubbish family room that had no lock to the kids attached bedroom. It just says fire exit but anyone can open the door from outside. I had no sleep all night because my kids were too scared to sleep there so they were in our tiny bed. I chatted with the lovey hotel.com agent Christine who was very helpful and she told me the hotel initially agreed to refund the unused night, so I checekd our next morning only to findout later he refused the refund and called a liar. I phoned up the Manager who denied everything but slipped from his mouth thay I wasn't the only parent that complaint about the door. The drawers in my kids room just fell apart when my son tried to open it and even that when we mentioned he was surprised as if we were lying. My biggest regret is not taking pictures/ video to prove it. Run down rubbish with a very rude receptionist who also lied saying "why dont you chcke out and we will give you thw refund later when manager is awake" then completely went missing. This place was totally overpriced. I only stayed a night and lost £122 which I wouldnt have even paid just £30 for a night. Absolutely rubish and Dissapointing stay. Please make a note of this hotel so this will not happen again.

A restaurant that didn’t serve food (no chefs) Breakfast that took just a bit too long. Poor outside lighting for an evening drink. Feelings of isolation - where are the people! Could be so much better - if you survive that lot the sheep at the back get on your nerves. I didn’t feel like I was staying in a hotel…

Very warm welcome . Lovely room great view of the knoll . Quality bed linen and towels . Tea coffee and biscuits and TV in room . Plenty of hot water . Good freshly cooked breakfast happy to meet individual needs . Excellent value for money . Recommend.

Hotel was in a good situation close to the Cheddar gorge and caves just off the M5Also plenty of parking spaces next to hotel.

Lovely hotel friendly staff very clean room. During the early hours we had a horrebdous noise coming from the radiator between 12-4am room 6. Also the shower water was cold bath water scalding hot. So a little dissappointed but not bad for the price we paid.

Very welcoming and accommodating. All staff were very helpful - great customer service.

All very pleasant room food and staff were very nice. On the down side we were above reception and there was a constant banging of doors

Really good first impressions. The lady at the front desk at check-in was really nice and welcoming, offered to take our bags up to our room after taking a few details and just making us feel very welcome.Place looked very nice, quite old fashioned but not a problem for us, we really liked the style/look.Room was spacious and was very good for the cheap price we paid, better than more expensive hotels we have been in the past. Didnt really have a view from the window but was only there 1 night and we got there late in the evening so we wouldnt have really seen the view anyway.Bathroom facilities were very good, the shower was one of the best showers we have ever had, although they have a loud air vent system that makes quite abit of noise throughout having a shower and after but wasnt too much trouble noise wise as they had a seperate door to the main room which blocked out most that noise if closed.The bed was very comfy with plenty of pillows, the tv was small but for the price was ok, wifi was easy to access and worked great with no problems, phone signal was bad in room but ok outside of hotel.One nice touch with the room was the fact they left a small selection of biscuits next to the tea making facilities and also had a small hairdryer on hand.Wasnt much noise throughout the night and overall very pleased with the room itself.Didnt have breakfast/dinner so cant comment on that.Parking was great, loads of spaces.Overall Fantasic visit, would 100% return.

Gem of a find, great price, very friendly, walkable to a cafe, restaurant and large garden centre. Driving distance to Burnham on sea, very accessible with lovely grounds.

Staff friendly and welcoming. Room comfortable and quiet. Included continental breakfast great, staff happy to toast gluten free bread for my wife.

Lovely large room, booked luxury double with king-size bed but bed was normal double.Slept really well though. Good continental breakfast included, excellent price for 3 nights. Couldn't get bath jets to work, did ask at reception and lady said she would send her husband up but no one came. Stopped in room 20.

The staff are very friendly cannot do enough for you. Room very clean an plenty of space. I feel the menu needs looking at. Was staying for a friends special Birthday stayed at hotel for evening meal, menu more like a lunch time menu not an evening menu for a hotel, very poor an very poor quality. Breakfast cereal, fruit + fruit juice put out the night before an not all cereal was covered. I would stay again but would eat else where

Lovely family-owned business. Rooms were pleasant, the bed was heavenly and the free breakfast a great bonus. The location is good for accessing tourist spots and the beaches.

Property has been refurbished with a touch of humour.

Most enjoyable stay, beautiful room with four poster bed and lots of room. Would highly recommend with great access to M5 close by.

Friendly staff, plenty of parking, well decorated room and modern bathroom - decent continental breakfast and filter coffee included in the room rate - I would recommend it :)

The Grange was a lovely country inn, set back from the highway so very quiet. Had sheep outside my window! The staff was very friendly and attentive to our needs. The breakfast was good - delicious croissants and cereal and pastries available as part of the continental included. Could offer off menu if desired. This is not the Ritz, but it is a very nice and welcoming inn, in a lovely setting. Oh and the pub is nice too!

Nice big clean rooms with a comfortable beds. Powerful hot shower. Staff were very welcoming and friendly.

This is an amazing hotel, run by an even more amazing family. I have never experience such hospitality in a hotel in the UK - really really good stuff - ample parking, decent restaurant and bar. We had an unbelievable value for money price too, to top it all up. Great location, nice views and close enough to Burnham On the Sea, as well as Cheddar.
