Das Haus ist sehr schön, wenn auch an der ein oder anderen Stelle etwas renovierungsbedürftig. Die Führung am nächsten morgen war interessant und hat uns gut gefallen. Es gibt gratis Parkplätze fürs Auto

Kein Empfang. Beim Self Check In bekommt man einen Schlüsselbund und muss selbstständig rausfinden welcher der Schlüssel für was ist. Die Zimmer sind für meinen Geschmack viel zu vollgestellt und ziemlich staubig (für Leute mit Hausstaub Allergie eher ungeeignet). Da es nicht sonderlich warm war, war unser Zimmer zudem enorm kalt und im Schrank gab es nur eine(!) warme Decke für ein Zimmer in dem bis zu 8 Personen untergebracht werden können. Das Frühstück ist kein Buffet, stand auch in der Beschreibung, unter drei Gänge hätte ich mir allerdings in den USA etwas anderes vorgestellt, es war ziemlich wenig. Ein bisschen nervig fand ich auch die Kommunikation. Bei vielen unserer Hotels haben wir vorher und nachher Nachrichten bekommen, das ist normal und in Ordnung. Aber hier waren es doch recht viele und ich fand es nicht ok im Nachhinein mehrere Nachrichten zu bekommen, in denen ich darum gebeten wurde nur tolle Bewertungen abzugeben und wenn es was auszusetzen gäbe, dies nur „privat“ an sie zu kommunizieren. So sollten Bewertungssysteme nicht funktionieren, als Reisender möchte ich mich darauf verlassen, dass Leute hier ihre ehrliche Meinung äußern.

We had a truly memorable stay. The property is as comfortable as it is beautiful, and the staff were all exceptionally welcoming. The morning talk about the house’s history was the icing on the cake - thank you.

We stayed 3 nights and the breakfast was fabulous. The Duff Green is close to anything you would like to do. Museums, restraunts etc.

Mattresses not particularly comfortable compared to average hotel. But room otherwise great!

The Duff Green Mansion is a unique place. A truly historic hotel in an antebellum mansion, not a historic Disneyworld. The atmosphere of the dining room, grand salon and lounges are sensational. The pool is probably the nicest in town. Breakfast is not the usual buffet stuff but delicious breakfast dishes are served - great. But the most impressive thing after breakfast was the guided tour through the estate, you learn a lot about the history of the house before, during and after the Civil War and about the people who lived here.

The furnishings of our room was a bit outdated, perhaps something could be adapted here without compromising the historic atmosphere.

Staff was friendly and accomodating! Rooms charming and clean. Breakfast was delicious. Complimentary guest kitchen with coffee, soda, and water much appreciated. Located closely to all tourist attractions in a quiet neighborhood.

Everything...house tour after breakfast! Cindy was a fountain of information. Met some nice people at breakfast. Great experience!!
