Chimney Mtn Chalet - Spacious Pet Friendly Chalet for the Whole Family
Sii in cima al mondo al Chimney Mountain Chalet. Percorri una strada sterrata fino al vialetto lastricato che ti porta in questa spaziosa casa decorata con un tema da cowboy. Il cortile è un paradiso per bambini con tanto spazio per giocare. Nella parte posteriore è un cortile recintato per il cane (s). Il ponte superiore è attrezzato con mobili da giardino, un'altalena e una casa per cani. La griglia a gas si trova sotto la parte coperta del ponte con un ventilatore a soffitto e la luce sopra! Di fronte alla casa c'è una veranda riparata con tavolo, panche e sedie.

We had a wonderful time seen lots of wildlife the best wast the family of deer grazing in the front yard and with them big windows looking out and seeing them was awesome kids were so excited to see baby deer and we got to see a family of turkey at end of drive way

I booked this chalet with my oldest daughter who is graduating high school this year and requested a "hiking" spring break. My youngest daughter accompanied us, but we left the boys at home. The Good: Easy booking, confirmation, check-in, & communication. Fast Wifi with multiple devices and Smart TV. Location was easy to find and close to our planned hikes. Price was within our budget and we were in a community of homes, but felt as if we were in solitude. LOVED the gas stove, pantry, icemaker, coffeemaker(K-cup or pot) options.Areas for improvement: MICE! On the first couple of days, I kept hearing a scratching sound...even waking me at night and I figured it was outside critters or something. However, on the third day of our stay, I woke to make coffee and a mouse ran across the kitchen floor. I was shocked. So I planned to call Georgia Mountain Rentals, but failed to do so as the days activities got away from me. The following morning I had ALL the lights on in the kitchen as I went to make coffee only to see ANOTHER mouse cross my path. I held the scream in this time and did NOT get up on the chair, but I did NOT fail to let Georgia Mountain Rentals know that they have a REAL PROBLEM here. On our last day, my youngest called me into her bedroom. I asked why...and she said a mouse had just run past her and into the closet. I was the only I took the broom and steeled my mind to kill the rodent. I failed. The biggest problem I had with this mouse issue in a country home is the suggestion by the rental company to come bring "a mouse trap". REALLY? ONE mouse trap? Without the rodents this would have been an enjoyable stay. Rodents had me sweeping after meals and this pet friendly had so MUCH dog hair I would otherwise NOT have noticed. Kitchen lacks task lighting, sauce pans, crockpot, basic baking dishes like 8x8 or 9x13 pyrex. But a skull shaped cake pan IS available...lol. Mostly....GET RID OF THE MICE!

The house was described well. Really, thought the children room was cute even with extra toys. Being said, there is only one small tv in the entire house. I know we should unplug but most people are used to a television especially children. The driveway seemed scary at 1st but once you go up and down twice you’re a pro.
PILLOWS!- Bring your own, ALL are flat throughout and you need to double them up.
But we did all in all enjoyed

Our fur babies enjoyed the outdoors & loved sleeping by the fireplace at night.And the staff of Georgia Mountain Rentals were helpful & very personable. For being the first time staying in the mountains the driving did take some getting used to. Especially, the high grade driveways which could be a bit daunting, if it is a first time in the mountains.

This is our 2nd time staying at this cabin. If you don’t like stairs, have kids and dogs - this is the perfect place for you ! We love the privacy and large yard , and this cabin is close to Helen and all the waterfalls and hiking trails.

The cabin was spectacular. It was extremely large spotless. It was close to Helen easy to get to. And our dogs love the fenced in backyard which saves a lot of time walking them. The staff was tremendous and special.Thanks to Jessica. We always stay at Georgia mountain rentals.

We loved our stay! It was very peaceful and quiet. The cabin was very clean. The home was stocked with all the amenities we needed to be comfortable. The open glass front made for amazing views. The see-through fireplace into the bedroom was very nice and cozy. The driveway up can be intimidating at first but it is well maintained and safe and very manageable. We would stay here again.

We had a great time at this property. We were able to use the amenities such as the hot tub, fire pit, laundry, fenced in back yard area. We didn't utilize the grill. Most were found in good working order. Our dog enjoyed the fenced back yard and roaming free since the neighbors were a good distance away. Great view of the mountains from the dining area! The master bath is huge and beautiful! There were a few inconveniences: There was no access to the closet in the master bedroom. No counter space to place toiletries in the guest bathroom. No access to the garage to park, but parking in the driveway was fine with easy access to the home. The sound on the TV sound was poor quality and it was hard to understand dialog. Fireplace was not functional or maybe we were doing something incorrectly. The stairs on the front of the house leading up to the screened porch (noted in the pictures) have been removed. There were scuff marks noted all over the wood floor. Overall, we were very happy with the property and would stay here again if in the area.

