The location is good.

The taxi dropped us off at the hotel and we thought he had made a mistake. It looked like an old abandoned hotel. We were told that the hotel reception is on the other side of the road, so we thought, well that explains it. We checked in and were taken across the road again to the old building. The room felt very damp, as if there was a problem with the air con. The pillows had a bad smell, so we had them changed. One of the workers discharged a lot of water from a storage tank at the end of the hotel. Maybe this is causing the damp. It's called Palm garden but there is no garden!! It's just an old building that needs demolishing tucked away from everything. I understand it's cheap butthe damp problem makes it very uncomfortable to spend any time in the room, let alone to sleep. Also the matress was very unusual, as if there were a number of blankets over an old damaged matress. The hotel needs a lot of maintenance and TLC. Just approaching the hotel, the first door is a cummunal toilet that's always open with a basket full of used paper. They provide two outdoor pieces of furniture at the front of the hotel, but the padded cushions are missing. Overall a very disapointing stay.

Only fault was that the shower had no water pressure and our room was not serviced on the second day.
