Beautiful atmosphere with palm trees and hibiscus flowers lining the courtyard. The staff was friendly and helpful. They even got up early to give us breakfast before our 6am departure. The showers had hot water and the air conditioning worked well

Pleasant place for visiting the town and shell island

The staff is nice, the food is very good & for a good price. Do not take a tour with any guide they recommend - not worth the price, time nor sights. Long story. Just don't.

The sheets in our 4 rooms had not been changed and were dirty (hair and half-dried blood from killed mosquitoes). This was not a question of washed but old sheets - the sheets had not been changed/washed. My other friends felt that other things were also not cleaned, but the main problem was the sheets.

Very friendly and helpful staff, good location, and overall very good value for money. I can recommend staying here.

The Staff was very nice. The hotel in general looks good. We enjoyed the swimming pool and the nice brise when dining on the patio.

The AC in our bedroom didn't work well, so Samuel had us moved to an other room. Where the AC was working but the water pressure was really slow plus we couldn't really find our sleep since there was a mouse running around the room during the night (it ate some of our food). The premises look good but there is a lack of maintenance.

Everything. Easy location, very friendly employers that helped us a lot with information, transportation... Restaurant with great food and affordable prices. We liked it so much we asked to stay there one more night. Highly recommend it.

We had a fabulous stay at Joal Lodge. Samuel is a wonderful host, and took very good care of us. The lodge is very near the beach and local amenities. The location is safe, secure and quiet. The locals are curious and friendly. Wandering the beach and village streets made for lots of good experiences. Our trip to Shell Island, an easy flat walk, was worthwhile and different again. Our transfer from Dakar ferry port was as arranged and without trouble. Samuel helped arrange our onward taxi, and currency exchange. The food was delicious, as was the gin! I wish we had time to stay longer!

Air conditioning worked well. Hotel is beautifully situated by the sea with an attractive garden. Swimming pool pleasant. Breakfast on the rooftop terrace was delightful. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Room slightly small and dark. Bed had foam mattress which wasn't super comfy. The house guide was a bit pushy. Staff put a cleaning product in the pool the evening I stayed then told me not to swim.

The location is convenient, near the beach and Fadiouth island. The room was good and rather clean. We enjoyed the swimming pool and the food at the restaurant. The staff was friendly and helpful.

- The host Samuel was very warm and welcoming - We had a couple of issues with the room and Samuel was very forthcoming to resolve them - Very cool and relaxing vibe in the compound - Good value for what you’re paying

- There we’re some issues with the room: the toilet and the A/C were leaking - The beds were from this foam material and were not very comfortable

The property is perfectly located in Joal, in walking distance from the gare routière and Fadiouth island. It’s a quiet little oasis with nice views on the sea and the village from the roof top terrace. Also the stuff is very welcoming and helpful and the food offered at the restaurant tasty.

Breakfast: Good basic breakfast with butter and baguette. Cleanliness: Really clean room. Noise: No noise coming from the street. Mattress Comfort: Really good mattress, maybe a bit short. Kindness: REALLY kind workers helping in everything we needed. Restaurants and eating: Some restaurants nearby.

Samuel was so helpful, showing us the way to the bus station and giving information about Fadiouth. The food was tasty. The entire facily is very charming with a swimming pool, houses made of natural materials and relaxed atmosphere. Walking distance to Fadiouth. Great price quality ratio. Wifi strong enough to make audio calls.

The staff was very friendly. The place is small but beautiful and relaxing. The swimming pool is cleaned more than one time per day, so it's clean all day. The rooftop has sea views.

To say something bad, the mattress of the bed is a little bit sodt

A lovely hotel with a nice view from the Rooftop. The staff was friendly and Samuel (the menager) is a very kind person.

It is quaint and charming, the pool was clean and staff was initially welcoming.

First room did not have hot water and running toilets. We were moved to different room but the mattress was terrible and made the night difficult. Breakfast was minimal.