We had a wonderful stay. The house is in a great location where we could easily get to all of the parks we were wanting to visit. Helen is very close so we spent several evenings checking out the restaurants and shops. For this trip, it was my husband, myself, our 1 year old, and our dog so the house was perfect. I can see how the layout of the house with access to the backyard might be a little awkward for a bigger group but it was perfect for us. Not having to bring our own dog crate and dog bowls was very convenient. Love the windows in the main room and we were lucky to see deer prancing through the front yard one afternoon. The house could use some updates and maintenance, which was expected for us, but we would stay there again.

The Chimney Mountain Chalet was beautiful and relaxing. The cabin had everything we needed and more with comfort. Myself, hubby and two daughters ages 18 and 22 were very happy with the cabin. This is not a deal breaker at all but the narrow gravel road leading up to the house was definitely a bit concerning but once you drive very slow going up and down it’s fine. We definitely recommend staying here. Thank you so much.

We are a family of 3 traveling with a 4 year old and a dog. I will start with the fact that my son loved the bedroom with the chalkboard wall and all the toys in the closet. He built with the legos every day. The house was like the pictures. The driveway was a little steeper than expected but was fine. The house was only about 15 minutes away from Helen. We saw wildlife on the property. AC is important and worked great. We would stay again if in the area.

This property is amazing! From the design of the home to the location, it was a perfect fit for us. Everything was clean and welcoming, the jacuzzi was warm and inviting. Pleanty of games and the kids love the chalk board wall. We look forward to renting this location again in the near future!

Everything was clean, all towels and amenities were provided as stated. We completely enjoyed our stay there. We had no complaints. The smart TV is a little dated and slow, but we weren't there to watch TV. I would say it was a great stay, and Georgia Mountain Rental was available to us whenever we had a question and was always pleasing to talk to.

It was ok - but will not be back to visit this property again. Ga mtn rentals was great. This property is lacking and out dated. You had to go through the master bath to cook steaks on the grill, go to the hot tub or let the dog out in the tiny backyard. Very sparce on dishes and pans in the kitchen. Internet worked half the time / never got direct tv to work. Had to use our on log ins for our own accts for netflix, hulu, yourube, and disney.

It was nice & roomy. The hot tub was great. The bedrooms were spacious & I really like having curtains. It was close to Helen, just a few miles away. Also near Anna ruby falls. The night sky was awesome, you could see all the stars. We found everything we needed in the kitchen. We think you need to put instructions on how to work the TV and stereo. We just couldn’t figure it out, which was ok because we play lots of card games. We definitely would stay here again. Had a great time.

My family and I were looking for a pet friendly cabin near Helen and this location provided us with that and more. We all enjoyed our stay here at this beautiful cabin. The home is spacious and very clean. We felt right at home. The location was great. It's not a terrifying drive where you're going up difficult terrain. It's about 10 minutes from Helen. The weather was great, the cabin was beautiful, and my family and I had a memorable experience.

We toured amazing wineries and waterfalls. This was the first time I ever saw a waterfall. Our dog Jericho who is a 6 month old Alaskan Malamute absolutely loved all of the fallen leaves. The hot tub was excellent on the cold nights. Thank you so much!!

This property is just as gorgeous in person as the listing. My husband and I recently took our golden retriever up to the mountains to go hiking and chose this pet friendly location. They provided so many items that made our stay more convenient like stocked kitchen essentials, dog crate and bowls, and plenty of towels! The fenced in yard made letting our pup out in the mornings worry free and we used the hot tub daily. Truly a beautiful property with a central location to Helen, several hikes, and wineries! We will be staying again next year, no doubt!

My friend just retired from a very stressful job and I wanted her to have a few days to catch her breath and relax, This was definitely the place. it was secluded and quiet. She especially enjoyed seeing the deer everyday. This home was clean and comfortable and well stocked. I would recommend it to anyone.

We really enjoyed staying here. It was so nice finding a beautiful property that allowed pets with a fenced in yard. There was also toys in the kid room that helped keep my child occupied. I will note that the porches are a little awkward. You have to go through the master bedroom to access the porch with the hot tub, grill and fenced yard but we made it work. I definitely recommend staying here.

This property is just fantastic. We had an amazing time. The pictures online don't do it justice. This place is much better in person! Great fenced in backyard for the dogs. It is fully stocked with everything you need. You feel very secluded in the woods.

We had a wonderful weekend!!! Beautiful property loaded with amenities. There were toys and games for all age groups. Plenty of relaxing activities for adults including the jacuzzi tub and hot tub. Minutes from Helen and all that it has to offer. Would recommend to all families.

We absolutely adored this property, it had everything you could want in a home. It was super clean the view is so beautiful. The hot tub is such a bonus with clear view of the stars at night. Loved the master bath, the heated floors were a dream. They only thing I would change is to add one more t.v as their is only 1 t.v in the house, but heck as parents we didn't mind, more so for kids at night and softer mattress. If your reading this review wondering if you should book this home! Just do it!

The pictures are very representative of the property. The fenced in yard was great to be able to just let the dog out. The views of the sunrise were amazing. It's a great location near Helen, GA and many activities. The management company proactively reached out to make sure we checked in ok and had everything we needed which was a nice tough.
