Very good hotel. Staff is amazing

Very well located for access to Paradiso fery dock & train station, as well as central Lugano. Very friendly & helpful staff.

We had a small problem at check in with the room but the gentleman on reception was really great and we changed room. His professional manner and advice regarding the room was very good. We had a good stay and would happily stay again. Loved having a balcony to look out over the lake. Stunning.

Sure some of the room decor needs updating. But great location, very comfortable and quiet. Reception and breakfast staff were great.

Across the street from the promenade and lake which is great . Had to take taxi from/ to main train station which was very expensive . Our room booking said “ partial view “ but that was only if you turned head 90 degrees standing on tiny balcony , we mostly just saw another building .

the location

This was a good hotel in a built up area, right across the road from the lake. We booked a room on the side of the hotel with a partial view of the lake and after initially giving us the wrong room, they corrected it immediately. Our room was comfortable and quiet (with the windows closed) and had a small balcony where we sat and enjoyed a view of part of the lake. The bathroom was a standard hotel bathroom. The buffet breakfast was pretty good, not awesome, but there was a lot of choice and the coffee was excellent. The hotel was within comfortable walking distance of Lugano center and just 10 minutes from the funicular that goes to the top of San Salvatore (well worth it!), so thumbs up on location. In my view it was expensive for what it was. Our other hotels in Switzerland were all less expensive. But perhaps being on the lake in Lugano in August is just at a premium.

Furniture was old and overall Hotel appearance had a old feeling

Everything about staying here was a treat. A comfortable walk along the lake to restaurants and shops. Staff was exceptional and facilities clean and modern.

Had the best stay. Location is perfect, views were incredible, service was great, breakfast was delicious and the room was excellent. Great value, highly recommend.

Great property right in front of lake Lugano, in perfect condition. My room was large (strange for Europe, though easier to find in Switzerland), had lots of light and excellent views. The hotel is 10 minutes walking from the centre, and the area (Paradiso) is very nice as well. Breakfast was good though not exhuberant, which was fine with me and my family. Bathroom was luminous and spacious. Mattresses could be a bit better, but overall the experience was excellent.

Very good breakfast, good coffee, nice staff. Our room for two was spacious, but curiously no wardrobe, while the room for one had a pretty decent one. Small tv and a bit outdated (e.g. not smart, with USB, but I couldn't get it working), but a good number of channels covering many languages.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was a pretty standard hotel room, nothing very special (just a small balcony with a tiny partial view of the lake) but it was clean and well maintained, and had very good air conditioning, which was definitely needed in August. The common areas of the hotel (lobby, hallways) are also well maintained, but the decor is not very thoughtful or inspiring—quite bland hotel decor. The restaurant and bar areas are lovely, and the included breakfast buffet is excellent, with lots of options for all tastes. The location is right on the lake, a short walk from both Paradiso and Piazza Riforma (wonderful area for restaurants and shopping), and is also right across the street from the dock where you can take a ferry ride to Morcote, which should NOT be missed. We had a very nice stay here!

Overall this is a beautiful hotel in a perfect location. I would highly recommend

average, comfortable but nothing fancy

We only stay one night but our stay was great! The hotel is walking distance to the city center. The staff was very helpful, the room has clean and it had a great view of lake Lugano.

I liked the location & the staff. However, rest didn’t meet the standards needed for a 4 star experience. We had a junior suite and during the 2 night of our stay, we noticed some insects and bugs crawling around the wall. While the room was clean, it was strange to see this. The next day we notified the staff & I hope it has been resolved since. We paid a lot for our 2 night stay and didn’t expect this experience.

This an older property in a wonderful location. The facility needs some upgrading though the excellent staff do their best to compensate for the facility shortcomings. It is located right on the promenade enabling an easy walk to all the activities on the lake. It is also a short (and pleasant) walk to downtown Lugano.

Overall a descent stay. We only stayed for one night. The room were clean and spacey. After check-in we wanted to relax by the pool and enjoy a beer or two. However, the restaurant was closed, and there were no bar service at all. The hotel is by no means bad, it's a descent hotel, but, way overpriced. The location however is top notch.

The hotel is clean and located in a very nice area. There are bus stations near to the hotel. Since we had our kid with us, we had asked for a cot and we had received confirmation about it from the hotel, but the cot was not ready when we got the room. The surprising thing was that atbthe hotel the it was difficult to understand that a baby cot needs also bed sheets. Later housekeeping provided us with all the required sheets and covers. The breakfast was OK, even though it could be much better for a 4 star hotel. We had a problem with the blind of the balcony door and they tried to repair it while we were staying at the room, which was inconvenient for us. But, we got compensation for the inconvenience.

Convenient location near bus and boat transport. Taxis readily available as well. Nice walking/Running area along lake front.

The hotel has a nice location on the lake, but is a long walk into the heart of Lugano. That’s ok for the exercise and exploring, but not convenient for finding dinner places in the car-free center of town. Dinner choices nearby are limited to 2-3 plus the hotel itself. Otherwise staff were great and hotel is an old classic that has tried to keep updated.

This hotel is a very beautiful place to spend your vacation at, it has a gorgeous view to the lake ,the rooms are so spacious and clean .the staff are really their for you if you need anything .plus the managers and the receptionists are above and beyond they greet you every time they see you, they help you with any small things that you need.i really recommend this hotel to every person want to visit lugano.

We entered our rooms around 10pm and it was so hot & humid in the room we just left the bags and went for a 2.5 hour walk with the AC on full blast and still the room was smelly, hot and stuffy. 1 of the 2 rooms was slightly cooler and we put the kids to bed snd we couldn’t sleep until past 2am due to the heat and humidity. We called the front desk and nobody even came up. I don’t even want to talk about the poor lighting, old (not clean looking) bedding, lack of pillows and I have stayed in 4 star hotels all over the world and this was by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at with a 4 star designation.

The hotel has an amazing location and very friendly staff. The room was spacious and the pool is a nice extra! I will come back for sure.
